If you want something light try his band the big push cover i shot the sherif/road to zion/hiphop or check his cover for back on 74/massage in a bottle
That was utter perfection!! I was super impressed, you are one of extremely few to notice the fast forward towards the end!! It gets less painful to watch after the first time, because you get wrapped up in the artistry of it all. My favorite is in Violet's tale, how he plays the building like another instrument!! So incredible! Just FYI, I'm in the chronic illness camp of the Renegades. When my pain flares (more often than not) I don't comment much. But I'll still be watching!! 💜💜💜
This is actually one of my very favorite moments in the Tales. The first time I watched and saw it I remember thinking ‘uh oh’ and not being fooled by the beautiful guitar played right after it.
Great reaction man and just be yourself you dont have to worry the renegades are the most loving and uplifting community ever we are all f***ed up here ❤
Indeed. I concur. This level of poetry and storytelling is at the level Homer and of course the Bard himself Shakespeare. His words are so perfect, descriptive, horrifying all at the same time. It also shine ls a light on the darkness of generational violence and child abuse.
Need an antidote? - the one to lift you back up, is "Power". It's fun, very groovy, and has a positive message. (Yep, The Tale of..is a tough one - brilliant and as ever the truth, but hard going).
Light and happy... Back on 74/Message in a Bottle Retake. Losing It. What you Want. Love Music parts 1,2,3,4. Down on the Beat. Uninvited. Power. Bittersweet Symphony Retake.
“The meek shall inherit the earth” Another great reaction.😊 I think that the Big Ben Clock was actually broken the year Ren made this video. 🕰️ Watch a fun rap video called, “The Hunger”. By REN
As a 67 year old, I lived through quite a lot of musical era’s… Discovered Ren about 3 months ago, an artist who has moved me like no other! Welcome to the rollercoaster of a ride you are about to embark upon ☮️ ❤️ 🏴
I think one of Ren's messages to us is to be giving of grace and kindness whenever possible, so I love to see fellow Renegades being kind and welcoming to new reactors 😍 so wonderful being able to relive our first watch of our favourite Ren tracks through fresh eyes ❤
May i suggest: Back on 74/Message in a bottle (retake) for your next reaction. It’s just good times and a nice pallet clenser before you continue. (His band The Big Push also has a lot of fun songs).
I'm on the journey with you I love watching all the different reactions He did a live version of this song using a 360 camera in the street A whole different experience I hope you get onto the love music series, which should lift your mood Or "What you want" for a bit of fun Stay on the ren train and you won't be disappointed
At 58 years old I've only called two performers "Genius". The late Dr Tim Smith of Cardiacs, and Ren. Enjoy your continued journey of this amazing fella.
I'm so glad I saw your reaction. I've watched so many where the reactors are jamming along on the "things turn violent" and every time I internally scream "she's being beaten to death, this is not happy!!". And I get it, I really do, it's just refreshing to see someone who gets as upset by that part as I do.
I completely understand where you're coming from! It’s important to acknowledge the serious moments and not just brush them off. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Omg I’m like this when they’re grinning and bopping along to the likes of Chalk Outlines or even Hi Ren. I just stop watching now, I can’t deal with the lack of empathy
If you need a breather and a different Ren vibe, I suggest The Big Push doing "I shot the sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop" You will want the red suspenders version, that seems to be the one I've seen recommended most often (and I agree). The busking sessions with Sam Tompkins and Chinchilla are also great.
This whole reaction was perfect!! Your real, emotional investment into these stories, and ability to pick up on things so many reactors miss, makes me very excited to follow this journey down the rabbit hole!! 🐇🕳️ As many have mentioned, there are over 200 songs to dive into, so you have plenty to work with. I also agree that getting to know just Ren is the best way to start, before diving into the many outstanding collaborations. They are all more beautiful sides to this man. (Alien? Unicorn? Genious!) My suggestions for next palate cleansers: -Love Music part 1 or 2, - What You Want (Beastie Boys style fun) -Back on 74/Message in a Bottle-retake -Hold On -Power -Bittersweet Symphony- retake. There’s many more. Some (like The Hunger & Losing It) are very rap heavy, and you will appreciate even more when you see some of those other talents first. I was never into Hip Hop/ Rap before Ren, but his lyricism and crazy talent have definitely changed my appreciation completely! Will be anxiously waiting for WHATEVER you do next! ❤
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Will! I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the journey with me. So many incredible songs to explore-let’s dive in together!
