- Some regions have already begun their early goose and teal seasons, indicating that the migration is just getting started. Our team across all four flyways shares their reports of waterfowl numbers they are observing in their areas.

Texas, we are seeing a few dozens! It’s usually a slow start but picks up beautifully during big duck seaosn!
NE Iowa has very few teal hangn around this year. Need to cancel that season and give those days back on the end of our season
They need to do that up here in MN too.
@@mooselineoutdoorsmn got plenty of teal this year your hunting the wrong areas brother
Love that first little bit of cool air
Glad to see ya'll put Florida in there. We don't get the love Louisiana and Texas do
If we could get some support on revitalizing the St. Johns river with eel grass duck weed and all the other local plant life it would put florida back on the map in terms of sheer numbers of birds.
If they'd stop spraying everything so the glitter boats can get around, we'd be in great shape! Good luck this season yall
Counting down the days
North Georgia has a few resident geese and that’s it
Teal have left Missouri if that nagging what if voice wasn’t there I wouldn’t be hunting it’s only day 2
Well this post was useless for the central flyway, aside from the mention of birds in north dakota.
Canada is loaded right now
is the hurricane going to greatly effect the teal for the 14th?
Depends on how fast she moves through, if she comes through real quick and doesn't dump too much rain we (LA) will probably be ok. The teal are down here in huge numbers stacked along the Coast waiting to hop the pond and head down to Mexico for their winter time beach vacation, but if Francine drags her feet, stalls or dumps 8+ inches of rain the birds will push W and start migrating down the TX coast line and we might be SOL. They won't push east to the mouth of the river as that's the NE side of the storm, so everything will move W is my thinking. Teal are still here as of this morning from people that are in the field cutting rice. From the sound of the reports from states to our north it seems the teal have either moved through or are moving through now. A lot of what I say depends on how many are here now and how many are still headed down this way to make the pond hop, there are still alot of birds to push through our area then even if the biomass here now blows out, we should still have some action even though it probably will not be for opening weekend. You have to remember all the rice here in LA was cut from late July through now as lots of rice is still being cut, so what little is left over for the wildlife to eat, as the machines are now near 100% efficient. Well its in the filed now, which is why the teal come through so good, as they need that to fuel off for the Mexico trip.
Hope this helps.
Canada geese not Canadian geese unless you know they were born in Canada 😂😂😂
