Daesung is still himself and we love it. It was such a shame YG never allowed him to pursue variety shows because he literally used to boost the rating whenever he appeared. It was literally called the Big Bang effect. A show would peak every time they performed or even appeared on music shows, award shows or variety shows. It was so rare the nation would go on alert when they did appear.
Please do your research and don't make wrong conclusion. YG never stopped him from going to variety show. It was his decision after his taxi scandal. He was blamed for it, even tho it's not his fault, and people start boycott him and talk shit about him. Even bring up his parents and how they raised him. This is why Daesung left Family Outing, because of this incident. He ofc go to variety shows with Bigbang for promotion but he didn't became regular member. That scandal, plus other scandals surrounding BigBang members. Despite BigBang'a popularity, their image isn't great in SK. I just hope his new show won't get affected with GD's recent drug scandal. I'd hate to see Daesung being dragged because of it.

@@catherineta I was about to say, I know I backlogged a lot of Running Man, Infinite Challenge, and Happy Together when I first started binging variety shows back in 2016/17 but I swear Big Bang had been in more recent broadcasts on those shows way past 2010. I literally got into kpop and korean variety shows because of Big Bang's early guest appearance on Running Man when they came in from those helicopters.
Family Outing was the best show ever. I live in NYC. Me and my Mom would rewatch the episodes in order every weekend. I miss this show. Jae Suk is not just the Nation's MC. He is truly a person treasured all over the world. Daesung will always be my first bias.