Excellent reaction man 👍 RENegade !! Ren is an artist apart !! The best storyteller nowadays but yeah, Money Game trilogy soon for sure ! But if you want to listen to something lighter first, check Losing it and What you want 😉 You'll see that Ren can rap rap 😍 Thanks 😘
Violet died, Stevie went to prison, kids would have been split up and put into the care system..Jenny was silent like her mum, Skreech was violent like his father..they were born side by side on the same day,and died one street apart on the same day...
Not to mention that as Violet was abused by her father and had moved out into the welfare-provided flat, it was likely that Violet's father was also the father of the twins so was already pregnant when she met Stevie (read someone say that's why Stevie was calling her a sl*t and a liar).
Next: The Big Push Band w/ Ren as the lead vocals. Their mashup cover of Bob Marley’s, “I Shot The Sheriff”, Damian Marley’s, “Road To Zion”, DJ Luck/MC Neat’s, “Little Bit of Luck” & Dead Prez’s, “Hip Hop”. In this session Ren is wearing RED suspenders. This is classic busking on the streets of Brighton, UK!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Ren really brought that mashup to life, and those red suspenders definitely added to the vibe on the streets of Brighton!
Great reaction! The first time I saw this I was so devastated that it took me about 10 days to summon the courage to watch it again. I now consider it a true masterpiece and love watching great reactors like you be as devastated as I was. Keep diving into the Ren rabbit hole. There are many more surprise awaiting you.
Not just me then, that's nice to know - hi stranger :) I actually turned it off when Violet's Tale started and took me several weeks to watch the whole thing.
Incredible breakdown. Your the first I've ever seen to realize that the little shake he does at the beginning of Violets tale signaled "this is gonna be rough..." he was right.
You're doing great. You had my eyes stinging a few times. I really, really like your companionable approach to reacting. Edit to say, for the joy of Ren, I hope you do the red suspenders 'I Shot the Sheriff'. The two you mentioned are awesome, but not might. The red suspenders performance is absolute joy.
Fantastic reaction to this very dark tale. Im a survivor of domestic violence and he portrays it all too well. My hope here is that an abuser will see this and know how despicable most people think they are and that the victims will see how they are not alone and to get help and get out. I've been a 911 dispatcher for decades now and see/hear the effects of generational violence. I always recommend Ren's One million subscribers video so you can understand who Ren is as a person. Some even react to it. Much love from a new sub.❤
Thank you for sharing your powerful story. It’s important for voices like yours to be heard, and I'm glad this video resonates with you. Together, we can raise awareness about these issues and support each other.
@@marydelaney9113 I’m glad I’m not the only one. I legitimately just move on from the reactors that don’t feeeel the horror of it. That smile, or just get hyped at the rhyme scheme, without actually listening to it. Either they are ok with it (had that feeling a couple of times) or they aren’t drawn into the story he is telling. Either way, it’s a no for me. Ren is truly bringing light to the dark corners that need to be SEEN, acknowledged, talked about, and changed. If a reactor shows emotion- like this one (❤), I know their Ren journey will be so worth following!
I'm a survivor as well and now I work with the abusers. Like Screech, many of them grew up surrounded by violence and pain. There's a lot of healing that has to happen. Some can do it and some are still too broken.
@barbarakangas3255 my abuser grew up in a family where the father would sometimes beat them unconscious. He's no longer alive, but the 5 siblings worship his memory like he was some kind of hero. While they would sit around talking about their horrific childhood. I'll never understand. So, absolutely, they do need help, but they don't need to be in a relationship. I can only imagine the stories you hear.
I read a comment along the lines of “when you’re glad you enjoy the music, but heartbroken you understand the lyrics” Ren is a modern day bard and my favorite modern artist hands down. Great video
Sorry to put you through that! its a hard watch but it showcases the genius of our boi Ren. The other thing is that it set a lot of reactors apart and we can usually tell from this which reactors will truely get him. Never let your intrusive thoughts stop you from uploading a reaction.. youre doing brilliantly. Welcome to the renegades brother ❤
Great react! We all had a similar experience with this one. Promise they aren’t all like this. There are many a happy upbeat ren song. Money game is a brilliant collection of abstract, hip hop, and story telling but money game 2 is the lyric video not acoustic. Rens story is one of great hardship and struggle like few have ever experienced, but it is one of tenacity and motivation as well. Ali would suggest checking out the chapters. It is just ren sitting down and telling his story. To know what he’s been through helps fill in the blanks with his music and knowing about the man behind it will help you understand why we all love him so much. You can find the chapters on his TH-cam “troubles playlist” there are 8 chapters. Maybe the best story you haven’t heard yet! There are songs at the end of them. Just skip them so you can react to them. You like a good story you’ll love this one. Something shorter to look at as well would be the “1 million subs” video. It’ll help you see a little bit into the man as well.
