I'm not one to comment. But i feel like i could share my opinion and experience so i guess i gotta warn everyone about this long ass comment(?) My opinion on squidbagging is that it's pointless. Sure, it's hilarious to taunt your friends and have them taunt you. It's amazing to squid-party and have a blast. I personally don't get upset and tend to not have a snapping point. So squidbaggers don't really affect me. Sure, they can be annoying but why would anyone bother with them when the provocation is so obvious ? So that's my opinion on the matter For my experience however. I've had many moment when i was squidbagged and actually found it hilarious. One time during tower control i killed someone who had placed a mine on the tower. So when i got on the tower-- SURPRISE, i died and the person was respawning. They took a moment and squidbagged me before i respawned and i found the moment pretty funny and gosh did i deserve that for rushing in ahah. Another occasion that made me laugh was when i killed an enemy that also killed me. Leaving both our deathcam in front of each-other. And a i booyah'd at a teammate that have seen everything and was close and they booyah'd back only to squidbag me and the other player. I have no idea why and i laughed probably harder then i should Now, these are exemple of squidbagging that i find hilarious and i'm sure others would find humoristic. But i also got squidbagged out of spite and as taunt. In a lobby, i once was against a bamboozler that keep destroying me the first match. They didn't squid-bag me at all at first. But as soon as i started playing seriously and they kept dying from my hand, they started to track me down and squidbag me vigorously out of spite. They eventually left the lobby after i started understanding their way of playign and they couldn't kill me anymore. When i first started playing, i would often get squidbagged as well and it wasn't rare for lower levels then me to squidbag me... But i don't see that happen often so that might be why it doesn't affect me that much So that's my experience with squidbaggers-- Hope it wasn't too boring lmao

i think squidbagging distracts the person squidbagging more than the person who got killed because the squidbagger is standing there spamming ZL for some reason when they should be fighting but the person who they killed is already dead that person doesnt just give up after they respawn
I honestly didn't know this was a thing. When I see people squid bagging, I always just thought "Oh look! They're having a dance party!" And that's what I always thought I was doing. Only I did it everywhere nonstop searching for other dancers. XD

But if it's a random person who doesn't know me and they start squidbagging, I'm gonna be a bit upset because they are doing it only to get salty But that's kinda the point. You forgot to talk about the seabagger that you splat once or twice while turfing or whatever and then they ruthlessly come after you, seabagging when they splat you. We call them the Salty seabagger.

I squidbag snipers with extreme prejudice. they are upsessed with kills and are afraid to die that's why they pick snipers. I'm good. and when I play any sniper they get squidbagged repeatedly. snipers often quit when the team is losing as well. or if your loseing that won't try to push you ink forward they'll just sit back try not to die and get kills(mostly they turn chicken shit and will camp even though there being annialated). the people who play them are mostly whiny cowards

Pro tip: Squidbag only when the end of the match is only few seconds away (and possibly with your team winning), so you don't risk to being squid bagged back.
As a squidbagger I only do it for the following reasons: - getting sick team wipes - getting a double or triple with one sub weapon - during the beginning of the match when nothing is happening - squidbagging a squidbagger to fire us up - outplaying another squid - fuck tri-sloshers
Squidbagging really isn't that bad. As a matter of fact, as stated in the video, it's a tactic. A tactic to make the other team focus more on killing you out of salt than focusing on objective. I remember doing it to an entire team once and they got so salty, they stayed in their base. Like personally I hate getting squidbagged but I sort of see it as a challenge for next round to see how many times I can do it to the person before they get salty and either: quit out or just squid party. More often than not, they rage quit.
All these kids in my class are like 'oh, only little kids get affected by taunts' So they come to my house and play splatoon and get killed. And then comes the squidbag... I don’t do it because of where squidbagging originated but I don’t get salty if someone does it to me. Sometimes I laugh depending on the situation, especially if it’s because of a boneheaded move I made.
At this point, my mentality is "Have fun wasting your time from the objective, you're probably going to camp out, and I know the good spots." With things such as echolocater, point sensor, autobomb, sting ray, and tenta missiles, it can easily destroy people who try to chain kill one person. But with the realization of the report system, I'm avoiding it, and reporting players who do it avidly, because if I can't do it, neither should they.
Most of the time I don't squidbag, I just usually twirl with the left stick on the gamepad. I only squidbag others if they squidbag me when they splatted me a few times before.

