Vintage 80th Birthday Cookie Set

A friend of one of my repeat clients reached out to me asking for 80th birthday cookies for her MIL. I was told her MIL's favorite color is purple and that she loves pretty floral or Victorian styles. I Googled Victorian photos for inspiration, and crafted my entire set around this vision I had of a gold gilt frame - a design I really hoped I could pull off in cookie form. The gilt frame cookie design in this video took me 30 minutes per cookie, and I made four of them! Two whole hours for one cookie design...Aren't you glad I sped up the video? ;) This whole set pushed the boundaries of intricacy compared to any other cookie set I'd done to date, but I was extremely pleased with how it turned out. Now I am a little less afraid to venture into detailed floral sets in the future!