Man, what a great reaction 👍❤ First some big hugs to you. 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂 Some of Ren's songs touch really hard. Only do them when you feel you are prepared for it. There are so many songs the Renegades have cried to. It's no shame to wait for the right moment. Take care of yourself. We need you 🙂. Try some lighter songs next. You deserve it. One of this for example: 1990s (Official Lyrics Video), Losing it, What you want, Back on 74. Or some of his former Band The Big Push: Bongo Bong, Swan Song, English Man in New York. And some detaisl regarding the tales: - Big Ben was out of service for repairs when Ren wrote Screech's Tale (clocked out). - When Ren sings "He melted into the black night just like snow" Ren almost disappears in the darkness for a moment in the video as well. - When you look up the original lyrics for Violets Tale you'll find that it's not "Grew up with violet stars", it's actually "Grew up with violeNt starTs". So crazy. - You can find lots of locations in Brighton (including those for the tales) where Ren shot videos on a Google Maps project called "Ren's Brighton". Check out the Rencyclopedia to find it. - I read somewhere that Ren said that they had to stop one take (don't know of witch part) because someone shouted that they should shut the F up 😁. You have already recognized it, the whole trilogy is about transgenerational violence. That's what Ren want's us to think about. The behavioral patterns of the protagonists endure across generations: women are silent, men are violent. And we/the society fails to break the cycle. There's a great reaction video by Stuart J Randall who is a psychotherapist himself and works in youth justice that shed a light on it: th-cam.com/video/KAbS58TwEFU/w-d-xo.html There is also a live performance of the Tales: The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full 360 Live Performance). Very cool kind of open-air theatre. First the audience walks through the streets of Brighton to then come to the place where Ren performs the Tales. On the fan page @Renegade-x7x you can find three songs related to the tales from another universe. Screech doesn't stab Jenny for example. Although created with AI and/or its support, it's made with a lot of love. I love this idea of a different twist. And how Ren inspires people to be creative themselves.
Great reaction! I agree the next reaction should be a little easier - can I recommend "Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle" to showcase his singing voice! ;-)
Another great reaction! It’s a tough listen and as someone else commented, you are the first reactor that noticed Ren had to get himself ready for Violets tale! BTW, Ren loves reactors! Don’t be surprised if he leaves a comment himself!
His song "Power" is a real up beat vibe. It jams! if you want to experience his lighter side. Great reaction. Thanks for joining us. You'll love the ride. 😜😜💥💥
Generational trauma it’s real and it needs to be talked about! Ren did this after reading in a newspaper that street walker was killed by a 14 year old boy! And all the newspaper could say was it’s such a shame! Not what is happening to society that a child is out on the streets stabbing people! Well done Ren for showing how the care system is not working is both Jenny who is walking the streets at 14 and her twin is a murderer! They would have been in care as they lost their mother and their father would have gone to jail! Had they lived what would their children suffer! Well done a real reaction and love the guitar Snippets of info! 👏👏👏
You’ve made some powerful points here. It’s crucial for us to discuss these issues openly, as they affect so many lives. Ren’s reaction really highlights the need for change in our care systems.
Ren is Ren. He speaks to us true. Yes, sometimes is out of our comfort zone. But life is beautiful and life is dark. ✨Money Game all parts ✨Animal Flow ✨Penitence ✨Hunger ✨Crutch ✨For Joe ✨Fred Again This is my suggests 💚🍀🌎
16:35 I've watched many, nearly all Ren reactions. You are the first to see the 'fast forward' motif after "in character she stays silent'. #nailingit 👍🏻
Jennys tale was prompted by a newspaper story and people saying its such a shame then a few months later came Screeches tale then it was nearly 2 years later he released Violets tale tying it all together. Masterpiece.
For something fun and silly, REN’s Losing It (Fisher Rap Retake) is great. His song Power is also uplifting. And Back on 74/Message in a Bottle Retake is amazing in a totally different way than Hi REN and the Tales. Appreciate your reaction and the feeling it evoked. Honestly, a lot of male reactors don’t seem to grasp the full emotional impact of Violet’s story. It’s heartening to see men who do, even though it’s hard to listen to.