In Splatoon 2, I've squidbagged once. It was somebody that I looked over after I got killed, and they squidbagged me. Provided, I didn't seek them out (I saw them once afterwards and ignored them in favor of the actual objective), but when I did kill them, I squidbagged them simply because there was like 5 seconds on the clock and going for the objective would've been pointless. tl;dr Time you spend squidbagging is time you could be spending being a good teammate and going after the objective.

I always thought of squidbagging as a goofy explosion of adrenaline that the person who got you just got and they couldn't help but dance. Is it annoying and a little disrespectful? yeah. Does it get to me? Not really. I dont get it much because I'm fairly hard to hit with all my jumping around and diving around boxes and such, and I don't really do it myself unless I like, snipe someone midair across the map or something ridiculous like that. Also, the bloop bloop bloop noise makes me giggle for some reason..
Funnily enough, squidbagging is like, the only thing that doesn't bother me in Splatoon. Everything gets me salty. Losing streaks, glitchy kills, lag, but squidbagging reminds me that they're all just people. Just other people playing the same game to have some fun.
Whenever someone sb's me, my thoughts drift away from the game and objective and towards feeling grateful that they're wasting time as my teammates are capturing objective, but after watching this, I'm going to just focus on the game and my plan for when I respawn.

The only thing I don't like about it is when someone in ranked putting killing and taunting the team over the objective and getting killed while squid-bagging. for me, squidbagging is 100% acceptable when you splat someone who's been splatting you over and over, when you splat someone in a way that was super easy to avoid, or when you;re with friends and it's done for fun. BUT. if you're a scoped e-liter who never misses a shot and you squidbag, you're just a scumlord. but i don't really squidbag as a taunt. I spin, wave, bobblehead, walk over and stare, fountain....

I don't get super mad when people squidbag, but I don't think people should.
1) it's rude
2) it's cheap tactic if you think you could use it to distract others
3) it wastes time and will upset teammates
Aren't you annoyed when people are afk because it's basically the same. It's a huge time waster and it can only be used acceptably in private battles with friends or family.
Also 4) people can report you for it if it annoys them enough.
I rewatched a match a few days ago, turned out the taunter kept Squid bagging throughout the whole match.
Squid bagged to taunt me for like a whole minute as I tried to splat them. We were winning, so I wasn’t concerned about it being a distraction.
I got my revenge later though, screw them for taking the high ground and bagging aggressively. Like get down here and face me, coward!

It reminds me of a lizard called a Bearded Dragon. Their "taunt" is bobbing their head up and down repedivly. It's a show of dominance. It's showing another lizard that their the boss of their territory.
So you shouldn't squidbag players weaker than you but people that you repeatedly splat? Where's the logic in that? Focus on the game instead and helping your team win instead of wasting time taunting players. I don't know how many games have been lost because squidbaggers need to taunt only to get splatted or failing to help out team mates. Everyone loses when squidbaggers are around

No! This is horrible! I think splatoon is a great game, filled with potential and creativity, the splat-community are awesome! But seeing someone make fun of me when you just want to have fun is something that ruins the moment. It may not ruin your day, but it's like a reminder that some people are asses, even when you are trying tp escape reality and playing a colorful, amusing but challenging game.
In conclusion, you can squidbag your friends for laughs, but please do not in competitive, think about how these targeted players must feel after that!
On that note, I never squidbag, except for when someone squidbagged me first. Even when I get excellent kills, or chain kills, I just stand still, maybe do a spin if these a goofy kills, but I don't make fun of other players for playing their best or for fun, so that they don't do it to me afterwards, in a salty way

I squidbag snipers with extreme prejudice. they are upsessed with kills and are afraid to die that's why they pick snipers. I'm good. and when I play any sniper they get squidbagged repeatedly. snipers often quit when the team is losing as well. or if your loseing that won't try to push you ink forward they'll just sit back try not to die and get kills(mostly they turn chicken shit and will camp even though there being annialated). the people who play them are mostly whiny cowards

