With all my heart, as long as there is Runing Man, I really wish for Suk Jin hyung to win daesang award. Its not because he stayed in the business for a long time but for his vitality and the ability to cope up with the challenges. Be it as it may that others don't find him funny but there others like me finds him funny, his humor is based on an old man jokes. Still, congratulations Jae Suk hyung I'm pretty sure Suk Jin is proud of you.

While it's valid to feel for Sukjin here (I also do), and whether you agree with the results or not, at the end of the day, award shows are only relevant when they're on. Besides, I think the validation of the people all year long should outweigh the validation of a company for one night ❤️
Ji Seok Jin is the same age as my father. Watching him work at Running Man for 12 years, it's really unfair if he doesn't get an award. I know Yoo Jae Suk is the most influential member, but when it comes to hard work, I think all the members feel the same way. And Ji Seok Jin, as the oldest member, deserves to be rewarded like Yoo Jae Suk.

Amongst the younger members of RM, he has always pushed himself in both physical activities and games. After Kwangsoo left, he stepped up as the oldest hyung and in the past few years, he has made me laugh like crazy over his antics. I really wanted him to win the daesang. I feel like he's in his peak now. He really deserves it. However, once again, congratulations to Jaesuk for winning that award! no body knows what's behind the scenes. and unfortnately it's rather obvious that YJS input is just much higher than JSJ. It's well known and seen throughout 12 years of RM. JSJ is making progress in the catch-up game though. Just not enough, yet.

That, coupled with his great personality and generosity towards others, means he is just that much more deserving. Suk Jin still drops the occasional clanger of a comment but honestly he is good but YJS is even better.

My 2 cents is that SBS ruined it for JSJ last year 2021. He shined the brightest last year and should have won the 2021 Daesang. However, this is 2022 Daesang and YJS shined in RM this year in 2022 and deserves the 2022 Daesang. Let's hope JSJ does his best in 2023 and we can only hope he gets rewarded for it.

I remember when kim jong min gets his kbs daesang, people were saying he will surely gets it that year and it does. SBS is just cruel, just because JSJ is not as popular as KJK and YJS doesnt mean he didnt deserve the award. That guy is reaching his 60s and he still manage to play parts in an extreme variety show for more than 10 years. Even the member especially YJS was hoping JSJ won the award. A character that always gets teased despite being the oldest senior in variety world is really admirable. JSJ already recieve recognition from the people but the industry will always make undermine him.
I agree with you that JSJ deserves the award also. However, it is not because of the popular that YJS or KJK got more chance to get the award. JSJ is a traditional Korean while YJS or even KJK has the open mind. The way YJS treats other coworkers even they are popular, or they are just new on the industry, or they are seniors, or they are just young people are equally with nice and welcome. JSJ has worked hard later but he didnot learn this point from YJS. Then when they vote for the award, he could not get many votes, especially from the young celebrities which JSJ doesn't know them for he just sees them as his juniors.

I'm really glad that Jae Suk won the award. But I wish Suk Jin would've won. He did a very good job at his age, he tolerated everything that the members teased him with. I'm pretty sure Suk Jin is one of the top reasons why Running Man is still popular even after Kwang Soo left. SBS, he is not sure how long he can run in the future. Even if you can't give him an award, don't fool him or give hope like he is getting an award. Show some respect!
It's not a question of who deserves the award. The reason a lot of people were pissed is because of the MC's insensitive remarks (like asking YJS to pass JSJ the trophy to hold for a bit???? like seriously???) and the way the MCs kept leading JSJ on by repeatedly telling him to "calm down"/"why are you nervous?" throughout the show. But the crowning touch? The fact that this "joke" was also played out in a similar, albeit slightly less cruel, manner last year. Ji Sukjin does not deserve this treatment and Yoo Jaesuk did not deserve having to feel bad for winning. (Anyways, congrats to Jaesuk!) But after the Kang Ho Dong casting fiasco a few years back, the only reason I can think of SBS doing this to JSJ is because they honestly don't think much of the cast of their longest running variety....
Not that I think sukjin deserves it more over jaesuk. I just want sbs to recognise sukjin's effort and contributions to the show. And unfortunately, at his level, I feel the only award to do that is the daesang. He's won everything else.

