This. is. wonderful. I discovered this album in 87 when I stayed overnight near Krishnamurti's orange groves and retreat. It was a turning point for the better in my life.
.....For my tastes....this is the loveliest piece on the Gone To Earth instrumental side........which probably gets more air time here un the yurt than the vocal side......both are....BELOVED and UTTERLY ESSENTIAL......
This album is such a classic in my opinion. I recently listed it as one of my top albums of the 80's and most the people weren't familiar with this amazing record. I have this on vinyl and CD, but this CD lacks the 2nd disc of ambient music. Of course I'm a fan of Bill Nelson's guitar playing too.

genius ambience. The snow video reminds me of the last scenes of Truffaut's Fahrenheit 451 , lovely, eerie, melancholy warmth in an old coat in the soft snow at the end of the railroad tracks...

Was good. But Nelson a genius as is Sylvian. Followed them both. For years. Seen them both ,,, Sunburst Finish. Tin Drum. Both incredible albums ,,,but great as that track is ,,, as with lots of their amazing music. IALWAYS GET LEFT WITH ,,,,, loved it but wanted that bit more at some point ,,,,, got all their albums ,,, so a true fan. G
Those are open arms in "arterritory" & this is a suspended state of grace... Nelson & Sylvian are real stars...not of those pale stars on mtv... It reminds me a mid 80s Camel album... not because of the music but because i really like the name of this album "Stationary Traveller" ... it explains well this Sylvian/Nelson song...

i am so sorry for your loss. i lost my mother in 2012 & i still can't get out of my funk.
Mothers are so special, eternal and absolute love. But I know others have suffered and I wish them peace and resolution in some way.

The CD is only missing a few of the instrumentals, and it sounds so good that it's not such a big deal anyway

What seems to have been an almost natural inheritor of the overwhelming emotion of this track is Sylvian+Fripp “Bringing Down the Light”
