I'm from Karnataka and I appreciate you pointing out the masala sequences without discount and giving verdict that "MASALA FILM DONE RIGHT". Most of the reviewers hesitate to point the masala sequences of such huge films due to their fans' backlash but in such grand movies there will be cringe moments for sure and we shouldn't forget to point that out at the same time enjoy them as no brainer which is what the film is for. You balance truth and reality very well, kudos !

There was nothing cringe of sort as compared to other pan India films but yeah there was little over build up in few of the scenes which some of us might not like. But if those scenes were cut out, trust me half the audience wouldn't be watching it rn. That's why it's a mass film!!

Every Indian thinks of himself as a critic of Indian Movies after watching couple 100s of foreign movies which are undoubtebly superior than many of our movies. But, South makes movies like nowhere else in the world. I fell in love with South movies after watching Eega or Makkhi.

In Inception, the main character lost his wife and now he's really desperate and ready to cross all limits just to meet his children and raise them... Motivating him to eat all the rich as if it's the rich people's fault that she's poor... She behaves as if she's the only one suffering and that her son has importance beyond anyone else... And everyone in the movie worships Rocky as if he really did make a difference in their lives by ruling over them 🤡.. Like he's some sort of a God and whatever he does is right!
Kgf 1 was really good but idk why but kgf 2 felt like they were trying to force some scenes and the repetitive slow-motion scenes became boring at a point I won't say this movie was a masterpiece kgf 2 was a ok movie you can watch it without getting too much bored

Honestly, the parliament is easy to do when you get into the reasonings. 5 random people did it in 2001, so a man with an army & unrivaled supremacy over India doing it 20 years before the real life incident isn't unrealistic. Also, there actually was supposed to be a fight before at the parliament entrance (the Mysore college used for the Parliament scene attested to it), but was later scrapped.
The way rocky has been shown in the previous movie ,he is always drunk and is very unhealthy....when you said about the Ford Mustang vs one dozen SUVs I also felt that it was too much and then the bridge holding scene was nonsense.......atleast Bahubali was a demigod like character.

Great review Shantanu. This is the only review of KGF Chapter 2 that I resonated with. I would like to add one more point. I didn't like the way they shot action scenes in both parts. There were too many cuts and not enough wide shots of the action. It was plainly headache inducing for me.

Movie kam collection of slow motion reels lag raha tha. Har 2 min mai alag alag kapdon mai slow motion walks Absolutely crap movie, unnecessary loud bgm, slow motion shots every 2 minutes. Glorifying the hero to an extent it becomes cringe. Story flow was also extremely poor and dragged unnecessarily.
KGF gave me a headache and I still am unable to understand the hype behind it. KGF was absolutely a horrible horrible movie. Worse than bhai entries, loud BGM and cheesy non-sensical dialogues. There was no coordination with the story, the hero just turned up 50 times, said some BS which was supported by super-loud and cringy BGM and exaggerated reactions from all parties. KGF's success actually underlines what is wrong with our world. Hype and perception based BS trumps everything.
Honestly didn't this one..1st part was good but this 1 full of utter nonsense. Pm ko dhamki, sansad m ghusna, that romantic song, and too much irritating sound made this movie bad.
And car chase scene ka jaise editing kiya gaya tha was so bad and same goes with rocky and adhera ka fight ase camera yahan se wahan I get it sanju baba is old unse nahi hota was action but still ase camera upar niche

This movie is not for the premium minded audience it was for every poor and middle class section. What rocky achived with his mastermind and power Ranvijay would never be able to. I agree that he commented entertainment to reena but never molested her aur slept with her before marriage. He maintained that dignity plus never cheater her with another to gain information or power. He was very much loyal to her. Rocky ne bhi apni maa ke khwaishon ke liye sb kuch kiya but kabhi bhi apna patiwart dharm nhi bhula and he also made sure that no childern or women will be touched. Just because ranbir kapoor north ka hai aur Yash sir south ke hain itna bhi bias nhi hona hai. Rocky jabardasti kisi mai bhi nhi ghusa but Ranvijay jrur ghusa. Uska papa kuch nhi bola phr bhi. So first of all there is no comparison between these movies and second jo jabardasti ka wo hai. Thoda kam bias aapko bhi hona hoga.
The difference is that the mother characters motivations were not revealed until a flashback in PART 2. they waited all the way till then to reveal Rockys motivations. In Animal we see Ranveers character interact and build a relationship with his father. Based on neglect and a bit of toxic treatment. Him cheating on his wife was all part of his "plan" which was very unnecessary but him being toxic was a part of his character. That's the point of a character like Ranvijay, someone who is irredeemable.
He made review on jawan I guess where he praised it and I find kgf is better than that in acting wise too. Every movies will not be 100% good in everything.
Shan you don't mention about Yash entrance on Parliament to kill a politician, nearby PM Reemika Sen was staring to Rocky, but how did he entered the parliament, where was Army and Security Official ? Where is logic goes?

I would like to add one more point. I didn't like the way they shot action scenes in both parts. There were too many cuts and not enough wide shots of the action. It was plainly headache inducing for me.

Just finished watching KGF 2. I liked it more than chapter 1. But I am kind of confused why this got so much hate. Maybe people are jealous of south film industry or this movie’s massive success. Or maybe they are jealous of Yash.

Absolutely crap movie, unnecessary loud bgm, slow motion shots every 2 minutes. Glorifying the hero to an extent it becomes cringe. Story flow was also extremely poor and dragged unnecessarily.

KGF gave me a headache and I still am unable to understand the hype behind it. KGF was absolutely a horrible horrible movie. Worse than bhai entries, loud BGM and cheesy non-sensical dialogues. There was no coordination with the story, the hero just turned up 50 times, said some BS which was supported by super-loud and cringy BGM and exaggerated reactions from all parties. KGF's success actually underlines what is wrong with our world. Hype and perception based BS trumps everything.

Sorry to say sir but you are also biased after watching your views on animal and kgf in some of the points u r no one to give 50% hate to this movie. This movie is not for the premium minded audience it was for every poor and middle class section. What rocky achived with his mastermind and power Ranvijay would never be able to. I agree that he commented entertainment to reena but never molested her aur slept with her before marriage. He maintained that dignity plus never cheater her with another to gain information or power. He was very much loyal to her. Rocky ne bhi apni maa ke khwaishon ke liye sb kuch kiya but kabhi bhi apna patiwart dharm nhi bhula and he also made sure that no childern or women will be touched. Just because ranbir kapoor north ka hai aur Yash sir south ke hain itna bhi bias nhi hona hai. Rocky jabardasti kisi mai bhi nhi ghusa but Ranvijay jrur ghusa. Uska papa kuch nhi bola phr bhi. So first of all there is no comparison between these movies and second jo jabardasti ka wo hai. Thoda kam bias aapko bhi hona hoga.
The difference is that the mother characters motivations were not revealed until a flashback in PART 2. they waited all the way till then to reveal Rockys motivations. In Animal we see Ranveers character interact and build a relationship with his father. Based on neglect and a bit of toxic treatment. Him cheating on his wife was all part of his "plan" which was very unnecessary but him being toxic was a part of his character. That's the point of a character like Ranvijay, someone who is irredeemable.
And he praised KGF in the review as well. Idk why u said he is biased when he critiqued Animal for similar reasons