I squidbag in Salmon Run after saying “Booyah!” In the beginning for luck, and most of the time they “Booyah!” back and I feel happy
Pro tip: Squidbag only when the end of the match is only few seconds away (and possibly with your team winning), so you don't risk to being squid bagged back.
As a squidbagger I only do it for the following reasons:
- getting sick team wipes
- getting a double or triple with one sub weapon
- during the beginning of the match when nothing is happening
- squidbagging a squidbagger to fire us up
- outplaying another squid
- fuck tri-sloshers
Squidbagging really isn't that bad. As a matter of fact, as stated in the video, it's a tactic. A tactic to make the other team focus more on killing you out of salt than focusing on objective. I remember doing it to an entire team once and they got so salty, they stayed in their base. Like personally I hate getting squidbagged but I sort of see it as a challenge for next round to see how many times I can do it to the person before they get salty and either: quit out or just squid party. More often than not, they rage quit.
All these kids in my class are like 'oh, only little kids get affected by taunts'
So they come to my house and play splatoon and get killed. And then comes the squidbag...

I stopped squidbagging in Splatoon 1 after I got my hands on the Splash-O-Matic to complete my Inkling’s (slightly badass) public persona.
When I was new people squidbagged me all the time and I had no idea what it meant
I only seabag when:
-Someone falls into water/off the stage
-When I stop a knockout push on Rainmaker/Tower Control when the match is a 3v4
-When I feel like trolling (seabagging behind rollers is too fun)
-If someone seabags me (doesn't matter if they're a friend or not)
-When I respawn while salty
I seabag in my head (I sit and charge ink but in my mind I'm seabagging) when I get a clutch kill, or when a try-hard fails to kill me.

I don’t do it because of where squidbagging originated but I don’t get salty if someone does it to me. Sometimes I laugh depending on the situation, especially if it’s because of a boneheaded move I made.
At this point, my mentality is "Have fun wasting your time from the objective, you're probably going to camp out, and I know the good spots."
With things such as echolocater, point sensor, autobomb, sting ray, and tenta missiles, it can easily destroy people who try to chain kill one person.
But with the realization of the report system, I'm avoiding it, and reporting players who do it avidly, because if I can't do it, neither should they.

•That person had chased me for a while and then I finally killed them
•That person had squidbagged me before
•That person has a username that I recognise, eg one of you people in these comments. Normally in this case I would mean it as a friendly gesture, unless you're someone who I've had an argument with.
I won't normally squidbag if I get a perfectly ordinary kill, eg... just simply shooting someone down with my kensa splat dualies.
In Splatoon 2, I've squidbagged once. It was somebody that I looked over after I got killed, and they squidbagged me. Provided, I didn't seek them out (I saw them once afterwards and ignored them in favor of the actual objective), but when I did kill them, I squidbagged them simply because there was like 5 seconds on the clock and going for the objective would've been pointless.
tl;dr Time you spend squidbagging is time you could be spending being a good teammate and going after the objective.

I always thought of squidbagging as a goofy explosion of adrenaline that the person who got you just got and they couldn't help but dance. Is it annoying and a little disrespectful? yeah. Does it get to me? Not really. I dont get it much because I'm fairly hard to hit with all my jumping around and diving around boxes and such, and I don't really do it myself unless I like, snipe someone midair across the map or something ridiculous like that. Also, the bloop bloop bloop noise makes me giggle for some reason..
I used to squid bag only for parties, but now since it's the end game, I won't party much.
I have the haunt ability, but I only use it to hunt down players who squidbagged when they killed me. And when I kill them, I squidbag back.
Funnily enough, squidbagging is like, the only thing that doesn't bother me in Splatoon. Everything gets me salty. Losing streaks, glitchy kills, lag, but squidbagging reminds me that they're all just people. Just other people playing the same game to have some fun.
Whenever someone sb's me, my thoughts drift away from the game and objective and towards feeling grateful that they're wasting time as my teammates are capturing objective, but after watching this, I'm going to just focus on the game and my plan for when I respawn.

The only thing I don't like about it is when someone in ranked putting killing and taunting the team over the objective and getting killed while squid-bagging.

for me, squidbagging is 100% acceptable when you splat someone who's been splatting you over and over, when you splat someone in a way that was super easy to avoid, or when you;re with friends and it's done for fun. BUT. if you're a scoped e-liter who never misses a shot and you squidbag, you're just a scumlord.