I really appreciate your kind words! It means a lot to hear that my reaction resonated with you, especially on such a powerful story. Thank you for watching!
I told ya he would Tarantino your mind with this one 😁 hes a master storyteller, and our modern day bard. Im so excited to watch your journey down the rabbit hole 😊 lets try for something a bit less heavy next time 😂💜💜🥹
@ReactADHD once you see more of his art, you'll constantly be wondering how he can be so damn good at so many things. Oh, and don't forget the band he was in, the big push. Lots of awesome stuff there too 😁💜💜
IMHO the Tale of Jenny and Screech is a Three Act Shakespearian Tragedy, in the style of the wondering minstrel bard. Ren has self identified his music as bard core, so that is confirmed. This is an ancient style of music; that goes right back through the wondering minstrel bards of the middle ages. The works of Chaucer sung in the Wife of Bath's ale house. The north African "Bearded Man" wondering from house to house, tent to tent and hearth to hearth; for a meal and some place to sleep. And back to the Dark Ages of Anglo Saxon epic poetry of Beowulf, on through the Greek Homeric tales of The Iliad and The Odyssey and the beginning of the Choir. This form of story telling probably goes all the way back to Ugg twanging his Bow to woo the Chiefs Daughter into the barley field, or to complain about the Chief stealing the meat from his hunt, usually at the hut of the Widow Ale Wife, where he and others would congregate to let off steam and tell tales of epic hunts; to then draw on the local cave walls, like the graffiti in The Tales. The music acts in part as interlude/intro as well as melodic emphasis and sound effects for the story. And the style of music continues right up to the modern busker, on the street corner or the subway, playing for a few coins and some smiles. I love Ren and Samuel's use of locational reverb in the sound production, something that instantly stood out to me as a sound engineer and producer. They also got lucky with the Seagulls in part of the song which then was deliberately left in and emphasized in the mix. Also throughout the acting and staging all done live! All of this indicates the intellectual level of the performance and production in this piece of art.
Thank you for sharing such an insightful perspective! Your knowledge of musical history really adds depth to the conversation and helps us appreciate Ren and Samuel's artistry even more.
Great video ❤ Never seen someone point out and recognize Rens deep breath before starting Violets tale as you did. Very observant and thoughtful, love it. You’re gonna have a blast going through his MASSSSIIVVVEEE catalog. And there’s a healthy mix of light and dark, no worries 😊
I have heard it called Inter-generational trauma. Don't worry, not all of Ren's work is this depressing but there are quite a few that have a real message to them. There is much more to explore. Try "How to be me", it will introduce you to another wonderful artist named Chincilla and she will blow your mind.
Ren loves his dichotomies, and the beauty of his artistry v the darkness of the subject matter is no exception to that. You are in for a rollercoaster ride, buckle up 😊, but you’ll be supported. Please don’t doubt your reactions though, just be you and you’ll attract the right people 😊❤️
And there we are.. I'm 40 seconds in and already loving it mate. Tip 2 😂. See a negative as a grain of salt, and a positive as a beachball, as we (adhd'rs) tend to do the exact opposite ;)
Jenny and Screech will have gone into care with violet gone and stevie guilty of her murder. The songs about generational trauma. Jenny is silent with fear, violet was silent, her mother kept silent about her fathers abuse. Then you have stevie who smokes and drinks and is violent, screech is like his father. Horribly sad but accurate to the care system in the past where siblings were separated into boys and girls homes. Youll find Ren is full of surprises and covers an astounding number of genres. A good fun ren song in uninvited. Its REN bring cheeky the song sounds radio friendly until you listen to the lyrics
I thought your Hi Ren reaction was wonderful - your were so engaged and invested and you brought real insight. You have a very quick mind and can analyse instantly. I'm so glad to have discovered your channel and have subscribed. I hope you continue to get to know Ren, he's so worth it.
Ah man, you suffered through that one 😄💔 Brilliant reaction. Keep going. Ren is just fantastic, and as so many point out, the community around him is a brilliant bunch as well. Chalk outlines is amazing, but also on the heavy side, subject-wise. So maybe wait a few songs before going there. I'm with you here from Denmark and will keep watching 👍🏻👏🏻
Watching ur videos the past two days i realised that watching ur reactions to Ren so far feels like watching myself react to them in a way Like the comments say, u notice things where other people would just keep going, which feels like a new kind of reaction to me And im so happy to see ur channel grow because of that
This is a very heavy one. Probably as dark as your going to find in Rens's collection, at least in its ability to empathize with a topic that is very hard to understand if not studied or lived through. Sometimes not even when studied. My favorite song to listen to after this one is humble. Puts life back into perspective.
