PLEASE NOTE: As mentioned in this video, the list was solely generated based upon "my enjoyment" of the individual National Parks - not using beauty or popularity as a standard. Because of the vast diversity and incredible beauty they all share, the Parks are incomparable. This is just my personal subjective assessment based upon my individual experiences. And with that, we can all respect the opinions of others that might differ from ours to celebrate our favorite National Parks! AND YES, I KNEW I'D SURPRISE SOME WITH MY #1 SELECTION! Just being true to my criteria and my heart.

No offense but, North Cascades is better than Rocky Mountain in every way. Way less people, the mountains are more lush and green, yet still rocky at the tops of them, the waterfalls and flowers in the summer are incredible, and wildfile is more abundant, way less roads destroying the park itself, and the hiking trails are 10 times as epic. I have a feeling you didn't discover Sahale Arm Trail yet...am I right? Anyone who has done Sahale Arm Trail has met God.

@@Hollowsmith Thanks for the information. Was there in 2013 and simply based it on my personal experience of a 1.5-day stay. Lord willing, heading back there in a few months. Noted your recommendation and agree with your insightful rationale. Think my thoughts are likely to change!

@@potatothorn Cool stuff, buddy! As I mentioned, impossible to rank the parks - all so diverse and beautiful so it was fun to go with the standard of "enjoyment." Keeps things totally subjective and personal. Do look forward to your list as I appreciate your insights. BTW - just returned from the mine you and Jason (Huck Outdoors) visited in Mojave. Incredible!!!

@@hariharanvenkataramani7311 Sorry, don't have time for that.
The most magical must be the sunset in several parks. Standing at the waterfall in Yellowstone and see the valley changes color from bright white with black dots to dark yellow, while the river got almost black - in 15 min. That was magical! The same can be said about the sunset in Grand Canyon.
Missing the sunset is missing the most spectacular!
The worst: 58°C (136 F)in Death Valley was scary! Do not visit Death Valley in July! It's deadly, and I mean it!
The whole trip;12,500 km (7,800 miles)

Being just a visitor from Germany, I congratulate you on this wonderful overview. I haven't been to Big Bend, Badlands, Acadia or Dry Tortuga, but I've visited the other eleven over the years, and most of those you mentioned between the numbers 2 and 1.
Personally, the places which have touched my heart the most are Island in the Sky in Canyonlands and a National Monument, Devils Tower (Bears Lodge) in Wyoming. Walking around the tower in the evening when most of the visitors had left, listening to the music of the wind in the trees and on the stone pillars is unforgettable for me.
Not to forget driving along Iron Mountain Road (US 16A) and up to Pikes Peak in a 24 ft RV (yes it works!)
Thank you very much for your compilation, it was great fun to listen and watch.

@Ruediger Podlaha Iron Mountain is such a cool road. You have the split-lane road going downhill towards Mount Rushmore, the three, wooden pigtail bridges which are so fun to drive, three tunnels, and then the switchbacks that take you to the top where you find the Overlook for viewing Mount Rushmore.
I recommend visiting the Black Hills to anyone that listens! I'm so glad you've had the chance to visit some of our natural wonders. Cheers!

Hello America's Park's! As always I enjoyed the video. You and I have both visited Arches National Park 4 times and it's truly a special place. I fact, I have been to all of the big 5 national parks and have hiked all of them. Delicate Arch, Navajo Loop at Bryce and the amazing Angels Landing are my favorites to hike. I also have taken the boat ride up Lake Powell to Rainbow Bridge National Monument. I'm from RI so I really love Acadia National Park as my son and I have been going every year. The Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park is absolutely spectacular, and so peaceful! Great Video Randy!

I love Yosemite in the fall, winter and early spring. The warmer months are so very crowded. I went to high school in a little gold rush town about an hour from Yosemite so I was able to go there a lot as a teenager. After high school I worked there off and on for years. The only downside to Yosemite is that is being "loved to death" by so many visitors in the high season.

I always try to make a point and mention your countrys INSANE natural beauty and the amount of amazing and open people that you can meet who love the nature and take care of it. Spot on! You are so very right. The experiences at a park can change the order so easily. Time of year, type of weather and crowds change everything. Clear and sunny to cold and snowy. A hike up along a waterfall or thru a canyon, a bike ride thru a park, a snow shoe hike or cross country ski adventure. Each experience is so different. I just hope that most of you experience some of these places multiple times, at different times of the year. Excellent video’s and I appreciate that you share your unbiased experiences with the rest of us. Thank you for sharing.

