i absolutely adore clint and really wish the mcu gave him the time of day to shine because when renner is allowed the screen time, he’s so much like clint!! but they gave him the stupid family plot which keeps him out of the action. and about his deafness, he originally wasn’t hoh as a kid until after the matt fraction comics were made, and he was only deaf for a bit before it was completely reversed so we really can’t blame the mcu for not making him deaf when the comics completely erased it from existence. hopefully if they ever give him an actual storyline, we’ll get to see the his arc and get our first deaf superhero
tbonbrad i agree that a superhero dad is really cool but we already have scott lang and clint is the LAST person who would be a family man. he got divorced because he can’t be a normal dude, he loves being a hero too much. to have him be a retired stay at home dad in the middle of nowhere is so out of character. and the reasons behind giving him a family are shallow at best.
I disagree, I think Laura Barton is important because she's actually proud of him and supportive. When do we ever see a hero's SO who isn't there to constantly nag them to stop heroing or constantly being kidnapped? People overlook that she's actually pretty unique and I think more people should be talking about it. I adore Clint as the emotional core of the avengers and as someone who scraped his shit together and is living a pretty good life. I do wish they'd kept the deafness thing though.
Zaphtiera personally i don’t see where laura barton is unique. also peggy carter, hope van dyne, gamora, and pepper potts are all significantly more interesting and strong significant others. laura came out of nowhere and has the personality of a cardboard box. clint doesn’t need a wife and kids to be the emotional core of the avengers, his humanity is enough
firstly, it's a mistake to compare women who have had significant screen time in either multiple movies or a tv show to a woman who has to shine in only a few scenes spread out over two films. Secondly and more importantly, it's a shame you think that Laura Barton exists to give us information about her husband, and not on her own merits within the world. Please try to examine that feeling as neutrally as you can. And thirdly, it's a shame that you feel a woman has no character if you don't get to find out about her terrible traumas, or at least her cool powers. a good woman who can run a household, raise a family, be independent and still support her husband, should be good enough. It's a mistake, in breaking out of traditional gender roles, to tell the women who are happy doing those things that they don't matter

I’m so happy to know I’m not the only one who’s favorite Avenger is Hawkeye. I get so tired of having to defend why that is because people only ever reference the movie version of him, which does not do our boy justice! I really wish they had kept the fact that he’s almost completely deaf in the movies because it gives a very good message that he never lets a disability or his lack of superpowers stop him from being the best hero he can be. Out of all of the Avengers, he’s easily the most relatable to me. He’s also the original inspiration I had to want to learn ASL.
Triskellion Quinn to be fair he was only made completely deaf in the fraction run of hawkeye which came out after he was introduced in the mcu. i think it would have been super cool to make clint deaf but at the time his deafness was reversed in the comics so that’s why he isn’t in the movies
My personal favorite Marvel character is Spiderman. I've had I bit of an obsession with him for the past week and a half, which doesn't seem like long, but it's enough. He actually the reason why I got into Marvel (legit a week ago). I saw some clips of Homecoming on my youtube recommended and the rest is history. I just need to watch every MCU movie in time for End Game.
Favorite marvel character is definitely Spider-Man, love how he was just an awkward teenager trying to get the girl who became a hero, also it’s interesting to see the side of the press that antagonizes heroes and how peter deals with it. Also, WALL CLIMBING, I’ve wanted to do that for so long! And peter has pretty cool powers too

Besides his personality, his amount of skills and skill level of each is amazing. He deserves way more recognition. I get so happy when I actually see him on Avengers merch. For the longest time they didn't use him or Nat on any of the merch for the movies, at least now they've used Nat a lot, but still haven't used Clint enough in my opinion. Anyways, so happy you did this!! He came out great!! I can't wait for them to introduce Hawkeye II, except it looks like they're gonna change the character from being Kate Bishop to his daughter taking on the mantle, but only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Also pumped to see him be Ronin for a bit in the next film. Jeremy Renner just adds to the character 😁😍

Other than that, I've always been more into X-Men I guess, Rogue and Gambit being my favorites. (And please Marvel, include Gambit properly in your movies already, you're killing me here!)

