Evening Codger, Glad to see you got the panniers rails fitted ok 👍 Yes I have traded the KTM in for a BMW F850GS which I have to say is a much more comfortable ride and a lot more kit but not out of the blocks as quick as the KTM. Also the best thing is I do not have a water feature inside my TFT every time the temperature drops below a certain point. But as with everything each to their own so I'll give this one a go for a year or so and see how it goes. Just Because I have left the KTM club doesn't mean I enjoy your work any less, so keep it up and I'll still be lurking in the background. 👀 Cheers
Glad it's working out. The 790 still fits me the best, of course I agree on those issues. The rack fits great. I'll probably leave brackets on but just run the rack on trips. You nearly had me getting hard luggage... 😁😂👍👍
SPent the last two hours trying to mount the Pannier racks to no avail. Gawd, no instructions came with them I watched your video but w/e Taking the bike to the dealer ASAP ... IMy Lone Rider Motto Saddle bags came about two weeks ago (bad weather nice today) and I so wanted to see how they looked mounted on the racks. Oh well ...
I found a PDF on manufacturers online site for mine. The dealer will surely sort it, regular job for them. Things are warming up here too. Roll on summer 👍
@@CodgerBiker Well this past Friday I took the rack and the bike to a KTM dealer (a 45 mile drive each way). They installed it while I waited. It took them about 90 minutes. I then rode the bike back home. You know (well you will now, haha) the stock seat on the S model kills my back (it is comfortable/ok the first 40 minutes or so ). Great riding position but for whatever reason the seat kills my back) of course my back is not in great shape anyway. Sometimes simply walking is a painful experience. Anyway, I am now looking for an after market "Comfort Seat". Any suggestions ?
@@whiterabbitt2002 Backs are tricky aren't they. I have much hip/back issues. Seat Concepts have good reputation, I have one on my 690. Also, for me, lower pegs help. But for some it can just be the upright Adv riding position. All we can do is find what works. Good luck! 🤞👍
The Enduristan are fine, but small. Ideal for shortish trips. I tend to add a top case if away for longer. They do not need a rack. They did need an exhaust guard (Inferno) in my opinion. You might get away without one, depends on exhaust position. 👍
Yes I saw that in one version of instructions, but it wasn’t in the european version of the instructions I used. I don’t think it is necessary, but it was that which gave me the idea to buffer it with rubber. I’ve not noticed it hitting at all in any event. 👍
Thank you, your video was a huge help. Had a heck of a time finding instructions on how to mount rack.
Glad it was useful. Thank you for feedback 👍

Windshield for 790 looks awesome ❤
Puig Touring. I like it 👍
Good use of the Insta there 😉👍🏼
High praise😁 Seamless, ha ha! I just leave it running, plugged into the bike and forget about it. I like it very much 👍
@@CodgerBiker Yeah. Just leave the 'film crew' to do their thing while you do yours. Mega handy.
Has to be alien technology 👽

How are you getting on with the Enduristan panniers? Do you need the racks for them? Thinking of getting a set for my 1090.

Did you not get the "pipe clamp" that attaches the centre of the cross brace to the rear of the number plate holder?

@@CodgerBiker Aha - I got one with mine - bought from my local dealer. I like the rack :)
Yes it seems a quality product. Goes a little against the grain of my 'keep it light' philosophy, but I think it'll work well on a trip 👍
What are the pros and cons vs the Rade Garage racks?
No idea really. I only had these from a friend. They do take Touratech hard cases. 👍
What brand are these please? :)