I have read a few comments and I am glad to see a lot people from Germany appreciate your work and passion for the beauty of the National Parks in the USA.
I also feel the need to leave a comment including my experiences in America’s NP. I visited the US for the first time in 2016. Two days in New York and then flying to Spokane, Washington get our suburban and driving to Salmon, Stanley, Sun Valley - Idaho over to Yellowstone and Cody, Wyoming. Then we were heading to Utah and visited - almost all NP‘s and NM‘s. Long story short: Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, Sequoia and flew back from San Francisco.
This adventure completely changed my view of life. I fell in love with the Nature and the people we have met in the US. Already 2019 I have been back in the US and probably will be visit again in 2021.
Thank you for your work. I honestly encourage everyone thinking about visiting America’s NP‘s to just do it.

I've always LOVED your videos and God's creation of nature. This summer my 20 yr old son and I are leaving Missouri and heading to the Bad Lands and camping for a few days and hiking then heading to Deadwwod, SD for 1 day then heading to East Glacier National Park for a 4 night stay. Then we are heading north to Waterton, AB Canada for 4 dadys before heading to West Glacier for a 7 night camping stay and hiking. We will be camping our entire trip. After we leave Glacier we are heading south to Yellowstone for 3 nights camping again before heading of to Colorado. I have a few free campsite near Walden, CO we are going to check out before we head to Estes Park and do the drive thru and stopping along the way. I have a lot of health problems and take about 15 meds and insulin so I am going to do my best to see as much as possible. We both are really excited. I'm going to try and do some videos also. But its less about roadtripping to one of a kind unique breathtaking natural wonders in the park system, and more about simple things like seeing fall colors close by, seeing bullfrogs in the local pond or wetland, or swimming in warmer oceans with less powerful waves. Not better or worse, just different.
If your priority is road trips to breathtaking natural wonders = West is Best

Really enjoyed this. Was very surprised at #1. Started too late in life but am trying to see as many as I can, so far 14 (6 of which are on your list). You and your family are very fortunate to have these experiences, especially while young. Have been to Rocky Mt National park 40 times as my husband and I honeymooned there and have returned pretty much every year. Thanks for the video.

Hey Randy! I camped next to you and your daughter on Dry Tortugas! I was taking bird pictures mostly and was camping alone for three nights. You and your daughter had an extra hamburger and shared it with me. Years later I saw your Dry Tortugas video on TH-cam. I was surprised because I never saw you guys filming. I sure appreciate the burger, the great conversation about life, and meeting a you. Your Park series on TH-cam is amazing. Thanks for all!!

Also, we are similar in age (50’s), midwestern by birth and raising (Michigan) and I grew up Lutheran so I get the faith led life. Fun to see your beautiful family in the videos also.

WOW, got to say, I would not walk away from that view at 0.19, that was awesome, I would be sitting there all day. We all have our favourite days and those Redwood trees were amazing, nothing like that in the UK but I could never try and rank them, there are so many awesome places you have visited. One thing for certain, you have created a living memory, for not only your family but for generations to come who want to visit and enjoy the national Parks - I just wish we could visit them as well! Cheers Alan

Such a fantastic vid!!! I just loved watching this. The delivery was perfect for me. :-)
We are currently on our national park tour. It's been tough with the unique circumstances of 2020 but we've been able to make it to Smoky Mountains, Arches, CanyonLands, Gateway Arch, Crater Lake (my fave), Shenandoah and numerous State Parks and National forests this year. Currently in Mt. Hood National Forest, we are about to head up to Olympic, Mt. St Helens, Mt. Rainier, Bad Lands, Indiana Dunes, Mammoth Cave and ultimately Biscayne to wrap it up for 2020. (Maybe Dry Tortuga now huh?)
It's crazy. Even with all of that we still feel like we're missing out because we simply can't make it to places like Bryce Canyon, Zion and Teton among others. hahaha There's just so much to see and do!
The park system is one of our true American treasures and I'm absolutely loving showing my children the beauty held within.
Thanks for the vid. Ya got a new sub today. =)

I don't know that we'll do it, but when we went to Yosemite four years ago, my daughter and I discussed making that hike next summer--she and I will have just turned 18 and 50, respectively, so it's kind of a milestone celebration.
