IIRC during the early part of the 1910 during a period of nationalism, Mexico deported most of the Chinese descent persons who were not citizens of Mexico from Mexico, after that the Chinese Mexican community has been very small.
It's the other way around. Most of those Chinese were originally American immigrants that had to leave due to the Exclusion Act. Later Mexico seeked to expel them as well, but some survived by hiding in underground tunnels. Mexicali still has some of those tunnels.

Chinese immigration to Mexico began during the colonial era and has continued to the present day. However, the largest number of migrants to Mexico have arrived during two waves: the first spanning from the 1880s to the 1940s and another, reinvigorated wave of migrants arriving since the early 21st century.
They've always been coming. But now they're coming in from the south cuz the latest round of anti-China policy in the US makes it more difficult for them to fly in directly. They're gonna get stopped and sent home at the airports. It's comparatively easier now to follow the Mexicans and get in through the 'established routes' down South.
Many of them look so clean after a trek through the jungles. I know how I would look after 10 minutes. We waited over 10 yrs to come in legally as refugees. I understand but is this right? Do they take spots from people waiting legally.
Why would they have allegiance to overseas if they can legally emigrate, assimilate and get living wage jobs? (provided they didn't start families in their previous countries) If there's no jobs, then they have to find a way to make a living, (start small biz, selling cooked food maybe?) Those reliant on welfare and don't want to contribute, will leave if countries cut the long term welfare.

So many chose to come to the US under this false expectations. When I tried to educate them the real side of US, many would say like “so why are so many still going to the US and not coming back?” or “Why don’t you come back to China then?” (I am from Taiwan, LOL). Too many people believing everything in those social media influencer without critical thinking.
Hmmm...interesting. I had no idea this was happening. 😳 People have to come across legally. My parents were immigrants. They did it the legal & proper way. Don't try to cheat your way through. That's my opinion. 👍🇨🇦
Same here. But unfortunately immigration rules are not fare and favors certain groups. In war , Ukrainians were welcomed in with no questions asked. Over 200,000 came to Canada. In Gaza , only 1000 is allowed in but they face a mountain of red tape. But that is the system.
"Legal" has only gotten harder to achieve over time regardless of administration, especially for young college grads and other professionals whom we should be trying the hardest to retain. My own parents would no longer be able to immigrate under the current rules -- they're now retired from the American military and medical fields.
That's not a concept unique to America, nearly all of the "New World" (Western Hemisphere) makes it easy to become a citizen through residency or birth. The US is on the more difficult end to legally migrate into, but US residency and ultimately citizenship is by far the highest in demand.
I don't care what race or intention these aspiring illegal aliens have. Breaking the law should be condemned regardless of the person's identity. Whether they are legitimately seeking asylum or not is besides the point. Going through the back door is a slap in the face to all those patiently waiting in the queue through legal channels.
If it’s illegal then DONT come. I thought we Chinese people even those who are descendants from Chinese people have more DIGNITY than this- wth- 🤦♀️ im abc
Why would any People from China go to US? Makes no sense. If they are rich they would migrate legally. If they are poor, could they afford the cost of travel and passport? Most important question I have. Are you guys able to differentiate the different people from China, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Indonesia, Philippines, Korea, Japan etc?? Guess you will not be able to tell them apart. So your narrative is completely wrong. The only Asians going to US are those that are "wanted" for various reasons e.g. drugs, gangs, human trafficking, scams or murder....the most unwanted types....most asian nations have the death penalty for drug trafficking n murder.
Wrong. I’ve been following news in China. There are people spreading falsehoods about US (probably by some human smuggling rings) that US has free healthcare, free education through college, free jobless benefits, and that the homeless on the streets in US major cities chose to live that way.
What happen if the Ukrainian come across the border like the Chinese, Latino, Haitian and others ? Will the U S media cover the story as well or just cover up ?
They’re only going to focus on Chinese ppl since the US is tryna go to war with China. You’re going to see a lot of demonizing of Chinese ppl in the near future.
The discussion you guys had about the morality of breaking the law and feeling empathy for the criminal was really reminiscent of the musical/book Les Miserables. In that musical, the protagonist, Jean Valjean, breaks the law by stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving family. And then had to serve 19 years in prison, doing hard labor. The moral question is: was Jean the criminal or was the society he lived in truly criminal? Is it wrong to break a law if the law is unjust and does the punishment fit the crime? Should we not have compassion for those that are poor. Perhaps this illegal border crossing issue is a Les Miserables moment we have here.
I'm all for it, I hope they come by the millions and have tons of kids. There are certain racial groups that have come illegally for decades, had kids, increased their population and thus political power. Chinese/Asians should do the same.
Largest of all being white Americans, whose original entrants had zero identification, probably committed some property crime if not worse back home, and came largely as economic migrants; and as a reward for merely looking European and surviving the journey were given automatic permanent residency and the chance to register a new name out of thin air. IDs of any sort weren't even asked for until WW1.
I have to say i want them to come in legally. But the loopholes of coming in are shocking. America wants the most talented and brightest to help this country build. We need trump to fix the border.
The question is for what though. It's one thing to "have tea" over participating in a protest over unpaid work, another to be a phone scammer who got deported out of SE Asia. That's why each case has to go through the asylum vetting process, with rejects getting deported back to China... if China would let them back in.
Last year in 2023, they were already doing so. They call the process 走线 or walking the line. I hope you guys realised these were poorer or destitute Chinese who couldn’t afford to enter US the right way and just decided to enter the risky way. If you let them in easily, they are going to radically change your lifestyle in US. They are ultra competitive, comes into US in doves and your people will lose their jobs to these people. Their kids will best your kids in education and there’s no chance for anyone to get ahead unless you spend insane amount of time like they do to better your life.

