Not sure how you haven’t met anyone. I’ve been to pyro a few times and most of the time I’ve been targeted and attacked. Most recently on bloom by some doof in a Polaris. What sucks the most about the whole thing is that global chat was down so we couldn’t hail or be hailed. So I guess we were murder hoboed? We weren’t carrying any cargo at all. Fortunately some of my crew were able to exact revenge and were able to take down the offending ship, no honor amonf thieves…or hoboes. 😅 I have yet to experience proper pirating.
Planetary outposts are going to be the busiest more dangerous places you can go. If you stick to stations and away from outposts on planets, it's not to bad.
@@bradythomas5532 not saying you can't, just staying that's not what piracy is. If you kill everyone on sight you're not a pirate you're something else.
I don't see this being worthwhile, at least until we actually need to use system specific resources for crafting, and with the distances involved, probably only with large multi-crew mining ships, which will mean the economy needs to be dynamic enough to factor in those costs.
The mass on that asteroid that blew up was only 740 and you started charged all the way up to 77% with a Helix mining head. Of course it's going to blow up on you.
I don't know ... So far I haven't seen a single reason to go to Pyro ... I can make just as much money in Stanton, simply because I don't have to cross Systems for every load. By the time you find enough good rocks to fill your Ship, I've done 2 runs in Stanton. It's just not worth the risk. XD At least not for me personally.
me too, there are Tier 1 Stones directly outside of Mic-L2 (for example) ... so for one risky trip to pyro I can make in that time 3 trips just outside the home station and make 2x the money
I also haven't been attacked on pyro when i was mining yet. I did 72k with only one stone with raw terranite with the standard mole bags. I will see what i get after refining is done tommorow. Badly i only have found raccite one time...do you know where are good spots for raccite? Thx for the video
Still trying to figure out once you have all your materials in the C2, how do you find routes to sell all of it. Seems so much quicker to just sell it to the refinery
I've popped in to a few of the station Admins to see what they buy and found better prices for a few items through them. For instance, agricium sells for 2.391k at the TDD but 2.502k at HUR-L3. Beryl is 2.533k at the TDD but 2.774k in many other places including HUR-L1 and MIC-L5. Borase gets a boost at the CRU-L5 NQA terminal. For the most part, I only care about alternates for things that are worth more than 1k / SCU because their increase certainly pays for the fuel getting there. This reduces how much I have to take down to the planet resulting in fewer atmospheric trips for a Freelancer Max.
Yep, all the reddit and spectrum posts about griefing and ganking are just that... posts. Turns out, even with 600 people, due to the size of Pyro, you still rarely encounter people out in the black. I don't think we'll really see the density increase until they bump it up to 2,000 people. But hopefully basebuilding tier 0 is in by then so people can have their bases out in the verse to avoid landing zone clogging.
Riccite has all the wonderful explosive properties of Quantanium at one tenth of the mass. Its a bomb waiting to happen, and touchy as all... But the Pyro clusters make it worth going out there- upgrade to Mole bags and start chugging money.
@@patrickm.9348right now because the bags are bugged on elevators, you can't buy them and raise them up on an elevator because they get stuck and fall through it. You have to find a mole in the wild (can find them on yellow or orange protect ship alert contracts ) or have a friend pull theirs out and steal their bags and then just have them reclaim their mole. You can also rent the mole to do this but it's 220k or so but it is the easiest way. Once you installed the bags, store ship, remove a component in the VLM, save, close mobi, reinstall component, save, and you're good to go. Now you'll permanently have 48scu n the prospector, even after claims. o7
I want mining to be worth it but atm it’s not . If I get a crew I can fill my mole in about 30 min that’s including take off and landing and walking to elevators. averaging an ore sale price of 80k . Or I take that same crew of me plus 2-3 others have each of us go to different systems share mercenary missions and each of us get the full price payout and rep form them so that’s like almost 200k every 30 min .
Right now, you need to be in scan mode for the initial scan of the rocks, so when they actually appear make sure your in scan mode when pinging, and after a moment it will retrieve the rocks info and they will highlight. After this initial scan, when they un ghost, you can swap to mining mode to individually scan them and mine. o7
The economy is game makes no sense? I can go shoot a NPC in pyro and make 100k in like 2 minutes. Miners should make way more than 80k for a few hours of work
It's not hours, if you're proficient, you can bring back 140k+ loads in 30 mins. If you hit quant, that shoots up to 500k. My best load since Pyro launched has been 38scu of taranite n a prospector n 45 min. Stack up your refining jobs and haul em out, after a day or twos work you can easily haul it out for 3-4 million profit. Mining is all about proficiency. While hauling contracts are insanely profitable right now, you can still make great money doing mining, though it does need a buff in Pyro for the risk/reward. Need more of that Riccite.
My favorite part of mining in Pyro is being able to go straight to the refinery from your hanger.

Proper pirate... literally no such thing lol
@@bradythomas5532 piracy is defined as attacking and robbing ships at sea. Without the robbing part it's not piracy, it's something else.
@jful agree to disagree. It's a law less system. I will always shoot first in pyro. Not worth my time to know if you're friendly.

Pretty cool that you found Riccite.
thx dude, happy new year.
I love pyro! I've been doing missions, but it's time to start mining and doing salvage again. Great vid

I’ve gotten killed every time going to Pyro so I’m in Stanton for now. Time wise you can make more without the loss.
Im about to start mining again because ive given up on the borked missions.
i found it the first day pyro was released just exploring
Can't wait for mining to get cleaned up and for it to work better with hauling. I want connected professions.

I haven’t been able to mine planet side in Stanton due to the bug and can see no reason why it would be any different in Pyro.
Approaching the Stones while in SCN Mode and waiting for them to light up is a workaround for that issue.

Do I just add 4 mole bags and then go

I bought a Vulture and I'm in Stanton for now, 280k for a full ship.
I do miss my Vulture. Very fun ship to fly. Upgraded to the Reclaimer.
I still remember full vulture can make 600k back then. Miss that day😢😢

You refine everything? I've only been refining Tier 1 & 2. Tier 3 takes up too much room when i come to sell it.
Yeah I refine everything :)
how do u actually mine, i tried going to planets and all i find are rocks i cant mine because they are ghost rocks
