Hi sir, i have change my FY02 motor with 550 motor, the problem is the pinion cant be install on the new motor because diferent hole size, and if i use 1:10 pinion is the pitch size are not same between pinion and spur gear. What are pinion gear do you use that? Thankyou

But how? I tried to run with a 3650 motor with plastic Gear and on air It ho well but when i put It in road the motor has destroy the gear(week ago)

ye but the Stock ESC is brushed and got 2 wires you wane upgrade the motor to brushless with 3 wires then you also need a brushless ESC with 3 wires not 2!

i made it fit but it was a struggle

@@HowToDIYRc i sand cover from inside with dremel and it works but plastic is now paper thin. Put some glue from outside to make it a bit stronger.

Have you drive with this engine ? I used F540 3300KV + 60Amp ESC and now, car drives a bit slower than on stock equipment. Any idea why?

Old battery not giving the motor the amps it likes to draw from the battery

@@HowToDIYRc i've got two batteries one came with car other one, bought a bit later , both nearly new, charged in total maybe 10 times. Any other ideas ?

@@supergonzo4 yeah, just because you bought a new battery, doesn't mean it's putting out more amps, especially if it's pretty much the same battery. You are going to have to go with something like a 3s lipo battery to get anywhere close to this setups full potential. The one that comes with the car is a 2s battery.
