      @@sanaswift3154do you know what a fraternity is? In college and university boys and girls form 'clubs' that will organize stuff for each other. Generally you want to be in a fraternity or a sorority because it's super fun and has many great benefits, but it's not 'free'. You have to contribute and there are rituals and initiations, thus Emily had to memorize all of the Rules and code of ethics of her sorority.

    Watching the whole process would be interesting for those already interested. The reason this was such a successful stream for Emily is because it was unique content for her, she'll do something completely different next stream. Also she's a bit of a clown so she's entertaining to watch even if the content is boring. Also she recognized that watching her memorize stuff for 12 hours might be boring so she turned on media-share.

  • @justadudepracticing
    @justadudepracticing 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +52

    That's nuts. My first and only memory feat was memorizing 50 numbers in front of an audience (major system + memory palace). I'd only practiced with 20-digit numbers because I had one small "palace" ready and didn't want to risk cluttering it with practice images prior to the show. Happy to say it went well and I've always felt awesome about it. Until now. I can't believe she learned and applied a system to 1000+ numbers in one go, live. Respect.

    Something that makes content like this interesting for sure is the process. But I am pretty sure an integral part is to see the struggle because it makes it more relatable.
    From watching a lot of learning content I'd like to add failure and learning from failure.
    Some of the best learning content I have seen has been food related that ends in a huge failure. Sometimes the creator even gives up but with a reason.

    • @NelsonDellis

      That’s a great point. So I could definitely do something like this then, it would just have to be a much more crazier level of a challenge given my abilities. Hey Nelson, I noticed that Emily uses very elaborate and specific actions and objects in her PAO system, like fighting a pirate or wearing round glasses. In your book, however, you use simpler actions and objects, like sword fighting or a sword, which leaves more room for imagination. Which approach do you think is better? Should we use elaborate actions and objects, or is it better to keep them simple and let our imagination fill in the details?

    this is the first video of yours I've seen, I didn't even know this type of youtube content existed and as someone who knows hardly anything about memory artistry, it was very interesting to me to watch your reaction! I'm really annoyed right now that I have almost full visual aphantasia which is why mind palaces have never worked for me, but I'm kind of intrigued now to try and see how far I can get with the digits of pi anyway :D
    I have just one remark - maybe you could consider adjusting the volume with which you upload your videos. I had to really turn up the volume on this video and whenever it was interrupted by an ad, it was really jarring and it kind of hurt my ears. Might be a me problem, who knows, just wanted to tell you.
    Also I think people could really be interested in seeing you not only recite things but the learning process as well. This might differ depending on the audience, but a story arc can often really help to make a video more captivating :)
