Sir i believe in paragraph 3 the right side is informal because the words underlined should i meant for friends and close relatives . When writing formal you shouldn't abbreviate and the subject and verb agreement should be considered . This is my try . Thank you sir

Thanks for making this simpler, just formal & informal. Can you please tell me is it okay to use mix of British and American spellings ? As when I checked I realised that due to exposure to both types some I know are British and some are American.
Formal letter write to letter an unknown person who is at a higher position. Informal letter write to someone who know personally like as friends and family members

To learn more about the differences between the Academic and General Training IELTS exams, check out our article titled 'IELTS Preparation - Everything You Need to Know' on our website. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us. Best of luck with your test!
Teacher Chris, Will the examiner cue us after 20 minutes in task 1? Or should we just write and finish as quickly as possible?. I ask because on the reminders that the British Council gave, it says not to wear a watch.
Do not write and finish as quickly as possible - there will be a clock on the wall during your exam, you should use this to manage your time as wisely as you can.
Sir ,pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee make a video on semi formal letter. Even the official cambridge book states that there is semi formal as a type of letter, however they haven't covered much of it.so neeeeeeeeeeeed a video from you. Thanks.

Right because the words are written in full and not short form unlike the informal one.
on the left side is formal because the word phrases like most significant
Left is formal because sentences are structured properly as compared to right side information shared.
Right is formal because it is more direct and the left is informal because of the word reckon which is informal
Sir amazing!! Can u also tell about semi formal letters and difference between formal and semi formal letter

@@Ieltsadvantage sir i mean to say could you make a video on how to fully develop three bullet points in a letter . I dont understand what to write in a three paragraphs exactly even though the bullet points are given in a letter.
Informal is because, the points are direct and not used with words that are a bit advance example instead of traveling it mentioned on the way.
thank you vey much❤
The left ,is formal because it’s more formal but the right one has short form
Thank you this was very helpful

Hi Shekiba! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. Can you please rephrase your question? Alternatively, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help.
Thank you for your answer. I told that word( I'm ) is use in informal letters but in this video use for formal letter.
the first one is formal because there is no informal word used like the word silly used in other side
Informal, only friend. Rest of others format. Pretty clear
Great to hear!
Best......Tutor
Thank you for making us think why a letter is formal or informal. It was helpful indeed. Please make more videos on GT sections. You make less videos on GT.
Left is informal because of the contraction used.
I lost it while traveling is formal because you are making your boss to understand
Its the choice of words you use that make it formal or informal..
Right side is informal, because it is detailed explained
And formal writing is always to the point
Thanks for making this simpler, just formal & informal.
Can you please tell me is it okay to use mix of British and American spellings ?
As when I checked I realised that due to exposure to both types some I know are British and some are American.
I would recommend sticking to one.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Is there any guidance available regarding this on your website ?

Right is formal & left is informal sir
right is formal the use of the word inform and removal of justly
Great tips and explanation. Which english vocabulary american or british should we use on writing?
I mean because of the verb travel written in a sentence, on gerund form in british double L but in american doesn't.
It doesn't matter but remember to stay consistent.
Informal is more like a conversation. Formal is more like an application.
That's correct.
Significant item,, contained, quite sure are formal as compare to laptop was in there, 100% which is usually informal
Sir ,pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee make a video on semi formal letter. Even the official cambridge book states that there is semi formal as a type of letter, however they haven't covered much of it.so neeeeeeeeeeeed a video from you. Thanks.