I appreciate your insights! It's true that some topics can be incredibly heavy, and music like "Humble" can definitely help bring us back to a more balanced perspective.
I've watched hundreds of reactions to this masterpiece and you are the most emotionally connected to it from the first note he plucked. You are a beautiful human being. Great to see in our emotionally detached society.
That’s the beauty of Ren…..he never shies away from covering difficult topics…..definitely not an easy watch. The seagulls cry when Stevie realises what he’s done to Violet always gets me. So many tracks if you want a lighter listen….Power is fun and a go to track to make me smile.
One of my favourite reactions to Jenny and Screech and the only one who recognised that Ren becomes his characters and he had to steel himself to start Violet. Ren is not shy to highlight what’s wrong with this world, in the hope that those watching can play their part in being instrumental for change. For something light check out Back on 74!
“What you want” homage to the beastie boys is a much lighter fun song and “back on 74/message in a bottle” will give you an intro to his beautiful singing also much more palatable 🫶🏻 . Excellent reaction
Hey man, I've been watching reaction videos for a couple of months now, but you're on a whole other level! You're so quick and you catch everything in one go. It's like you're a reaction video ninja :) Something lighter? Big push, Rens band when busking 😊 thank you !
To add an even darker depth to it. Stevie was portrayed as a violent young man. The things her father did though could not be mentioned. This very much points to Jenny and Screech also being half brother and sister to Violet. Deep, deep layers here! For lighter fare, try Losing It.
Great reaction. Thank you, and welcome as a Renegade. 'Chalk outlines' and 'money game' are great, but they are also quite heavy. Ren was in the busking band The Big Push. Their performences of for example 'I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hiphop' and 'war pigs' are great and fun to watch.
Who on earth recommended subtitles ON for this video….. it’s the one Ren video that shouldn’t have subtitles as it spoils so much. I’m so sad that people actually suggested that. It literally spoils the ending. I usually turn off reactions with subtitles with this but I loved your first reaction to Hi Ren so I did watch.
Your reaction when you found out violet was pregnant with jenny a screech was captivating, story telling at its best my friend, Ren is a genius on a whole other level
Ren wrote this after reading an article in the paper. I thought it may be too soon for you to watch it, but you did a great job. For something more upbeat, try Power, Fred Again Mashup, Back on 74, What You Want, Bittersweet Symphony (original or the more recently released live version), or (and) Right Here, Right Now. The Money Game trilogy can be done individually (the video for #3 won several awards) Or, anything with his band, The Big Push. You’ve just done the most intense imho, and while there are still some that may hit hard, everything he does is next level.
By far the best reaction to this dark tale yet. ❤. You need lighter Ren after this one. Back on 74 is my suggestion. Love that you know your guitar work. ❤️🔥🤘🏼
Great reaction! Ren has a way with words to paint a very clear picture. Thats one of many things that makes him so great! Ren Sheds light on subjects that are important and should should be talked about more in my in opinion. I am very excited for you to see all of what he is capable of with his artistry. Just be you and keep making the videos to post. The raw genuine, vulnerable reaction is going to do you well my friend. Keep it up!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree-Ren's ability to convey important messages is truly inspiring. I’m excited to keep sharing more content with everyone!
Watched many reactions after I first saw Violet’s Tale, but you may be the only one who cried along with me. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes when a reactor looks unmoved I feel like I’m being gaslighted. Get that enough in real life.
I’m so glad you felt the emotions with me! Violet’s Tale really hits home, doesn’t it? It’s great to connect with others who understand the depth of these stories.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that you’re enjoying the reactions. Together, we'll keep shining a light on amazing talent like Sick Boi!
As you said, this is a dark tale, but so many live it. As the father of a domestic violence survivor, this hits hard. Welcome to the Renegades community mate. I also think that Back on 74 would be a good one to follow up with. Cheers from Australia.
Great reaction. Really enjoyed it. Money game is great, seven sins is probably my favourite. The songs with chinchilla are amazing and chinchillas just fantastic in her own right too. Looking forward to your next one 😊
Love watching people reaction to the tale of Jenny and Screech! No one ever expects the horrific twist at the end. Bravo 👏👏👏 well put together! Hard hitting Money game 1,2 and 3 worth watching all together. How to be me or chalk outlines are duets with an artist called chinchilla they sound amazing together!
