I just assumed Doddy was busy with his day job as Beaker with The Muppets. 😜 cdn.wallpapersafari.com/3/61/R3h5P9.jpg But seriously, is Doddy on leave or vacation? He's not been around for a while. Anna (and the GMBN presenters) have been doing a great job! It's just odd that Doddy has been away for a while.
@@Cyclist-o6e Funny you say that. I caught an awkward "Ask GMBN Tech" vid the other week with in which he sounded grumpy AF with Anna smoothing things over. I wondered what was going on with him, them, etc.
The Gaint ATX One was my dream bike for years, probably the reason I got into mtb, with Rob on one, I remember doing a school project about the bike. Managed to get one for a while too, still love the shape, wouldn't want the geometry now though! I get genuine butterflies when I see one
I've visited Joe and the team at the museum in Fairfax many times before and after my rides on Repack and Tamarancho. Every rider should make a trip to know our roots.
Great show Martyn! At the Marin Museum of Bicycling, I really appreciated Joe Breeze's original production mtb (from his first run of ten bikes) and Jacquie Phelan's Cunningham mtb with drop bars (saw her win a lot of pro races on that Charlie Cunningham created beast). And just a couple miles from the Museum are multiple fabulous trails that YOU would really appreciate.
you got a great sense of humour martyn, funny, wow...looking at those early mtb's takes me back, i feel kinda privalaged to have started mtb'ing near the start of it all, to see those early experimental frankenstines is a right good trip down memory lane, thank you.
at 16:47 I wonder what breed Joey the cameraman is and I hope he’s people friendly and House trained it’s the way Martin says good boy and pats him on the head so funny 😂😂 joking aside a big shout out to daVinci paying homage to the legend that is Stevie chainsaw Smith
Joey's one of a kind! Definitely not a thoroughbred 😉🤣 The contributions from sale to the Stevie Smith Legacy Fund is a great touch. Really great move from the brand.
@@gmbn yeah definitely Nice of a big brand to do such a thing I hope they can keep up with demand I bet a lot of I’m going to buy that bike and hang it up lol
Did Martyn forget the cameraperson biscuits? Everyone knows dogs have trained their owners to give the biscuits. Didn't anyone tell Martyn that's how it works with the cameraman. I'm wondering what would have happened if it was a camerawoman was taken on the trip. Without the aforementioned biscuits.
@@Prestojoker2879 Then that's either a tiny tire or not a 26" fork. A 26" wheel with a 2.25" tire has just barely half an inch of clearance. A 29er with the same tire size will exceed that outer boundary by an inch at least.
@@Prestojoker2879 its impossible, a 26 fork its only for 26 inch wheel, you can fit a 27.5 but with a thin tire, in the case of a 29 its impossible to fit on a 26 fork, also is not recommended to put wheels larger than it is supposed
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
Sea Otter was a complete shambles. Tracks were shit and every rider that has own channel agreed. Not your fault though Martin, your part was sweet as 🙂
My favorite is the Mountain Cycle San Andreas. I’ve owned one since 1/1/1996!
Pleased to learn that Doddy is not dead.

I love an old gt but the mountain cycle is just so cool
Welcome back to the Bay,Martyn! Glad you enjoyed our museum.
That museum is absolutely incredible. I need to go there one day
It's a very very cool place to be! We love a good visit to the Marin museum!

Doddy's name has been spoken at last!
Now we know he's NOT Lord Voldemort. We can cross his name off the list.

V10 downtube flex is unreal. Avoiding fatigue fracture beyond 100k impacts from the Big F.A. is impressive A.F. !
Lemme me Introduce you to Evil Bikes!!
Nevermind the rear triangle and front triangle cracked.
I love the museum and santa cruz v10😃😄
First mention of Doddy in over a month... at least we know he's not dead?
Mr Ashton at Santa Cruz.. wow just F@#?@ng wow.. Been to that Museum omg it feels like you're in a holy place. I'm not jealous 😂 keep well all
Sea Otter is awesome! 🔥🤘
Some fantastic bikes in the museum.
#CaptionContest Rich is still pondering on the winner of last week's Caption Contest
Great show, Martin! 👍
Excellent presentation 🇬🇧🤠🤟
24hr tandem worlds should be with Ollie or Hank as a crossover Hank and Rich would be hilarious imho, like watching a Spaniel playing with a Labrador
Welcome/Bienvenidos to Califa's ese!!!!
I agree with #georidio. Having Hank and Rich doing the 24h Tandem Worlds.
Very cool, thanks. Yes, Santa Cruz V10 should dominate!
Definitely need to go to sea otter soon. I'm already in California lol. Can't wait to see more.
in that last caption contest rich looked like he has the ultimate rizz
Love this episode
Martyn, your bike from the original Road Bike Party should be in that museum!
Great show 😃 santa cruz , they are really nice bikes 😃😃
“This is where they made Danny Macaskill” was so good
I have a particular penchant for the Klein!
You're not alone! Those have got to be some of the most collected bikes out there!
#CaptionContest Proof that Doddy's "not dead... He's at home !"
Martyn, Hope you enjoyed the Cali Sunshine while you were in my state!
Excellent content ✌️
Great show, just too short, more please

"he's not dead; he's at home" lmao
Let us know if you and Doddy make it back! Would be great to fan out.
My money is on Atherton, I love that bike.

Where is the giveaway winner?
Yeah I was gonna ask the same thing, the entries are already closed so...
Apologies guys, Martyn shot this before the comp closed! Winner's details announced in the Dirt Shed Show next week!

nah bro, you cant

Was hoping to see who won the bike on the competition which was due to be announced during this show.

#askGMBN where is Doddy?
huh, i cant afford it, but anyways, the bike's amazing!
I think Jackson may well dominate this year!?🤔
We can't wait to find out! It's going to be a hell of a season!
When will the winners of the give away be announced
What's happened to the GMBN Racing News show? Plenty of racing over the last few weeks.......
No bike vault 🥹😭
am i wrong in thinking the give away should have been announced
So nobody won that nukeproof reactor?
You might get more nods out of Joey the camera man if you offer hime treats, you know positive affirmation and what not.
The Mountain Cycle was such a pinup bike. It was the Countach of the MTB world, stunning to look at but pretty bad in real life
Who won the giveaway????

Doddy overcompensation
"Stroke lady cave"

I'm not gonna lie. Cali is a reflection of the belly of the beast so I stay far away from there.
