Yes, I too have suffered SEVERE depression in sobriety. There is nothing harder than to try to explain this to someone who doesn't UNDERSTAND depression. Doesn't BELIEVE depression is real and debilitating. That medication may be necessary! And all of this negativity from someone who's mother and sister committed suicide. Thank God for AA P-11 meetings! Thank God I found the strength to STOP trying to explain it to those who do not understand. A gift from another friend of mine in AA. God is good and brought me through the last depression and I am whole again. One day at a time. Thank you Adell - Thank you!

Thank You. We predicted in 1976 that something odd was invading America. I thought Bowie came back incarnate as ZIGGY. Bowie fan before 75. Thank you. I have CPTSD from prolonged Cluster B abuse. She was / is the narc of most Narcissists. Keeping my son from me because I tried for 20 years to go by her plan and it never was enough. The only cool thing is the LoveBomb thing lasted all the way. I became a father, spent everything I could for my son who is special needs he hates. Because there is a generous in him. And as I frightfully held him he clinched to me. now and his growing up he gave me the biggest hug. That's my AA. Well I want No Contact I had a major derision. Trauma hit me and she spent 2 grand trying to entice me into family court again. Its rigged. Beware individually of self help coaches are Diabolical. Now if I was a Narcissist I wouldn't waste my time setting out to ruin anyone. She was proud she had almost pushed me to suicide. Instead I threw 20 years away Going Out on Weed. But I have 8 consecutive days off pot and a year off booze. 5 things caused my downfall. I never forgave myself and some II couldn't forgive even though I made amends. Expectations, Resentments in Construction. Faulty Demands blocking Emotional Sobriety. If any of you are hiding Trauma, please have it professionally handled. There is something was shared with me in 97 At The West Drug and Alcohol Center on Santa Monica Blvd and Robertson Blvd here in LA. My Dr failed to tell me once Trauma sets in if not dealt with it lays adornment. After escape from abuser , that's the trauma hits hard. So if I have to go on every page and tell all you better deal with it. I took conflicting opinions and tried to combine. And I have cognitive Dissodence. My son , my sobriety and sacrifice, speaks for itself. I called to get to rehab to get off of Pot, now they are treating addicts in my neck of the woods. Dated a chick who's staunch circuit speaker yet a pot secret smoker she finally quit. Now I'm a recluse isolated and when hugged or anything by a woman I fall apart.my shrink says I'm healing. Bless you I had two boys with various special needs, 20+ years sober I took pain pills as prescribed by me, 7 years ago, I took a new date.
On my own I’ve raised those boys.
I’m finishing my steps again with a sponsor with experience with ptsd, and other similar traumas. I’m hoping you are well today. Blessings and light 🕉🇦🇺🙏🙏🏽

He Deborah, You don't "cannot" you "care not". I understand, our addiction, please remember your continuing to drink, you are its only casualty. Remember your the only casualty every time you go to drink. You have to be willing to bare the discomfort of withdraw. My sponsor use to tell me, when God sent us to earth, he gave us 1 soul and to that soul he attaches 1 ass and its our job to save it. Be well and be average.

Deborah, my name is Lori. I once felt just as you did. I have over 8 years of sobriety now and it was NOT easy to get help. Before I go on, how are you doing today? What's happening with your drinking? Here to help!

Keep trying don't give up.I gave up about 12 or more time and then the day came. This was Aug. 26th 1985. I was 44 then and have not drank since that day. If I could quit then you can. Please quit Deborah.