You think these illegal immigrants with STEM experience are gonna be hired by JPL or Boeing? Nope, they’re “Chinese spies”according to every American. Get real. They’ll be at Panda Express and your local dumpy Chinese takeout.
Mexicans. To be clear, *Mexican men* don't get any asylum status. Unlike every single country on earth.
Some are even trying to come over to Canada after arriving in the US from Mexico.
Depends on where they have families.
thank you for sharing your video
Many of them look so clean after a trek through the jungles. I know how I would look after 10 minutes. We waited over 10 yrs to come in legally as refugees. I understand but is this right? Do they take spots from people waiting legally.
No they don't they must be deported
Why would they have allegiance to overseas if they can legally emigrate, assimilate and get living wage jobs? (provided they didn't start families in their previous countries) If there's no jobs, then they have to find a way to make a living, (start small biz, selling cooked food maybe?) Those reliant on welfare and don't want to contribute, will leave if countries cut the long term welfare.
I think the immigration quota for Chinese people had been limited even earlier than Obama admin for obvious reason: too many are coming. Indian, Mexican, and Phillipino has similar quota limit.
Some say their connections charge $30 to $50k per head 😂
the reason people are coming here illegally, is because they can.
I really love the point you made in 7:20
Google result for Chinese average monthly income is absolutely misleading which is $4214, as average ppl, they just having around $800 monthly actually.
You cannot compare incomes to determine living standards. You could survive on $10 a day in China but it will just buy you a meal in US.
@@tuppenceworth5485 well I think that's one of the motivations and reasons which ppl who fleet China, coz their incomes immediately double even triple as long as they got a job in a developed country. in a same time, that number misleading ppl which overestimate the consumption power of average Chinese
Purchasing power parity of one USD in China is 3.8 so yes that article you are referring to is technically right if you use PPP and not nominal USD to compare salaries and to compare relative costs of living.
@@Dandivine629 you comment is inaccurate, if it was true, india as well as africa countries has great purchasing power than China though, they're not consider as poor countries anymore though
@@Dandivine629 in addition ppl who live in developed countries would not think in that way like you too, at least majority of them not think in that way
Rough and tough to live in slum homeless America.
For the people that think this is a great idea, instead of focusing on the Americans that are struggling and the homeless problem. They should post their addresses all over social media so these "migrants" can have a place to live and have food to eat. Take care of them, since you care so much😂😂🥴😷🙄
Everyone is entering through mexico
Billion of people cannot be all same.
The border is not close so all welcome. If don’t want them cross the border, close it.
Are we encouraging ILLEGAL immigrants while law abiding legal migrants languish in immigration process for years?
Some people just come here on vacation and just didn’t leave with their families.
Not anymore, we don't give out visa like that anymore,
traveling visas require a lot of proof of wealth nowadays, so those people who cross the border have some money or savings to spend on the tickets and the service to century America but don;t have enough money to get a visa.
I have been following Chinese new (qq news) for years now. And you won’t believe the misconception about America there is in the social media. On the one hand they say EVERYONE carries a gun in the US violence everywhere, on the other hand they have people say US has free healthcare, free jobless benefits, free education through college, minimum wage starting at $18/hr everywhere in the US), the homeless on the streets chose to live this lifestyle.
@@doujinflipWell other countries make it hard to get citizenship in their countries as well so why should the U.S be "Easy" on everyone else?😏🤔
Na I want more Asians to come here and take over 🤭
Agree 100%
Chinese internet is totally controlled by the cop, so they are allowing this info
Ccp
Wrong. I’ve been following news in China. There are people spreading falsehoods about US (probably by some human smuggling rings) that US has free healthcare, free education through college, free jobless benefits, and that the homeless on the streets in US major cities chose to live that way.
Keep them all out.
Man this is literally bull&&&& stop coming here🤬
why are you here?
Dumbass take. Bet your parents were immigrants too. What a racist moron.
You all should invite some fobs to your talks and you will get more diverse conversations
I agree, secured the border first
Very true
China has one of the strictest borders. They don't let ppl in or out without knowing.
Look down, look down…
If Jean Valjean illegally travelled all the way to England from France to steal a loaf of bread for his family, then what?
I'm all for it, I hope they come by the millions and have tons of kids. There are certain racial groups that have come illegally for decades, had kids, increased their population and thus political power. Chinese/Asians should do the same.
Largest of all being white Americans, whose original entrants had zero identification, probably committed some property crime if not worse back home, and came largely as economic migrants; and as a reward for merely looking European and surviving the journey were given automatic permanent residency and the chance to register a new name out of thin air. IDs of any sort weren't even asked for until WW1.
Well do they have a valid asylum claim?
@@theaveragejoe5781 Who cares? The millions and millions of illegals that have come over the last 50 years have any valid claims?
@@theaveragejoe5781And Chinese don’t integrate well historically. Well, all those Chinese girls will be going for white guys 😂