For sure all the members do work hard ...but suk jin is the oldest but u can't feel it ...he accepts the jokes and he gets along with the members even the guest that are sometimes too young but he make it really smooth thqt u can't feel the age gap ... honestly I think yjs really deserves this award. Jsj still doesn't live up to his true qualifications even though he always tries. And we can't blame yjs for this, because yjs always does his best and works hard in every episode of RM, since RM is still on air the longest and many people are still interested in this show including me. If Jsj gets this award because of sympathy, I think it's a shame. The only thing that makes me feel sorry for JSJ is the atmosphere and circumstances around him that seem to give him hope. That made him a little embarrassed when he didn't win the award. But I know he is happy for yjs. I still support all RM members and hope that everyone gets the award they deserve as a result of their efforts. I hope RM will stay for a long time. @Minni Maybe Suk Jin needs to appear at a new show and push a Daesang with his new show. In Running Man, he cannot match Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook popularity. I hope he can win a Daesang but I don't think with Running Man.

But I think Kim Jong Kook also won Daesang because he was involved with 2 programs under SBS. if ji suk jin participates in other programs under sbs too, maybe he can win awards. but if he depends only on RM, maybe he has to compete with the quality of yoo jae suk and kim jong kook, considering that they are both recipients of the daesang award before. and clearly here I only said 'if' he received the award on the basis of sympathy. read the sentence again. why am I saying that because the award he received before was an employee award, if I'm not mistaken, it has already invited controversy, so if he accepts it on this issue it is not appropriate. I can't deny that JSJ has been making more of an effort on RM for the past few years but I feel like the other nominees do more to actually create funny content in their shows. JSJ always seems to be a participant in a situation created by someone else. At this point, I think a lot of people want JSJ to win just because he's been in the business for a long time and hasn't won one yet. I'm really happy for the Running Man team despite many issues and viewers that were complaining they still stood tall and running the show until now. I am actually a variety show person than a kdrama one because when I was struggling during my early college days I really had so many downs than ups that at some point it became a depression and honestly, those 2 days that were lowest days of my life back then I just watched Running Man, I literally binge watch the early episodes and continued to the recent ones and thankfully I did not think anything while watching it that time and I just laughed while watching and I think somehow it saved me. Personally, Running Man would still be the top variety show for me. For the ones saying that RM is not fun anymore, it is still actually is. They just got old that's why they could not run the same they did before. I hope viewers that dropped the show after Kang Gary left would try to watch RM again, I would recommend the Global Project episode to you guys! They traveled overseas during those episodes.

Seok Jin should've won it. It's been long overdue. He deserved it last year to be honest and without bias. Imagine being in the entertainment industry for 30+ years, already nearing his 60s, and still one of the wittiest and funniest comedian. Add the skills in singing and impact to the industry as a whole, it's obvious he deserved a grand prize. In any case, SK and international fans know and acknowledge him as a Daesang winner already, even not formal. The appreciation of fans and fellow celebrities is much more important than the appreciation of a company.

It's true that he did some singing, but if you were to ask in 2022 running man who shines the most, if you're not a diehard fan, you would still say YJS. But JSJ, TJH not getting it is a huge shame I do agree, this year was the greatest chance for them to win it.
JSJ deserves it? Based on what? He doesn’t have much value without RM and YJS. Why do you think he only shows up in YJS shows? Even KJK, a singer, has shows that doesn’t involve RM or YJS. Completely disagree in that regard. It should be a merit based award as it should and number of years, lack of award, or previous winner are all irrelevant stats. For one, it's a 2022 reward, how does 30+ years get calculated into that? With that logic, there are many others in the same position as JSJ. Also without YJS, JSJ would not be as entertaining as he is in RM. Even then, i don't see him as top two in the show. Also in regards to being witty/funny, it's a matter of personal taste. He just seems step or two behind most of the time. I think YJS/KJK/YSC/haha being there to push the pace is what bring him into light
I do agree that JSJ deserves a daesang award but certainly not this time. It should've been last year for him. Honestly, I also thought JSJ will win this time because almost everyone seemed to think that he's going to win, even his colleagues were looking forward to it. I looked back and rewatched all 2022 Running Man episodes and finally understood fully why Yoo Jae Suk won. BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY OF IT AND HE DESERVES IT. In episode 598 (Captain Jee's Retirement Trip), episode 600 (With Viewers Race), and episode 609 (Running Man Vacation), Yoo Jae Suk carried all these episodes while the others just went along with him. He also did extremely well in episode 603 (The 1st Division Game in which he won in the lucky race despite being known as an unlucky member), episode 613 (The Running Chronicles in which he is the only one who caught Sechan at the end of the mafia game), and episode 614 (The Running Tag Of Tails in which he ran around the town with so much energy just to get betrayed at the end. Despite that, he won in the next episode). Just like someone said, this is not a lifetime achievement award. This is a year end award in which they only focus on a single year and not on the lifetime achievement of a person. It's okay to be disappointed about JSJ not winning the grand award but I hope you'll also see Yoo Jae Suk's efforts in the show. If you think that he won only because of his title "The Nation's MC", I suggest you to watch (if you haven't) or rewatch (if you already have but still don't understand the whole reason why) the 2022 episodes of Running Man as well. It might help you understand why things turned out to be different than what you think of. Anyway, congratulations to Yoo! Amongst the younger members of RM, he has always pushed himself in both physical activities and games. After Kwangsoo left, he stepped up as the oldest hyung and in the past few years, he has made me laugh like crazy over his antics. I really wanted him to win the daesang. I feel like he's in his peak now. He really deserves it. However, once again, congratulations to Jaesuk for winning that award! His performance has always been consistently great, and he's a reliable person we can always count on ~ 💖From his speech we can tell that he really treasures the RM cast and crew and also felt bad for JSJ, but he should also be proud of himself because winning the daesang was not easy! (Him winning the couple award with KJK made my day HAHA)

