Yeah it's possible, I got my 2nd skin for 17k gems. I went from 5 star to 7 star, I was very lucky. If you went from 4 start to 7 start there is a 1% chance to make that jump and get it cheap.

Here what i do with my team in 1458 for f2p.. mainten the droid, alpha 3 twice / day .. gamma 1 once / 2 days.. 1 month plus bonus etc we can earn more than 30K for free
