I bought a wide mouth box from raneys. No water. Just fyi. Maybe replace it. Nice looking truck. Diamler isn’t perfect but in my opinion Detroit is the best motor out there with the new DPF systems. Is the truck dry weight heavier than a Cascadia?
Tanks are freightliner, and who ordered mid fuel versus end. Long as stationary grill. In case you missed it your cab is freightliner. They don't make real Star anymore. Push to connect fittings. Why not carry some brass to replace them?
Lol the way you say bad design Westerner Star. I get the image of you rubbing their nose in it. I love the Westerner Stars out there but I'm stuck driving a Freightliner Columbian glider kit for my company. It's a good truck and keeps going but the seat and ride confront kills my back everyday.
@@joshmoss9815 they needed to figure that out before they started making the 49x, but cool, their starting to change it, good, but glad your able to get a 2nd truck, I just personally don’t have that desire to own more then 1 truck

Yes it is heavier, not sure by exactly how much, but I know I can’t haul as much weight as I could when I had my 2010 cascadia

You might be able to spin the tank some to lower the fuel cap
Yea I thought about that but I believe I would lose a little bit of fuel capacity if I did that
Be mindful of those hood mirror nuts. They break pretty easily.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the truck, but it does have a few design flaws in my opinion
Fuel cap placement sucks. After a year of fighting with the dealership they are replacing my tanks with a better fuel cap placement
