The reason royal guard is working for you so good is because it is it’s own hit box now. It is no longer dependent on mihile getting hit himself. Just the hit box of the guard needs to be hit(which covers the front all the way to his backside and slightly above and below him.) before if you popped guard after you got hit guard would not proc due to his s and ping, but with new guard(this is currently in game on global too) even if mihile is hit you can pop guard and as long as shields hit box is hit you will still get the proc. They removed the whole reliance on ping aspect.
Looking at the patch notes I am excited for the changes. Major changes I've noticed: - Less %damage, but more ATT, %FD, %Skill Damage, %Crit DMG - Removal of Royal Guard's (RG) %damage by character level, but with the new changes, it's now 865% max compared to GMS's 565% + 1% per level, which is also... 865% max- if you're level 300 - Overall damage buff to most of Mihile's skills (except most of 5th job, Radiant Soul (Sword of Soul Light) and Light of Courage did not change at all) - The only 5th job change were to Mihile's Shield of Light (Rho Aias) which lets you get the full %FD bonus without sacrificing the durability benefit and also an additional 1 hit block and Sword of Light (Claiomh Solais), which gets a maximum damage of 2000% at 5 stacks, and a minimum damage of 1450%. Also the times hit increases from 7 to 12 - Mobbing and bossing seems to be much better with Install Shield (a summon much better than the current Hyper Skill with better damage and range, albeit with a 40s cooldown so you'd have to be mindful of where you put it.) - 4th job mobbing and bossing skills are merged, which gives you an extra node slot and hyper skills - Soul Link no longer makes you tank your team's damage, instead gives everyone %10 hp as shield for 10s for every successful RG - Offensive Defense gives you more damage from RG due to debuff that triggers an attack - Soul Majesty (which replaces Sacred Cube, and gives the same 15% damage), lets RG and Install Shield summon to trigger an improved Offensive Defense every 2s - Charging Light (Deadly Charge) extra 10% damage debuff, is now 60s instead of 10s, allowing for 100% uptime instead of ~50% - Enduring Spirit and its hyper skill is removed, and its effects are now passive onto other skills (thank goodness). The hyper passive skill is now replaced with Royal Guard bonuses, the most crucial ones are: Royal Guard - Enhance: Advanced Soul Shield’s effect when you successfully Royal Guard is enhanced, increasing the damage reduction of % HP attacks by 5%. This stacks additively with Advanced Soul Shield’s effects; Royal Guard - Persist: Advanced Soul Shield’s damage reduction of % HP attacks effect when you successfully Royal Guard’s duration is increased by 5 seconds. - Important 5th boost job node changes: Four-Point Assault (Soul Assault) -> Install Shield / Soul Majesty, since FPA and Radiant Cross (Shining Cross) are merged. Royal Guard -> Royal Guard / Offensive Defense - Radiant Soul Slash can now be be used with the newly merged Shining Cross with custom command (no more awkward basic attack at the end of the skill!)

Hey coppersan, youtube viewer here. Due to your videos I got back into maplestory after years of being away. I remember 4th job being added to the game, can't believe how fun it is to play now. Just a tip for your videos, I tend to skip the shoutout at the end. So maybe adding an easter egg or blooper at the end, or perhaps use something like a banner tekst that shows your fan names during the video at the top or something might be better to get people to watch the whole video. I think an easter egg/funny tidbit will give more incentive and will make it more fun to watch till the very end. But hey its worked for you so far, so what do I know? xD
Recently started playing a mihile and loving it my third favorite warrior class (Paladin, Demon Avenger, and Mihile my favorite ones) only level 140 tho 😭 4 hours In. Wish me luck as my soon to be third level 200 character
the new style is a particle system / shader they can recolor over the simple glowy-light drawings so they can easily use across multiple skills and characters. really not a fan of those.
I absolutely despise all of the new animations during the remasters, both Cygnus and Explorer. It removes so much of the uniqueness of each class for generic, flashy "flat" graphics. I really wish they let you keep old animations for existing skills. I will not be able to play Mihile with these new animations, which sucks.
@@paulp.6299 If you press both of their bossing keys at the same time the character does both, so you really just use two fingers instead of one for bossing. Nothing really too crazy.

Did they increase the uptime or reduce the cooldown of Radiant Soul at all? It's one of my only real complaints about the class other than damage.
I still feel like TB is the class to be when this comes to global.