My favorite is Tony. Firstly, I'm an Aries and a very stereotypical one at that, and I identify with the stubborn arrogance. Secondly, (mostly in the cinematic universe) Tony has gone through the most drastic character change and development (in my eyes). Thirdly, (aside from Starlord who is a VERY close second) he has the most human flaws of all of them (again, in my eyes); he is (as above stated) arrogant and stubborn, he's seen the real damage that being reckless can lead to and because of his guilt over that, he decided to do something about it. He has PTSD (the only one to show it in the cinematic universe and as a writer who tends to fall back on that for mental flaws for my very battered and broken characters, I appreciate it when I see it done well) and is still living through it even when it leads him into shitty situations (cue ironman 3). He went from a charismatic ass that you rooted for against your better judgment (again, all my favorites fall in this category, Tony, Deadpool, and Quill), to someone that genuinely cares for his teammates and friends and will do everything in his power to help them even hurting them if he must. Quill as my second favorite (tying with Deadpool because how do you not love him), is because I love how his moral compass in wholly his own. He's not a good guy, he's not a bad guy - he's somewhere in the middle. I'd say (using DnD alignment) he's true neutral, which is also what I've always gone for and seen myself as. He doesn't care about protecting the world (neither do most of us) but he damn well cares about protecting those he cares about, and there are precious few in this grand universe he's grown up in. He doesn't take kindly to those he cares about being threatened or harms and that is why I'll defend him to the ends of the earth over *THAT SCENE* in Infinity War. And Deadpool is Deadpool, he's cocky and hilarious and charismatic as hell. I love that magnificent bastard.
Clint is my favorite baby boy. The reason being is because I have been hard of hearing all my life. But just this past couple years I started wearing my hearing aid. So Yes I look up to Clint. I look up to my deaf boy. Also Sam Wilson is my other favorite. My bird boys.
And ugh that was one detail I hated they left out of the movies. They left out so much with Clint. The adorkable disaster. Nope, not my fave (was a shook girl as a kiddo, but I love my archers.)
Gearsinice I'm not super into comics, so I wasn't aware of that, but I wish they kept it. It is already cool that he has no super powers (unless you count his exceptional eye sight) just amazing skill and training, but having a deaf hero to look up to would be amazing for kids who wear hearing aids. Many school children who wear hearing aids are embarrassed about them and try to hide them or "accidentally" leave them at home or "misplace" them, and having someone who is not bothered by them and proudly wears a purple over the ear one without covering their ears with long hair would be so cool for helping kids see that it's no big deal.
Okay so, Hawk Eye weren't my favourite avenger but, he had that S O M E T H I N G that make me fell like "I FREAKING LOVE YOU DUDE" But now that I have notice all that info, it's like "Yep, he is the one, and the favourite" Thaks for teaching me on the marvelouseness (if that word does exists) of Clint 💜💜💜💜

He went from a charismatic ass that you rooted for against your better judgment (again, all my favorites fall in this category, Tony, Deadpool, and Quill), to someone that genuinely cares for his teammates and friends and will do everything in his power to help them even hurting them if he must.
Quill as my second favorite (tying with Deadpool because how do you not love him), is because I love how his moral compass in wholly his own. He's not a good guy, he's not a bad guy - he's somewhere in the middle. I'd say (using DnD alignment) he's true neutral, which is also what I've always gone for and seen myself as. He doesn't care about protecting the world (neither do most of us) but he damn well cares about protecting those he cares about, and there are precious few in this grand universe he's grown up in. He doesn't take kindly to those he cares about being threatened or harms and that is why I'll defend him to the ends of the earth over *THAT SCENE* in Infinity War.
And Deadpool is Deadpool, he's cocky and hilarious and charismatic as hell. I love that magnificent bastard.

Clint is my favorite baby boy. The reason being is because I have been hard of hearing all my life. But just this past couple years I started wearing my hearing aid. So Yes I look up to Clint. I look up to my deaf boy. Also Sam Wilson is my other favorite. My bird boys.

And ugh that was one detail I hated they left out of the movies. They left out so much with Clint. The adorkable disaster. Nope, not my fave (was a shook girl as a kiddo, but I love my archers.)
Gearsinice I'm not super into comics, so I wasn't aware of that, but I wish they kept it. It is already cool that he has no super powers (unless you count his exceptional eye sight) just amazing skill and training, but having a deaf hero to look up to would be amazing for kids who wear hearing aids. Many school children who wear hearing aids are embarrassed about them and try to hide them or "accidentally" leave them at home or "misplace" them, and having someone who is not bothered by them and proudly wears a purple over the ear one without covering their ears with long hair would be so cool for helping kids see that it's no big deal.