Ren is clearly highlighting social injustices and victimization of ALL characters in these tales. Disturbing topic bundled up in his brilliant artistic expression💫
It's a hard one. But it's so good. The three parts were created some time apart. The first one was inspired by a news article Ren had come across. I believe the article finished "and it's such a shame"
Wow..... life will never be the same again! Consider me a RENegade convert!
If you want something light try his band the big push cover i shot the sherif/road to zion/hiphop or check his cover for back on 74/massage in a bottle
We happily welcome you into the fold!!

You've barley touched the tip of the Reniverse. I'm looking forward to more. What you want or Bongo Bong are fun and totally different.
Are we gonna skip by the fact this man has an amazing hammock in his living room !!!
@@CindyBaucom-sb1hd I was wondering about that. I thought, nah, that can't be a hammock lol.
Yes hooray for the hammock too
I was looking at it thinking, there’s gotta be a place in my home where I can put up a hammock! 😂
The Greeks saw beauty in tragedy. I see it here also. Back on 74. Much lighter completely different side of Ren.
You're the first I've seen to realise ren steels himself for violets tale💙
You are right! He had to get HIMSELF ready for it!
Yes! I never thought about that before
Yes, I have never heard anyone else mention that, even in comments.
This is actually one of my very favorite moments in the Tales. The first time I watched and saw it I remember thinking ‘uh oh’ and not being fooled by the beautiful guitar played right after it.

😂
It’s ok if you sit there without words.
We all did too. ❤🎉
Every time I watch the tales I cry. Those tears are meant for all those who have suffered in silence which these tales give a voice to…
Well said brother. And sometimes a tear for ourselves as well ❤
@ I stand corrected 👍
Great reaction man and just be yourself you dont have to worry the renegades are the most loving and uplifting community ever we are all f***ed up here ❤
I appreciate that, thanks so much!

Watch a fun rap video called, “The Hunger”. By REN
As a 67 year old, I lived through quite a lot of musical era’s… Discovered Ren about 3 months ago, an artist who has moved me like no other! Welcome to the rollercoaster of a ride you are about to embark upon ☮️ ❤️ 🏴
Thanks for sharing!
So glad to hear the Renegades lifted you up and inspired you to continue. Proud of my community!I’ll have to check the other reaction out next.
You should!
Absolutely enjoy the brighter side before delving into Money Game trilogy, Seven sins or Chalk outlines.
Definity agree here, might add Love Music 1,2, and 3 to that as well
These are Ren's mini operas
I'm on the journey with you
I love watching all the different reactions
He did a live version of this song using a 360 camera in the street
A whole different experience
I hope you get onto the love music series, which should lift your mood
Or "What you want" for a bit of fun
Stay on the ren train and you won't be disappointed
You don't have to say much, we're reliving our first experience of seeing this for the first time through you...

And now, you need to watch about 6 light songs by Ren... He does have them, and they're also brilliant
Exactly!! ❤
Sending you the *biggest* hugs. This trilogy hits hard.

Same. It's a catchy piece of music but shows that they just aren't listening properly or feeling the vibe.
I unsub to anyone who does that, and tell them why in comments. I try to steer clear of their channels again.
Tough crowd
If you need a breather and a different Ren vibe, I suggest The Big Push doing "I shot the sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop" You will want the red suspenders version, that seems to be the one I've seen recommended most often (and I agree).
The busking sessions with Sam Tompkins and Chinchilla are also great.
I really appreciate your input! It's always awesome to hear about new music recommendations, especially when they come with such enthusiasm!
This whole reaction was perfect!! Your real, emotional investment into these stories, and ability to pick up on things so many reactors miss, makes me very excited to follow this journey down the rabbit hole!! 🐇🕳️
As many have mentioned, there are over 200 songs to dive into, so you have plenty to work with. I also agree that getting to know just Ren is the best way to start, before diving into the many outstanding collaborations. They are all more beautiful sides to this man. (Alien? Unicorn? Genious!)
My suggestions for next palate cleansers:
-Love Music part 1 or 2,
- What You Want (Beastie Boys style fun)
-Back on 74/Message in a Bottle-retake -Hold On
-Power
-Bittersweet Symphony- retake.
There is quite allot of music from Ren that isn't traumatic but is still very good.
Violet died, Stevie went to prison, kids would have been split up and put into the care system..Jenny was silent like her mum, Skreech was violent like his father..they were born side by side on the same day,and died one street apart on the same day...
It's heartbreaking to see how intertwined their lives were. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this tragic story.
