I didn't see his advert but if he spent some time cleaning the hell out of it then taking lots of pics at a good location and writing a good advert he could have got way more than £8750 on Auto Trader. Doing a video as well Calvin got a bargain here

11:15 tbh, after looking at the search, even though 10k is 3 years ago 60k miles price, that is decent in comparison to what the search returned, especially considering the options

I had a spec like this and Tbf his asking price is decent, as without the pan roof these are worth £7/8k the pan roof justifies the other £1/2k. If this was put on Facebook someone would’ve snapped your arm off for this

As far as traders are calvin you are top tier, not into modern cars but would love too see something classic on the channel something 90s!
There is no way traders who have been in the game since the 90s would be paying good money for something with 6 former keepers, your profit is in the buying, to pay good money the car needs to be 1 owner it's entire life with loads of history and low mileage, usually secretary cars that can be driven a few miles a day to work and back only or what was known as dead man cars, a car owned by an elderly person who was probably in bad health and may have a 20 year old car with 30K on it and the family just let it go for next to nothing as they are clearing everything, you can pick up classic BMWs, Toyota's or Mercs usually like this.

@@tadassmolskas3014 I think it's more common than you know with younger traders, older traders wouldn't even bother going to look at a car with 6 previous owners, that guy would have struggled to sell that privately, think about it would you give 9 grand for a car with 6 previous owners and 90 k on clock, the first thing I would think is whether it's had a haircut between M.O.T's with one of the previous owners. 6 previous so 7 owners say it was 100K that's just over 14K mileage per owner! The seller done well here.
Was looking at these before I bought mine, all been to the moon and back and still commanding strong values, I'm glad I went with the scirocco tbh

Getting deja vu with the boot latch comment, Calvin check the boot locking setting's I thought my boot latch was broken for month's and had to only use the key until I found out that for some reason the boot latch was set to off on the setting's, turned it back on and voila boot latch works again!

..then one after that is clean but £11k...
they are all dreamers asking 9-10k for em when i had one had one they only 6/7k on that age n spec about 8 year ago, if you got 5/6k now for one youve done bloody well. IMO in this guys case its not standard, not full Audi SH, few bit wrong with it, hes a dreamer!!!! but then again i guess given most people finance or take loans on everything these days rather than old fashioned save up and pay cash which is what I've always done, they don't appreciate how much real money 10k actually is. its laughable when you think about it realistically.

@MarcBirks age doesnt matter for those types of cars. Its actually not expensive here in germany... Car prices are generally pretty high and germans cars dont loose value that quick, simply because germans love german cars, quite obvious. Its a normal price.
The 8Ps start at 15k realistically, the 8V for 20k, 8V Facelift from 25k (more like 30 though) and the 8Y from 35k (pretty rare).
The Golfs which those Audis are based off are usually just 1-2k cheaper.
Also, i think being able to export those cars into eastern countries helps keeping the value of them.

Textbook vid on doing all the checks before you buy lol. I fucked up a bit with a 2011 A5 for my gf forgot to ask about cambelt and spare key 🤦 but paid 7.5k for a clean example, awesome car in azura blue with pan roof. Think when i saw it, my heart took over and lost my head 😂

It's a heavy amount for these now I have an rs3 replica s3 8p by the way not sure if u mentioned 8v in the beggining but this is an 8p btw if you where thinking it's an 8v. But I payed 1600 for mine an it rips but has none of the extras you explained but no cat on it this and that I'm surprised all these are around 5 grand more now

6 former keepers! So his the 7th owner that's ridiculous. You can get cars from 80's-90's with half that amount of keepers which have usually been past through the family. That's had the life thrashed out of it by drivers who want to bang a nippy car around for a while.
Nar just because theres alot of owners dont mean its trashed, people probably buy them cars (S3) and find out there not a economic car to live with and daily then sell them on, all depends on how well its been maintained
I really don't understand why people want to purchase this type of car and expect high mpg 😂 it's a bloody s3 and is not designed to be economical.