no body knows what's behind the scenes. and unfortnately it's rather obvious that YJS input is just much higher than JSJ. It's well known and seen throughout 12 years of RM. JSJ is making progress in the catch-up game though. Just not enough, yet.

That, coupled with his great personality and generosity towards others, means he is just that much more deserving. Suk Jin still drops the occasional clanger of a comment but honestly he is good but YJS is even better.

My 2 cents is that SBS ruined it for JSJ last year 2021. He shined the brightest last year and should have won the 2021 Daesang. However, this is 2022 Daesang and YJS shined in RM this year in 2022 and deserves the 2022 Daesang. Let's hope JSJ does his best in 2023 and we can only hope he gets rewarded for it.

I remember when kim jong min gets his kbs daesang, people were saying he will surely gets it that year and it does. SBS is just cruel, just because JSJ is not as popular as KJK and YJS doesnt mean he didnt deserve the award. That guy is reaching his 60s and he still manage to play parts in an extreme variety show for more than 10 years. Even the member especially YJS was hoping JSJ won the award. A character that always gets teased despite being the oldest senior in variety world is really admirable. JSJ already recieve recognition from the people but the industry will always make undermine him.
I agree with you that JSJ deserves the award also. However, it is not because of the popular that YJS or KJK got more chance to get the award. JSJ is a traditional Korean while YJS or even KJK has the open mind. The way YJS treats other coworkers even they are popular, or they are just new on the industry, or they are seniors, or they are just young people are equally with nice and welcome. JSJ has worked hard later but he didnot learn this point from YJS. Then when they vote for the award, he could not get many votes, especially from the young celebrities which JSJ doesn't know them for he just sees them as his juniors.

I'm really glad that Jae Suk won the award. But I wish Suk Jin would've won. He did a very good job at his age, he tolerated everything that the members teased him with. I'm pretty sure Suk Jin is one of the top reasons why Running Man is still popular even after Kwang Soo left. SBS, he is not sure how long he can run in the future. Even if you can't give him an award, don't fool him or give hope like he is getting an award. Show some respect!

It's not a question of who deserves the award. The reason a lot of people were pissed is because of the MC's insensitive remarks (like asking YJS to pass JSJ the trophy to hold for a bit???? like seriously???) and the way the MCs kept leading JSJ on by repeatedly telling him to "calm down"/"why are you nervous?" throughout the show. But the crowning touch? The fact that this "joke" was also played out in a similar, albeit slightly less cruel, manner last year. Ji Sukjin does not deserve this treatment and Yoo Jaesuk did not deserve having to feel bad for winning. (Anyways, congrats to Jaesuk!)
But after the Kang Ho Dong casting fiasco a few years back, the only reason I can think of SBS doing this to JSJ is because they honestly don't think much of the cast of their longest running variety....

