Great build, the wood effects are outstanding
Sorry I couldn't join you live on Fri night, (was out). Amazing build and beautiful work Jason. Wood effects are stunning. I really enjoyed watching this build. Well done & Congratulations! A fantastic-looking model! 10/10! 😄 Champagne time! 👏🏻👍🏻🍾

Congratulations on completing this amazing kit. It's been a pleasure watching this build - you should be very proud of this kit.
Wow, what an amazing result, so many areas of interest and details to appreciate, capturing the wood construction looks great. Puts the Marder iii in the shade. Marvellous result 👏👏👏

Glad you enjoyed it
WW really are a wonderful kit. I was lucky enough to snap a few kits from that place as well.
Amazing build of a superb kit. Way above my pay grade but that doesn’t stop me admiring the work of a master modeller!
Wow, thanks for the kind words
Exquisite build my friend! This turned out beautifully!
Thank you! Cheers!
Jason, I'm three months late to the party, so please pardon me. First of all, Congratulations mate. 👍👍👍 To complete your WNW journey and knowing that your first WNW's build was a Gotha---good lord, that's audacious! I am a bit surprised that you began your summation by stating that you thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the build. Perhaps that shouldn't surprise me since you are one of the most positive folks I've encountered in the modeling community--somewhat in contrast to ahem, yours truly. 😉 I am sure that your shipbuilding experience came in handy when you tackle the big boys in the WNW lineup.
Now that you've climbed the summit, and in my opinion the Gotha and Felixstowe kits are the ultimate in the WNW line, you're ready to easily knock off WNW Albatrosses and Fokkers to your heart's content--perhaps one or two every month! 😉
As you may know, I share your skepticism about the number folks who review and praise WNW models on YT and have actually built any of WNW kits--as opposed to opening boxes and gushing about the plastic and the instructions.
After 3 years of WNW kit acquisition, I am well aware of my own modeling limitations and I know I I will never shell out the big $$ to pick up any of the WNW twin engine planes. Some of that has to do with display and shelf space limitations as I'm not inclined to shell out even bigger $ for larger cabinets.
So my goal is to build the WNW Bristol Fighter in 2025....but there are a few WNW kits in the queue before I tackle the Brisfit. And speaking of that, it's almost 7 am thanks to the time change and I'd best get back to another shift at the workbench on my WNW SE5a. All the best and thanks for successfully tackling the Gotha project and presenting it to us!
Brilliant work!
thanks for the kind words
Wish they woildcre-release these kiys!!!
WOW
A great kit! Your first WW1 airplane?!, my compliments to you sir! My question is where will you display it? Will you build another WNW kit?
It's in our bedroom. I have another 2 WnW kits I will build on the channel in the future
Would you say the wings are a rigid construction? They’re so long and thin. I wonder if they start to hang after some time
Yep they are solid plastic very steady and because I rigged with fishing line that ads rigidity also