@@ReactADHDalso, Violets childhood was one of abuse at the hands of her Dad & and alcoholic Mum 💔
Great reaction. Ren paints an amazing picture in all his work. Not always the happiest painting, but very emotional. Enjoy the journey.
I refused to watch this again for months after the first time. I am finally able to watch because I can see it as a fable now.
Ikr? But it's not a fable. It's real, and life won't let me forget that.
Great reaction! The first time I saw this I was so devastated that it took me about 10 days to summon the courage to watch it again. I now consider it a true masterpiece and love watching great reactors like you be as devastated as I was. Keep diving into the Ren rabbit hole. There are many more surprise awaiting you.
its a masterpiece!
Haha, right? That little shake was like a warning sign flashing “Buckle up, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!”
You're doing great. You had my eyes stinging a few times. I really, really like
your companionable approach to reacting.
@@lulumeto Great comment. I always watch men's faces when they are reacting to Violet's Tale, to see what might flash across thier face.
Thank you so much for your supportive words! It means a lot to know that you’re part of our community and that we’re all in this together!
This ❤
This piece is a masterclass in storytelling. Stunned silence was my reaction when I first saw it. Welcome fellow RENagade.❤️
Man, what a great reaction 👍❤
First some big hugs to you. 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂
Some of Ren's songs touch really hard.
And some detaisl regarding the tales:
- Big Ben was out of service for repairs when Ren wrote Screech's Tale (clocked out).
There's a great reaction video by Stuart J Randall who is a psychotherapist himself and works in youth justice that shed a light on it: th-cam.com/video/KAbS58TwEFU/w-d-xo.html
There is also a live performance of the Tales: The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full 360 Live Performance).
It is a true story, and i can say that i cried the first 50 times i saw Hi Ren,❤
Great reaction! I agree the next reaction should be a little easier - can I recommend "Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle" to showcase his singing voice! ;-)
Great suggestion!
His story telling is so strong. ❤
Another great reaction! It’s a tough listen and as someone else commented, you are the first reactor that noticed Ren had to get himself ready for Violets tale! BTW, Ren loves reactors! Don’t be surprised if he leaves a comment himself!
I appreciate that, it was certainly a hard watch!
Great reaction, Power is my favorite Ren song.
✨Money Game all parts
✨Animal Flow
✨Penitence
✨Hunger
✨Crutch
✨For Joe
✨Fred Again
This is my suggests 💚🍀🌎
16:35 I've watched many, nearly all Ren reactions. You are the first to see the 'fast forward' motif after "in character she stays silent'. #nailingit 👍🏻
Jennys tale was prompted by a newspaper story and people saying its such a shame then a few months later came Screeches tale then it was nearly 2 years later he released Violets tale tying it all together. Masterpiece.
I'm glad you enjoyed the narrative connections! It’s fascinating how stories can evolve from real-life events and intertwine in such a masterful way.
Im so excited to watch your journey down the rabbit hole 😊 lets try for something a bit less heavy next time 😂💜💜🥹
Haha, don’t worry! Next time, I’ll try to keep the mind-bending to a minimum and maybe throw in some unicorns or rainbows instead! 🦄🌈
A LOT of Rens music is dark because that's the way the world is. I would suggest Humble ft Eden Nash. So uplifting to me.
Great video ❤
Never seen someone point out and recognize Rens deep breath before starting Violets tale as you did.
Chalk Outlines first then How to Be Me!!❤
Ren loves his dichotomies, and the beauty of his artistry v the darkness of the subject matter is no exception to that. You are in for a rollercoaster ride, buckle up 😊, but you’ll be supported. Please don’t doubt your reactions though, just be you and you’ll attract the right people 😊❤️
Absolutely! The contrast in Ren's work really gives us so much to think about. It's all about embracing those emotions and letting them flow!
Some of his darkest lyrics or themes have the most upbeat feel. So genius
And Jenny was 14 years old too. It's devastating but so amazingly told.
I completely agree! Jenny's story is both heartbreaking and beautifully crafted. It really resonates with so many of us.
Ren love his reactors,so do not feel that you stop,or not❤
And there we are.. I'm 40 seconds in and already loving it mate. Tip 2 😂. See a negative as a grain of salt, and a positive as a beachball, as we (adhd'rs) tend to do the exact opposite ;)
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know you're connecting with the message.
For something more fun try Losing It or Power 😁 Great reaction!💯
Thank you so much! Yes, I am impulsive to immediate observations, it annoys most people as I stop them before they say it!! lol
Ah man, you suffered through that one 😄💔
Brilliant reaction.
