I like the back! We have gotten spoiled. The processor for this $200 phone would have blown us away a few tears ago. I have the A23 5G. I think it's a pretty good phone. It has the Snapdragon 695. It doesn't have the AMOLED screen of this phone, but I think it has the nicest LCD screen that I've ever seen.
Hey Wade, sorry for the ridiculously long comment! The Helio G99 is a crazy good chipset and performs really really good, it's fluid, everything is instantaneous on it. The issue is One UI, it's way too heavy. My secondary a phone is an Infinix Note 30 Pro, which has a Helio G99 in it and with X OS it performs very well. It also has 8gb of ram and 256gb of storage as the standard, with a micro sd card slot! That phone btw destroys this, completely. The display has very thin bezels all around and is a punch-hole display with 120hz refresh rate. It lacks an ultrawide camera, but the main 108mp it has is better than this Samsung, it focuses so well it can do macro shots too. It doesn't matter that the A24 has OIS on the main 50mp camera and the Note 30 Pro doesn't, since the A24 can't go above 1080p 30fps, while Infinix can do 1080p 60fps and 1440p 30fps. The 60fps is unfortunatelly only on the rear, but the front camera can do 1440p, which the Samsung also can't. There is also an LED flash on both sides. Charging is 68W, which laughs at Samsung S line too, not just this, and it comes with the proper adapter. That's fine and all, but the phone also comes with a 15W wireless charger included in the price, because the phone supports fast wireless charging and it has a glass back. Comes with earphones too, and a case, and stereo speakers tuned by JBL ... that JBL, the one owned by Samsung. lol Price is about 280 usd where I live and cheaper in most other markets that sell it.
Does it matter? No. Xos on infinix is still a shitload of bazillion of stolen iOS and OneUI, heck, even pixel experience and oxygen OS and MIUI Mashup, which made it an undesirable Mashup. And fast charging, as nice as it is, is not everyone's needs with many people concerned about destroying battery expectancy. And people still shell a little bit more because Samsung's brand reputation just seal the deal, with the differences spec wise drastically reduced, infinix is only a nice choice for phones under 150$.
While I don't like XOS myself (it's preference btw) Infinix does it pretty well with literally the rest. They should improve their OS as I said because to me it isn't very good, but their hardware and charging are just exceptional for the price range they're in.
@@WildWildWeasel They did improve it big time with Android 13 over the older X OS versions, like even Android 12. I also have an Infinix Zero Ultra, which has the Dimensity 920 in it, yet I feel like the Note 30 Pro performs better just because of the OS difference.
@@WildWildWeaselThey finally updated the Zero Ultra to Android 13 and it feels like the phone got a whole spec bump, it's miles ahead of the same phone running Android 12.
The A34 will be the absolute minimum for me if I'm in the market for one. The only thing that's good with the A24 is that it now has the full One UI, not the trashy Core UI. Still a decent phone though but if I really want the A24, I'll wait for the 5G version.
I really hate the front design of this phone. The gigantic chin combined with that water drop notch in my opinion is just ugly to look at. Any notch on a phone is horrible. They could have easily made it a punch hole and it would have improved the look of the phone a hundred times more. I get that it's a budget phone, but come on Samsung!
I don't have a problem with LCD displays but what i dislike about them is that they have bleeding around the front camera which looks really bad. So I always prefer amoled displays.
@@bedrockbetter386although a LCD display is far more cheap to change too! My Redmi Note 7 Pro had a FHD+ IPS LCD display (I got that phone for INR ₹8000, which is around $100 now, back then might have been around $120), and after the 2 year mark the display got damaged after a hard fall. I got it replaced from the authorized service centre and it cost me INR ₹2000 (that's like $25).
I bought it and I regretted, I was using a tecno Canon 12 from 2019. It's a 120 usd phone, in Thailand the a24 was 250 including charger and Headphones which tecno includes in the box. The things I didn't like is it's display is yellowish, white isn't really white but yellowish, screenshots are taken by pressing the power button and volume down, that's ancient, no video screen record, the photos are over exposed or over saturated, it's too heavy and too thick, next phone am going back to tecno or flagship Samsung, budget Samsung is trash compared to other budget brands.

They are just making shame rather phones in this price segments.... They are rediculiously stubborn and annoying regarding budget and mid range products. They are self sufficient being their own enemies.
Clearly you look like a consumer who has no idea what to explain in a phone lol...I think you fail to mention 2 things...a34 is way more expensive by over 50% more and a24 has an amazing premium look...its hard to explain but dont believe? Go to nearest samsung shop and do this 3 things, hold the phone and put on table ( stare at it)....next open youtube and play a full hd video max screen with plug in earphone ( click dobly atmos for a24) and also use speaker for all 3 phone ( a14 a24 and a34)...next you can also change the dispay saturation and the hz to reduce battery ( a24 has 90hz on top of the super amoled and fhd with 1k nitz of brightness)....A24>A34>A14...5g or not thats an entire different story....snap dragon or not if you tend to come to this price range , then dont complain about using mali.
