@@Heyu7her3I only went to therapy for as long as my insurance and mom could pay for it after being S/A during a robbery when I was 18. My mom didn’t really have money so my psychologist wrote a letter to my insurance and they agreed to pay for a certain amount, then my mom could only pay for a certain amount as well. 6 months is better than no months. This is great advice for those who have $5000. For some 6 months is a blessing, there’s really no such thing as enough therapy or not enough therapy. Any therapy at all is a luxury atp with the way the economy is set up.
one of my friends went to what she thought was a buddhist retreat after her sister passed away and it turned out to be something called One Touch, and it was under investigation by the FBI at the time for sex trafficking (about three weeks ago) and she said helicopters kept passing overhead, but the grounds were beautiful and they were nice to her and she was never subjected to the orgasmic mediation or 'stroking' that they practice (I told her to ask for the double knuckle spiritual detox). Apparently because they were being investigated they rebranded and organized some fake retreat stuff so that's how she ended up not knowing what it was.
Wow I just looked it up and it’s called OneTaste and was accused of many abuses and of being a pyramid scheme. I remember learning about this in 2016 and thinking it sounded interesting since I was interested in meditation and yoga. It didn’t sit right with me so I didn’t peruse it thankfully. This would be a good topic for Kaya’s World.
The org’s called OneTaste and it’s a reference to Buddhist scripture about enlightenment. Because the practices and the founder (I think her name’s Nicole Daedone) got under severe fire due to the awful way she was treating people, they rebranded to the Institute of OM and she alternates between Bali and Mendocino County, CA to hide from the feds. There’s a Netflix doc about it.

Why on earth do people go to these sorts of scams when there are really seriously solid properly trained people who will work with you and your family on your own - with long lasting and solid results. It's utterly crazy that people get conned into this sort of thing!
$120 x 42 weeks of therapy = $5040. Probably much more transformative than whatever the hell this insanity she is selling would be 😳. I’m guessing even a mediocre therapist would have a better success rate with clients
It's so cringeworthy when these overpriced courses are like "We know it's a lot, we're sorry it's so difficult, but you can manifest the money (by asking other people)..." If I could manifest $5000 US, I would... and then I wouldn't spend it on a guru course.
12:41 "everyone says my event is hard to explain, .and it is unfortunately" 12:54 "you will have expressed yourself in a way that you once would have only been able to imagine" Wait so which is it 🤣 why can't she explain it if she teaches how to express yourself lmaooooo
Also the still of her backing up to her boyfriend is triggering me to a rage blackout, is she seriously monetising trauma? - that’s too far, honestly trying to manifest abundance off other people’s mental and physical anguish is 🤮
I am graduating with a degree in psychology in a few months, and from my studies, there is something I noticed about their promotional that really seems off (aside from the obvious sexual innuendos). They seem to be promoting catharsis as a form of trauma healing, even though all the research that we have in the field of psychology actually shows that catharsis is a really bad and ineffective method of overcoming anger and distress. And that is not even getting into the sheer scam of it all.
Quantum Leaping? Do they have a time machine in the basement? In other words. "Here's why you should give me all of your money instead of seeking therapy!"
Holy shit. I met this girl through family friends when we were both teenagers and added her on Facebook. Over the next few years, she started posting more and more stuff like this despite being literally 15/16 at the time. It feels so weird to come across this video randomly and see that she’s doing the same shit 10ish years later. I personally find it quite hard to trust someone who was teaching some of the same philosophies as an actual minor with no experience. I truly hope that the people she works with feel like they’re being helped, but Jesus Christ man.
your outro song always gets me so hype for no reason hahaha i listen to your videos at work so im not fully paying attention sometimes and when the video ends and the music comes on i get all pumped hahaha
Being “woo woo” is a reference to having a spirituality that’s kinda off the beaten path like believing in the healing powers of crystals or believing that things in your life are affected by the phases of the moon or even believing in zodiac signs. It has nothing to do with mental illness, however this kind of stuff can and will take advantage of people who have a mental illness and other vulnerable populations.
Waaaaaaiit - there’s a thumbnail at the end of her promo video of Caleb Hammer, what looks like her and the words ‘Eternal Poverty’ 🤭 if you know, you know.
Genuine question to Keya or anyone else... Does her accent possibly make her seem more legit? I feel like in some settings, a foreign accent lays down as more trustworthy, especially when it's another native English speaker accent (in this case, Australian) - because they still have perfect command of the language but they sound "foreign", and therefore kind of mysterious or as if they know something that we don't. I ask this because as soon as she opened her mouth I, as an Australian, was like "Phhh get out of it you're from f***ing Coogee, don't tell me how to heal." and I realised that because she sounded like my literal neighbour, she didn't sound interesting/wise.
This a real thing in movies, where the person giving life advice or explaining how a curse or something works is always done by someone with a foreign accent. I'm not explaining it very well but it's a whole thing. If you watch movie review channels a lot of them bring it up!
Yep. That’s the 2nd influencer. I’ve heard mention to manifest the money in order to basically buy their course. But I think it’s just getting out of hand ! Who needs to pay $3000 or even $1000 for an online course. ???? What’s really messed up is people are willing to spend this kind of money on an online course or a retreat, yet maybe what they really need is to go to therapy to work out some inner demons and they won’t even spend money on better help a real therapist.
Oh my God, I’d rather put my head in the oven😂 that is so awful. It’s kind of funny! Not funny for the people spending the money though. I hope no one goes. That’s just ridiculous.
My unsolicited and unqualified advise is to take that $5000 and get therapy, once a week, for 6 months. Your insurance might even pay for it.
Or even a couple of therapists who deal with all of these things as specialisms ...!
Nah, trauma therapy takes longer than that, but $5K is a good estimate lol