Can't wait! Thanks for the support!
Watching ur videos the past two days i realised that watching ur reactions to Ren so far feels like watching myself react to them in a way
Like the comments say, u notice things where other people would just keep going, which feels like a new kind of reaction to me
And im so happy to see ur channel grow because of that
This is a very heavy one.
I legit feel bad for making you experience that. This is the most visceral, real, painful story telling. ❤️
Tell me about it... still recovering
I really appreciate your kind words! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the reaction and found the song choices interesting.
Ren does have a fun side too, Back on 74/Message in a Bottle for something much lighter but shows off more of his influences and his range. Great vid.
Hey man, I've been watching reaction videos for a couple of months now, but you're on a whole other level! You're so quick and you catch everything in one go. It's like you're a reaction video ninja :)
Something lighter? Big push, Rens band when busking 😊 thank you !
I appreciate that!
Welcome to the RENiverse. Ren IS a modern-day Shakespeare.
Awesome reaction yet again, sir.. money game part 1, 2 and 3 are sublime
Added!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and I’ll be sure to explore those songs you mentioned.
By far the best reaction to this dark tale yet. ❤. You need lighter Ren after this one. Back on 74 is my suggestion. Love that you know your guitar work. ❤️🔥🤘🏼
I will check it out!!
Yay!! So happy you're back! Watching the video now, you have such an expressive face, so fun to watch!!
Welcome back! Thanks!!
I watched your Hi REN reaction and was just commenting that you should watch this. It’s a masterpiece and REN is a genius.
Ren❤❤❤❤, You❤❤❤❤
✌️👌
Great reaction! Ren has a way with words to paint a very clear picture. Thats one of many things that makes him so great! Ren Sheds light on subjects that are important and should should be talked about more in my in opinion. I am very excited for you to see all of what he is capable of with his artistry. Just be you and keep making the videos to post. The raw genuine, vulnerable reaction is going to do you well my friend. Keep it up!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree-Ren's ability to convey important messages is truly inspiring. I’m excited to keep sharing more content with everyone!
Another authentic reaction from you. We cannot wait for more Ren 🙌🏻
Bro, welcome to the brilliance of Ren! He has so much great music to listen to.
Life after experiencing the Reniverse is something special!
Amen!! Life after REN
Woah.....Renegade's are sadistic little buggers....😂. New sub. 2.99k......I made it 3k..😉
Nice work! should get a prize!
Another trilogy is the Money Game parts 1 - 3. Well worth the reaction and you will love it.
I think it’s a bit early for that one, lol
Watched many reactions after I first saw Violet’s Tale, but you may be the only one who cried along with me. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes when a reactor looks unmoved I feel like I’m being gaslighted. Get that enough in real life.
I’m so glad you felt the emotions with me! Violet’s Tale really hits home, doesn’t it? It’s great to connect with others who understand the depth of these stories.
Absolutely awesome reaction, my brother. It's a rough one. Now it's time for How to be me and Chalk Outlines.
Man, the Renegades took you from "Hi Ren" and threw you right in the deep end! You were absolutely correct about the conclusion!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm really glad you found the conclusion spot on. Your support means a lot! Still getting over it!
@@ReactADHD I feel ya there man. It's definitely a hard one.
Welcome to the RENegade Family!!❤ Our Sick Boi is a genius lyricist. Great reaction this one hits hard. Keep it up you are a great reactor🙂
Added!
@@ReactADHDooh, Seven Sins is my favorite as well! He describes the pain so perfectly.
we are here for tears, man. Don't hesitate. We crying as well with ya
Thanks!!
Whoever told you to turn on the subtitles for this one did ya dirty.
Yeah... didnt think much about it lol
Your reaction took me back to the first time i watched this trilogy. Hauntingly tragic.
Love watching people reaction to the tale of Jenny and Screech! No one ever expects the horrific twist at the end. Bravo 👏👏👏 well put together! Hard hitting
Money game 1,2 and 3 worth watching all together. How to be me or chalk outlines are duets with an artist called chinchilla they sound amazing together!
Ren is clearly highlighting social injustices and victimization of ALL characters in these tales. Disturbing topic bundled up in his brilliant artistic expression💫
Amazing reaction to a tough video. Thank you for doing this reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it
the reaction you had is exactly right and same as mine, completely drawn in to the story
It's a hard one. But it's so good. The three parts were created some time apart. The first one was inspired by a news article Ren had come across. I believe the article finished "and it's such a shame"
