do not ever put anything metal in microwave. your lid has metal

Hi, you can actually put our metal in the microwave! We’ve designed the stainless steel in our lids to be 100% microwave-safe due to its smooth, curved shape. It sounds nuts, but some metal is totally safe in microwaves. If the metal is "rounded", its molecules won't arc (arcing is what can cause sparking).
A metal bowl, for example, is fine! But don't put in metal that is super thin (e.g. aluminum foil) or has multiple sharp corners (e.g. a fork). We have a whole blog post on this that you can find on our website!

I just got my set of Anyday [ got all but the extra large, so far]👏👏
... Please make a video of "BASICS"...ie: when the top/handle/??what ever it's called, should be up or down.. what is the best way to cook[IE: add liquid or not] & what size dish should be used for particular foods.[ power is also important] . Food lists / size dish / times ... hints -tips- help ... I can figure things out by trial & error, but food is EXPENSIVE & these dishes aren't cheap [ they seem to be excellent quality, and can be multi use👍 & I want to get far away from the habit of cooking in plastic dishes that probably [ in hind site] are not safe because of toxins in the plastic released on food]. So far have done mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, steamed frozen veggies, .... want to try stuffing recipes before the holidays [so I get excellent & fast results]... a lot of the dishes I have seen are of fish [ not a fish fan] or oriental dishes, but family not a huge fan [ though I did steam dumplings from an instagram post👍]
I am hoping to really cook in my Anyday dishes & so do more than reheat, steam, & boil water...... [ senior citizen so not a cooking novice, just don't use my microwave near enough]
