Great video as usual, Dan and Merlin. 💥
Thank you. Needed to hear that!
Glad you enjoyed it
Joe is a great guy. Nice video.
Joe is extremely nice guy. It was a pleasure that they had Dan and I at their place to shoot.
Thank you!
Great work Dan and Merlin! This was really interesting. Joe has a solid well rounded collection. With vintage, modern and non-sport. Always smart to gain perspectives and insights from people in the hobby that have pretty much experienced it all. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! Joe is definitely a hobby OG
Great content Dan! Love this video. I’ll see you both in Dallas in a couple weeks!!
Awesome see you in a few weeks
Yes, cannot wait to see you!
Highly enjoyable guys. Keep this kind of content going. Joe is a fantastic person, met him at Anaheim last year and have spoken to him on the phone too about submissions. One thing you guys left out was that when you send cards to him, his people go over the cards and inspect them. If the cards don't look good to grade he lets you know and sends them back to you to save money. Great editing Merlin and Dan we all know you love the camera lol good job!!
Thanks a lot, Adrian!
I'm the on screen talent!
Fun video. I like how he wished that he had his Marvel cards back. Congrats on the Swift pickups
Thank you!
Thank you!
As a gatekeeper in the hobby. You should have advised him to destroy those counterfeits. Why keep them?
Hmm I wonder why a shop owner who actively tries to educate new people in the hobby wouldn't want to keep a collection of fake cards in his store prominently displayed for others to see and examine. That's why we need gatekeepers to keep the bad actors out of the hobby.
I think they are there to educate people on a what a counterfeit card is.
Thanks Guys. We appreciate you coming out to spend time with us. Great job on the video!
We appreciate you all for taking your time out and having us over to shoot the interviews.
Our pleasure!
By the way the "counterfeit" showcase cards show early in the video are all used to educate consumers on the importance of grading as well as to educate them on how to detect counterfeits.
That's a good idea! All shops should have a case like that.
Appreciate you do that, Joe. Do you ever buy raw vintage cards with good eye appeal and then submit for grading? Or are you only buying cards already graded these days?
That's right.
