I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was traumatized by Alien Encounter because I was maybe 7 or 8 and I fully thought the alien was real and actually ate those people.
I worked at Disney World when it was still at the Magic Kingdom. I enjoyed it as an adult, never recommended it for small kids

I can't believe that you got on Alien Encounter when you were just 4!! How did that not traumatized you 😨?! I get that some kids were desensitized by stuff like that back then, but still! I remember that show since I was 9 from watching the 25th anniversary vacation planning video, which was actually for my first trip to Disney World. I never liked horror, and that looked freaky as heck, so I avoided that like the plague once I've gone to the Magic Kingdom!
However, I did get on it when it was changed to Stitch's Great Escape years later as a teen. I was fine with that even though I felt a little creeped out on it. I found it funny when Stitch would say stuff like, "You can't catch me! You can't catch me!"
Anyway, I loved the island tour! The player who designed it did a great job making it creepy and abandoned even though it there were obviously villagers living on it like there isn't anything wrong going on 😅
Alien encounter was so cool. Lilo and Stitch replaced it for a little while. It was exactly the same as 👽 encounter, but with Stitch. That was like 30 years ago.. I'm old.
OMG I am laughing my butt off. I should not be...but I am. I went to Disney and dragged my daughter on that "ride" She was, like you about 5 or 6. She was so scared and wanted to kill me afterwards. I thought Tower of Terror would be fun next. Needless to say she has trust issues to this day with me. LOL Thanks for bringing up that happy memory. Well it was for me. giggle.

Also I am just a couple of years older than you, and I 100% was traumatized by Alien Encounter. I remember being totally freaked out to the point of tears and my brother kept whispering to me, “it’s okay, it’s not real.” But damn did it feel real!! Horrifying experience for a small child

Aliens can be real on other far off planets, after all we exist and what happened once can happen again. Interstellar travel is another story though.

Just visited this island myself and there's really only two spots you missed (totally understandable why, you were spoiled for choice!):
1. The radio station south of the main house, right around where you were talking about Alien Encounter.
2. The alien... cultists??? on the beach west of the diner. It looks cut off but isn't, so probably easy to miss.
Katie you just do the absolute best island tours IMO of every AC TH-camr. They're perfect balance of time (not too short!) , chill vibes and I love your commentary 😁 and you choose such cool islands. I love this one its truly epic!
Yes! Alien Encounter about traumatized me too. I cried for so long after we got out of the ride 😭 I was probably like 10 or 11.

Are these tours on the users main island or is this on the other island that comes with the DLC? Second q is how can you decorate the villagers homes if it is main island?
So this is the user’s main island. Once you complete the DLC (decorate 30 houses if I remember correctly), then you unlock the ability to decorate villager homes on your own island.
i’m sorry i just had to say, but lone? i’m pretty sure it’s a lowercase L, not an I? so it’s Lone, as in alone? could be wrong though