Gordon Chang saying these guys
are Chinese military aged men. Who are going to shooting ranges after they get in the country
They're either coming or being sent. It's not clear yet.
More asian women and hard working young men in this country sounds good to me.
I have to say i want them to come in legally. But the loopholes of coming in are shocking. America wants the most talented and brightest to help this country build. We need trump to fix the border.
If the border is too big. We need mexcio to do more and the border should start in the south of Mexico because the border is a lot shorter.
I just can’t accept that my taxes goes to this undocumented immigrants, I hope they just enter legally so they can pay taxes themselves
This is old news. I saw one video in November. They interviewed them and translated. Several said they had legal issues, some had been in jail.

The question is for what though. It's one thing to "have tea" over participating in a protest over unpaid work, another to be a phone scammer who got deported out of SE Asia. That's why each case has to go through the asylum vetting process, with rejects getting deported back to China... if China would let them back in.

oh noes, Chinese migrants coming here actually doing work then eventually pay tax and start businesses that creates new jobs lol!
Chinese are not European, Japan, and South Korean…. USA…do not allowed Chinese to travel freely in USA.
Maybe we should also see the percentage of these illegal immigrants choose to go back
I believe everyone has the right to pursue happiness
Last year in 2023, they were already doing so. They call the process 走线 or walking the line. I hope you guys realised these were poorer or destitute Chinese who couldn’t afford to enter US the right way and just decided to enter the risky way. If you let them in easily, they are going to radically change your lifestyle in US. They are ultra competitive, comes into US in doves and your people will lose their jobs to these people. Their kids will best your kids in education and there’s no chance for anyone to get ahead unless you spend insane amount of time like they do to better your life.
@@ploplmao2655 they could have borrowed it from someone from their hometown to come into US and pay back in instalment once they found a job. There are so many who bet on their life savings as they may be jobless in China and feel the future is bleak there as it’s too competitive and people in China are willing to work long hours for little money now. These people try to seek their fortunes in US or other places in Europe illegally. This news has been circulating in the Chinese community since last year.
@@ploplmao2655They don’t need to pay upfront. I suspect many would have job lined up for them already, like illegal marijuana plantations across the west coast or phone scamming rings. I noticed sharp increases in spam messages (in Chinese) about 2 years ago. They would have to work for years for free to pay off the debt.
More Chinese is good for America. Cheaper $$ for Chinese food due to competition
37,000 Chinese is a far cry from the millions from Mexico, Central America and South America.
In either case, close the border.
Didn't your parents teach you manners? Your uncles and aunties are here. Welcome them! 😊
They see others doing it illegally so hey why do it the right way 😂
Might be some years but will definitely have better Chinese foods...
China needs to offload some. Getting too crowded there. They need more land 😮
I'll take some of the women.👍🇲🇽
Do you resent these people who comes in illegally vs. you or your ancestors who come in legally?
I don’t. My family emigrated to the US legally back in the 80’s. People come here for different reasons and circumstances. I only resent those that come and do illegal things.
Those are Lunarian migrants.
There's still so much to learn from the Latinos, also Asian ppl need to learn some pride from Latinos too
Too funny! Will chinese food get better??? 😂😂😂
Thanks for covering this boss 🫡🇺🇸🇲🇽
Because waiting to come into the USA is a joke. It takes years to get in legally.
Oh well...Americans go through hoops when they go to other countries and apply for citizenship as well. America is not a free for all....There has to be boundaries and laws to abide by. We already have enough issues with our own citizens and we don't need anyone else's. Everyone is trying to avoid taking care of Americans and homelessness.
So to sum it all up:
Huge datapoint set of ACTIONS (not worthless opinions) ….of varying paths ….believing USA is better for them than where they came from .
Yep. Checks out.
