Maybe has something to do with a timer. Maybe have to kill the waves of enemies faster to get the boss to spawn, if you take too long they retreat. Just my thoughts.
Okay so the mechanics are: 1.) If the fortifications of high grade materials makes it hard for them to destroy, raid ends. 2.) When something blocks the sight and pathfinding to the Coffer raid ends. 3.) If making the pathway long slows the progress of trying to raid Coffer would make it impossible to complete while they just resign. Man imagine you can’t even use Black Ice fortifications and have to use insulated wood or bricks to make the raid possible… either they need to slightly buff the Demolitionist or make the raid have trebuchets at that point.

eradication just posted a video today defending a t3 base from the purge and it went great. he had one issue, but overall, not bad. this is also unreleased content thats in beta so one cant get too mad about any issues. smskcntr seems to be having loads of problems every day. perhaps its his builds? perhaps continuing to place gold piles either under or infront of the coffer is breaking it?
So new purge is take coffer safe within your base and plop it out front. Then hope your thrall dont kill the enemy to quickly or else they call it quits. Sounds like fun..com
I like that Conan is getting more tower defense orientated. This will result with ingenious designs like this. But I wonder how knocking out thralls will go and if Denis keeps his word that every Purge thralls from before Chapter II will be in new Purge as well.
I still say it's too easy. Been doing em with no admin bonuses and they are weak ass fuck. Too many NPCs will give you a failure to find a path... 8 want a brutal purge that I need to worry about
totally disappointed with new purge system... so what the fun with making ONLY comfortable bases to raid for AI? I am 100% sure most of player bases are not suitable for them, so devs force us to make 2nd base to play with NEW purge system for some meh rewards ? (personally i haven't see anything worth the effort yet i hope thins are going to change).
smskcntr, no offense, but you are missing the obvious: this Chapter is broke AF. Its not you, you're trying to be too creative and the programming of the AI is ridiculously poor. The base is going to have to be a straight alley with an easy path. Second video of yours that I've seen no Demolishers. I'm sure Funcom has created some lovely cosmetic items to take the attention away from the broken mechanics.
Stygia has fallen on hard times if it needs the player to self-sabotage to pull off a successful purge raid. lol
Somewhere disappeared men with sledgehammers for knocking out doors and gates. But the Khitans appeared, who break the gates with spears.
If you are going to put traps make sure the path is 2 wide is my rule. Make them stumble into it because of volume in the choke points.

There must be a certain rule, but I don't think anyone knows. It's all based on luck. We'll have to wait for a hotfix.

I say we put the gold in the centre and let purge come and get it. It'll be the most successful purge attempt. 😅
