A TCG where the Creatures have "IVs" is pretty much what the Chaotic TCG did. Every creature had a mostly unique set of stats that ranged between set highs and lows. Making "Perfect Stat" cards like an extra tier of rare. It was also the first successful Physical/Digital hybrid TCG. Each card had a unique code written on them and they could be inputted into the official website to "Upload" your collection to the online player. Such a neat game, but sadly they had to cease production due to legal issues with one of their licensers. But the current owner of the franchise is trying to push to bring the franchise back.
I have been trying to keep my eyes on Neopets again, and this missed me till now. If you don't market, you are almost doomed to fail. It doesn't matter how good a product is, if the 15% that'll autobuy it without question NEVER hear about it, they cannot interact with it. I got excited when I saw this video! I enjoyed the cardgame, and was trying to figure out how to gain access to my cards again. But if I didn't see this video, I likely would have found out too late, if it didn't already die.
You miss understood the battle system. You need to roll a 4 or higher to successfully deal 1 damage, and you need to roll a 4 or higher to successfully block 1 damage; 6 attacking is unblockable. Exp: I'm attacking you; I roll a 5, you roll a 4, you take no damage. I roll a 6, you also roll a six, you take 1 damage, because 6 cannot be blocked. I roll a 5, you roll a 2, you take 1 damage. That being said, when you roll dice for other things like potions, that means 1-3=fail, 4-6= success. Hope that clears up some confusion.
Reading through the rules again, it still seems to be multiple dice to have agility make sense. The picture even shows multiple dice on the rule page. I think 1 dice would be a lot cleaner, though
@@ShardTCG Let's say I have 4 atk and you have 3 def, I have 2 agility and you have 3 agility; my dice rolls are 4,5,5,3 and your rolls are 5,6, and 1. I have 3 successful hits and 1 misses, you have 2 successful blocks and 1 miss. You have 1 higher agility then me, so you can now re-roll your miss 1 time (because that is the difference in our agility) in an attempt to make it a successful block. If I had 1 agility more then you, and I had 2 missed atk die, I could re-roll 1 atk die 1 time to try and make it a hit, and if my agility was 3 higher then yours I could re-roll both of my misses a total of 3 times between both die to make them both hit. A little long winded, but hope that helps.
I hope it does well. To get an order to the UK will cost me more on delivery than the box of cards themselves. I may have to wait a little longer to get my hands on them.
Don't try to reinvent the wheel. TCGs have a lot in common. Find your style in one or two mechanics and then stop. As for being a youtuber, ask yourself what value each video can deliver.

Aww, nice.
Thanks for that nugget of knowledge.

Glad it's sunny wherever you are in the uk :|.
I just burn so easily 😅
I have been so hyped since finding this out. Even if it doesn't take out like wild I'm sure it'll be fun and there is sooo much nostalgia
I hope it does well.

Be yourself. It's easier on you unless you have a goal in mind, like giving it your all or ARG.