honestly I think yjs really deserves this award. Jsj still doesn't live up to his true qualifications even though he always tries. And we can't blame yjs for this, because yjs always does his best and works hard in every episode of RM, since RM is still on air the longest and many people are still interested in this show including me. If Jsj gets this award because of sympathy, I think it's a shame. The only thing that makes me feel sorry for JSJ is the atmosphere and circumstances around him that seem to give him hope. That made him a little embarrassed when he didn't win the award. But I know he is happy for yjs. I still support all RM members and hope that everyone gets the award they deserve as a result of their efforts. I hope RM will stay for a long time. But I think Kim Jong Kook also won Daesang because he was involved with 2 programs under SBS. if ji suk jin participates in other programs under sbs too, maybe he can win awards. but if he depends only on RM, maybe he has to compete with the quality of yoo jae suk and kim jong kook, considering that they are both recipients of the daesang award before. and clearly here I only said 'if' he received the award on the basis of sympathy. read the sentence again. why am I saying that because the award he received before was an employee award, if I'm not mistaken, it has already invited controversy, so if he accepts it on this issue it is not appropriate. I can't deny that JSJ has been making more of an effort on RM for the past few years but I feel like the other nominees do more to actually create funny content in their shows. JSJ always seems to be a participant in a situation created by someone else. At this point, I think a lot of people want JSJ to win just because he's been in the business for a long time and hasn't won one yet. That sounds more like a lifetime achievement award to me rather than a daesang though. Congratulations to YJS who has never stopped working hard to create content for viewers.

I'm really happy for the Running Man team despite many issues and viewers that were complaining they still stood tall and running the show until now. I am actually a variety show person than a kdrama one because when I was struggling during my early college days I really had so many downs than ups that at some point it became a depression and honestly, those 2 days that were lowest days of my life back then I just watched Running Man, I literally binge watch the early episodes and continued to the recent ones and thankfully I did not think anything while watching it that time and I just laughed while watching and I think somehow it saved me. Personally, Running Man would still be the top variety show for me.
For the ones saying that RM is not fun anymore, it is still actually is. They just got old that's why they could not run the same they did before. I hope viewers that dropped the show after Kang Gary left would try to watch RM again, I would recommend the Global Project episode to you guys! They traveled overseas during those episodes.

Seok Jin should've won it. It's been long overdue. He deserved it last year to be honest and without bias. Imagine being in the entertainment industry for 30+ years, already nearing his 60s, and still one of the wittiest and funniest comedian. Add the skills in singing and impact to the industry as a whole, it's obvious he deserved a grand prize.
In any case, SK and international fans know and acknowledge him as a Daesang winner already, even not formal. The appreciation of fans and fellow celebrities is much more important than the appreciation of a company.

Completely disagree in that regard. It should be a merit based award as it should and number of years, lack of award, or previous winner are all irrelevant stats. For one, it's a 2022 reward, how does 30+ years get calculated into that? With that logic, there are many others in the same position as JSJ. Also without YJS, JSJ would not be as entertaining as he is in RM. Even then, i don't see him as top two in the show. Also in regards to being witty/funny, it's a matter of personal taste. He just seems step or two behind most of the time. I think YJS/KJK/YSC/haha being there to push the pace is what bring him into light

I do agree that JSJ deserves a daesang award but certainly not this time. It should've been last year for him. Honestly, I also thought JSJ will win this time because almost everyone seemed to think that he's going to win, even his colleagues were looking forward to it. I looked back and rewatched all 2022 Running Man episodes and finally understood fully why Yoo Jae Suk won. BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY OF IT AND HE DESERVES IT.
In episode 598 (Captain Jee's Retirement Trip), episode 600 (With Viewers Race), and episode 609 (Running Man Vacation), Yoo Jae Suk carried all these episodes while the others just went along with him.
He also did extremely well in episode 603 (The 1st Division Game in which he won in the lucky race despite being known as an unlucky member), episode 613 (The Running Chronicles in which he is the only one who caught Sechan at the end of the mafia game), and episode 614 (The Running Tag Of Tails in which he ran around the town with so much energy just to get betrayed at the end. Despite that, he won in the next episode).
Just like someone said, this is not a lifetime achievement award. This is a year end award in which they only focus on a single year and not on the lifetime achievement of a person. It's okay to be disappointed about JSJ not winning the grand award but I hope you'll also see Yoo Jae Suk's efforts in the show. If you think that he won only because of his title "The Nation's MC", I suggest you to watch (if you haven't) or rewatch (if you already have but still don't understand the whole reason why) the 2022 episodes of Running Man as well. It might help you understand why things turned out to be different than what you think of.