@@rsh793 this is a wonderful idea!
This is very interesting. I can’t wait to hear more about it on a true crime podcast in 12 to 18 months.
"Please read all of the heartfelt testimonials" because it took a long time for me/my assistant to write them. 🙄
This girl used to be on tik tok giving advice or how to dress “elegant/classy” on a budget 😅 guess that didn’t do well and she moved on.. 😬
No way 😂
"Refreshments and cacao"? I ain't paying $5000 to drink lemonade and hot chocolate.
Always embarrassed by Australian grifters 🤦♀️
she doesn't even hide it well, she keeps slipping between some californian type voice and her normal accent, really throws you for a loop

anti-intellectualism... also distrust from psychiatric trauma
If someone asked me for "support," I would have to reevaluate my relationship with them if trying to talk them out of it doesn't work.

Nice work, Keya! My only ask is, can we get a "banging answer" soundbite for future livestreams? 😂
Of course!!

loool i love the humor in this. footage of them taking notes while she said there was not gonne be any taking of notes 😂
Keya, your commentary on Chalene’s super deep dive on all things Hollis would be deeply appreciated 🙏🏻
This is gold, straight up! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Seventeen minutes and forty-five seconds of pure hilarity! You made my day with this, Keya, thank you!
Great video. I consider myself a spiritual person, and these type of videos are very refreshing and necessary.
Miss ya Keya!
Omg, sending that video to your boss 😅 youll have an HR report after that one!
The “Paris Chic” coffee table book in the background is quietly screaming a lot of things she isn’t actually saying in the video 😂
Omg this video is hilarious! I love your commentary! Proud subscriber and you make me proud to be a member! 🫡
It’s a real big surprise that she hasn’t ever been disappointed by her previous retreats. 🙄🙄🙄

That crooked picture - I just cannot. Those basic girl prints.
Would you consider making a video about Mariya Nurislamova, the co-founder of Scentbird? It would be right up your alley.

can you do a video on gala darling? it's hard to keep up with her spiritual scams
I think if someone can't afford this, this is unethical advice. Trauma free but not debt free! This person is a vulture.
