yes it is correct , this is because when you slide it in and it touches the gears it moves slightly. I prefer to move it half a notch rather than a full notch
@@siyabongamakhathini so does it need to be set one notch back from the T so it is on the T when it goes in? or on the T before it goes in so it moves forward when fitted?
@@Sam-Stripy it needs to set half a notch ( move it slightly above T so notch is slighly above T arrow ) before installalation so when fitted it will push the marks to align
Good to know, my S1 L400 pump is still going well, but it helps to have this sort of information. Hope to see more on the 4m40
I want to turbocharge my non turbo 4m40 so should I adjust my pump to T mark once I slap this big turbo on and wind it up to 30psi of boost?
How many degrees before top dead centre must it be set.
Thank you, my vehicul is a 2.8Turbo diesel , so i have to put the Notch at the (T) mark 🙏thanks.
So is it reinstalled when number 1 piston is at top dead centre?
Yes
So do you set it at that point. then slide it on, or slide it on to that point . As sliding on will move it 1 whole tooth over.
you slide it on to that mark so you offset it and slide on to point
That’s a critical piece of info you left out
hi , whats the firing order of 4M40 ?
What is the brand and model of this injection pump? Thanks
What is happening when you install the Pump with non Turbo timing mark in a Turbo vehicle ?
It will cause your vehicle to run badly , because it will not be getting correct amounts of fuel for engine with turbo.
Are those factory notches on the gear or did you put those in yourself
They are factory notches

Thanks so much 🙏🏽I lost my manuals years ago could never find them again no matter how much I searched on google 🙏🏽
I was told that when you put it back into the car it moves one notch when you slide it in, is this actually correct?

But when you install the pump... themark moves from the T to N
place mark one tooth before T so when you install it moves to the T
