@@PeakDennisReynolds That's your opinion, and you know how meaningful opinions are.You cannot please all and asunder. He got the style down pat and that is what the client wanted, nailed it.
Awesome as always. I love how you take the time to consult and discuss 1st, instead of just rushing into cutting. He looks good and seemed to be happy. I love watching your scissor work. You are a true hair master. Much love.
Damn he really did look like Ryan’s character in A Place Beyond The Pines. Especially the circus festival scene and the cigarette smoking scenes the hair was almost exactly the same only difference is Ryan’s had longer sideburns. This cut was great !
It’s what he asked for but when they look bad or not great like this, it’s usually because they don’t have the hairline for it anymore. He left it a lot longer in the front because he had to, because this guy has pretty good amount of recession that was hidden with the longer hairstyle
He really isn’t, he’s just uncomfortable with the camera. He literally said it’s the closest any barber has ever gotten to what he asked for/imagined. He was happy with it.
the cut is pretty much the same just because the client has a different forehead and face shape than ryan doesn't mean that both are not similar hairstyles.
Goslings hair in that film wasn't a messy fringe like this it had an off centre parting to create a bit of volume and the sides weren't perfectly cut they looked unkempt. Dan's ended up giving the guy the Hitler haircut rather than Ryan Gosling lol. Looks terrible.
I'm a huge fan of that style, and I think it's perfectly cut, really impressive. For those who thinks it's not well done, just compare Ryan photos with the 360 view at the end
I see a few people commenting about how this style didn’t work out because of his hairline (I don’t see anything wrong with it) My hairline is much more receded than his and I could certainly pull this off. Although, my hair is extremely thick so that really helps me in terms of styles (you can see on my avatar), the only style I can’t pull off is the slicked back look but I don’t like greasy hairstyles anyways (totally not envious 🤣) A slightly receding hairline doesn’t really affect styling as much as poor density. The reason his style might have not been what he expected is because his hair is very fine and straight even with thickening powder in it. Got2b does a great Matt product that comes in an orange tub, my friend who has the thinnest hair ever uses it and it make his hair super thick and he can pull off so many styles using it! I think his hair looked great in the end, Dan seems to adapt extremely well to a persons hair situation telling them what is and what isn’t possible but in the end gives the client something they can confidently sport! I actually think after a few weeks of growth he’ll have the style he was after (I know it’s an old video) 😁
19:06-19:13.....sorta looks like Emperor Augustus........If you freeze the image at any point, it has the makings of a fine Carrara marble bust. Forward is a great classic direction for his hair. You can see the texturing and definitely a double thumbs up on the length on the sides and nape of the neck. Btw, anyone else taking pause to marvel at the blond highlights or if they're natural? Smh.
American barbers always rush haircuts for the sake of quantity. They aren't particularly interested in quality. That's why I like barbers from overseas.
When I was in poland, I got a $15 haircut. Best haircut experience I've had. Didn't rush at all, super professional and nice space. Even gave me a glass of jack Daniel's to drink throughout the cut.
Love watching your videos, they are so informative, step-by-step and calming. Could you do a short video on how you hold your scissors when cutting straight and when adding softness or texture?

I've just noticed the hair near his left ear! Wtf has Dan given this poor bloke. Possibly the worst haircut he's ever given on the channel and there's some big competition for that.
Definitely agree. He walked in with the Bradley Cooper look and he's walked out with the standard 10 year old boys haircut. I've always said Dan can give an amazing haircut on the right day but he's very inconsistent and this is further proof of that.
He came in with a glorious mane and has walked away with the most boring haircut. Dan should of advised to keep the length on top so it still parts and just trim the back and sides. He's left him with a 10 year old boys scruffy fringe there's no style to it at all. Terrible cut if we're being honest.
@@EarthtoAdam95 Didn't mean it to be harsh it was just honesty, it's frustrating to see someone go in for a haircut and come out on the other side looking worse rather than better, probably because I've been given many bad haircuts myself over the years.
@@googirl5 The top looks terrible there's no parting his fringe is just sitting in a piecey mess with no direction to it he looks like he's just rolled out of bed. I'm not a fan of fades either but a fade would actually be an improvement here look where his left ear is how awkwardly its been cut he looks like a monk, the back and sides have been cut just as terribly as the top has. Dan has seriously ballsed that up I reckon the bloke regrets having it cut the before looked quite nice.
The before looked amazing and the after is what most mens hair looks like when they haven't had a haircut in 6 weeks and just get out of bed and don't bother with it there's no style to it at all just looks incredibly boring. Another bad cut from Dan.
He's literally me.
its nice to see more natural styles like this one coming back into trend
Yes definitely a lot more natural styles on trend right now!
The haircut uses the strengths of the model’s wavy texture hence the result is awesome. It’s a style that he will be able to reproduce at home easily.
There's no style to it at all it's near enough a bowl cut. His hair looked way better before the cut.

Great haircut. Style-wise, I preferred what he came in with. But Dan totally delivered on the photo.

Amazing! As usual.

Why does he have a tattoo on his face in the thumbnail lmao
Ryan Gosling a place beyond the pines
Preferred it longer. Great hair colour
His face looks so much more masculine with this cut.

@@alex1432 Nothing wrong with the hairline, Ryan Goslin hairline isn't perfect either. The problem of this cut is mostly on the sides anyways.

Nothing like Ryan’s haircut, too short everywhere
He looks more like a medieval monk.
Aside from the fringe being slightly too short, this is exactly what Ryan Gosling's hair looks like in that movie.
