@Joey Jojo no dude, he isn't scared with Mark. Just because Mark has more money doesn't mean he can intimidate other sharks because each of them has connection and knowlesge which Mark doesn't have. Shark Tank is less serious and less aggresive to match with US viewer's moral and taste. That's why Mark also iritated when Chris appears as guest show. He is also a billionaire although less rich than Mark but his connection in Sillicon Valley can't be understimated. In term of financial wisdom, Kevin is the smartest and realistic with business fact out of any other sharks.
Kevin’s money making intellect is on another planet. The way he pressured them into a royalty IN PERPETUITY is an insane idea and it worked. He would’ve made millions and millions had the deal gone through. He’s a very strong negotiator and very quick on his feet and smart. He sees a deal when no one else can. and he knows how to make money more than any of them I think
dude, when someone walks in that knows what theyre talking about, the dragons take them to the thunderdome. That was some high level negotiation done by kevin.
Yummy Dough was pulled from the market and has since been taken over by a German company with new branding and is only available in the EU marketplace.
honestly i don't think this is a safe product, first the kids get accustomed to the idea that they can eat their playdough's. let us if they have it on the side, secondly, imagine a kid playing with this on the floor and table and all around only to end up eating it, doesn't seem that clean to me
LOL, almost every time I hear someone play that game in German, they mess it up. You know why you don't study French? Because they've got friggin BOOKS on conjugating verbs. ufm Thanks for setting us OFF JFK!! RIP
Hasbro sued the company and won over the spelling name Play-Doh and the confusion it brang to this Play Dough. That's why it looks like this company is still alive, yet I don't see it in Kevin's portfolio.
🤔 I live in Germany and can honestly say that I have never seen this product...anywhere. I have 2 small children and they love baking and using modeling clay. Never seen this...
It's always been non-toxic, just not something that we should eat a large portion of. Frankly, I don't see the tie in with every kid eating clay and play doh and whatever else and licking the bowl clean when mom is whipping up some batter. It's interesting that on contemporary cake mixes, brownie cups all that stuff: DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER. That comes from a lawsuit and nothing else.
I hate it when the dragons get greedy and turn it around, investment is an investment it is never sure or you get a return, the entrepreneur was right and they try to turn it around disgusting especially mister not so wonderful, he disgust me selfish prick always
Hey can someone explain this to me? Kevin usually suggests royalties rather than ownership. Why? What is the advantage to him? Is it a good deal for the owners? He always adds, "in perpetuity", which worries me (for the owners, that is).
The advantage is he gets paid as soon as the company launches. Realized gains everytime merchandise/product is sold. It's way better for him because he can take a complete hands off approach with the company and still get paid. The consistency is also key. Company equity can vary in value over time drastically, whereas the price of the product will usually stay consistent. Royalty approach is the best way to go when it comes to companies that specialize in selling one particular product. After marketing/getting customers acquainted with the product is achieved, there really isn't much that Kevin has to do to get his money. It's usually not a good deal for the owners because it's more solidified than owning stake in a company. What I mean is, for example, the owners wanted to get rid of Kevin, they could try to buy his shares of the company back, or they can hope that Kevin sells his shares to another investor, thus having Kevin exit the company completely. This is not the case with a royalty in perpetuity. Kevin can keep on getting paid, and there really isn't much of anything the owners can do to get rid of him.
Ultimately the advantage is that if his initial work pays off he can then sit back and do nothing in perpetuity. Imagine that with several, or several dozen companies, the checks that just keep coming every single month. With 50%, he's trying to guarantee himself something out of an offer that really isn't that appealing on the hopes that it will SUDDENLY become appealing based on his work or a fluke or the other guy or whatever....... and has since proven that it wasn't an investment but with 50% as a shark, you're going to make SOMEthing happen. Play Doh was never going to allow this in the US. RandomDude's explanation was very good.
So you tell the kids… “you can eat the dough…” but then when it hits the floor or a tabletop you have to say…. Nono now you can’t eat it anymore…” so what they need is two products…. One for eating… and one for playing with…
Yummy Dough was pulled from the market and has since been taken over by a German company with new branding and is only available in the EU marketplace.
Is it just me or does the thought of rugrats playing with edible dough with their dirty nose picking hands, and dropping it on the floor - and then everyone eating it (or mom baking it into disease cookies) make you nauseous too? Im guessing its not in N America because it could single handedly start a plague. Seriously cringy.
"Lets all lick bowls together" Lol!
Or we can lick each others bowl and spend half a million
This deal failed to go through and was ultimately sold to a German company. The product currently sells but only in Europe.
Thanks for the update, I was curious!
Where did you get your info from?
@@goednieuwskrantje-nl Yeah
Oh really?! Too bad. I was quite excited about the business myself
Were you there?
That's what I am talking about: only Kevin can spice up a show!
"Why didn't I make a deal with my brother" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kevin is much more aggressive on this show than on Shark Tank
No, he looks the same, probably less aggressive than Shark Tank. Because in Shark Tank everyone are aggressive. 😅😅😅
@@liveyourdream1556 On this he is a lot more savage in what he says. So he's a lot better to watch on here and just in general this show is better lol
@Joey Jojo typical Mark simp

@Joey Jojo no dum. Just NBC is way more controlling
I love the way Canadian dragons negotiate. Very authentic. Smart dragons

The deal didn't go through?
"he knows how to make money more than any of them I think"
While I agree with you, why isn't he the wealthiest?
I think you have a crush on him 😂
Most of the deals don't go through as the publicity alerts others to make a better offer. Happens in the UK as well.

Calls Kevin “the master of dark and greed”
The background music is making me laugh xD
It's not bad but who thought it suited to what's happening on-screen... LOL
Euros!! THATS EUROS!!
When they play all day with it...You dont need to cook supper..
Why are they always surprised when there's ppl who are serious business ppl?? Maybe because they realize they can't bullshit them lol

I laughed at "lick bowls"
No way would I ever let a kid near this; unhealthy, unsanitary, and encourages bad table manners! Just gross!
🤔 I live in Germany and can honestly say that I have never seen this product...anywhere. I have 2 small children and they love baking and using modeling clay. Never seen this...
maybe they sell it only some specific stores where you don't go? I know you've lots of different food companies in Germany.
Kevin finally made a decent offer for a company
"I want a piece of the successful business...not just the business that you're here for."
And he says, "Don't be greedy" 🤦
I love this kevin
Dragon’s Den’s Kevin is whole different person from Shark Tank… dude is a menace, deliberating savage
We have eatable play dough in America. I feel like I've seen something exactly like this
It's always been non-toxic, just not something that we should eat a large portion of.
Frankly, I don't see the tie in with every kid eating clay and play doh and whatever else and licking the bowl clean when mom is whipping up some batter.

Why does that guy smile like a ventriloquist
I didn't understand the final deal... Someone could explain it please ?
10% of sales until 500k is back
After that it drops to 3.5% of sales forever
He gets visibility from the show and potentially marketing budget.
We’re family buddy haha
„ich bin aus“ as in „i am shot off“? respectfully sir, shots misfired.
This product is disgusting. Kids play with it on the floor and then eat it ?!

hi mark
Surely, if children eating modelling clay is a problem, the solution is to make it UNpalatable: as bitter-tasting and nasty as possible
I think this is a great idea and that was a horrible deal
this deal didn't happen. it's reality tv, people should realize this. Real negotiations start always after the show.
Television is all optics
Radio is all acoustics.
Dough with dough
Wow
Why is he yelling at them?
Why is Canada called North America .
the clay still exists but it's made with non-organic cheap ingredients and artificial chemicals you don't wanna feed your kids!
American kids play on computers not play with dough

Why encourage kids to eat playdoe or an edible doe that dirty hands and surfaces touch? Not smart!
Did a memer edit this? Hilarious zoomer style sounds effect placement.
Adawa? Ok that's a bit of a odd name, must be a German thing.
Must be. Or not.

That is what the 600 pages of lawsuit ultimately said. It's ridiculous and the sharks knew it.
That's what I was thinking as well.
Another episode where Arleen says much and does nothing
Hey Tim long time no see. Text me
Kevin is too arrogant and egoistic.
Kevin is about as irritating as piles.
