also great take on the batman comparison, unfortunately they dont seem to go too much with that past season 2, but i always thought he should always be referring back to his little hero notebook, analyzing and attacking like batman because although he has one for all, he was born and should fight like someone whos quirkless
This ep made me gain even more respect for Deku than I already had for him, can't forget this is literally a kid who's been told his whole life that his dream is PHYSICALLY impossible for him to achieve no matter what. Yet he studied heroes extensively, their skills and techniques and that knowledge along with his quick thinking makes him the perfect person to be a hero. This episode for me shows Deku's REAL power, his tenacity and hard work trumping the amazing quirks of Todoroki and Bakugo. Makes you think, he might have breezed through this with ease if he could control OFA.
I love this episode because is the classic underdog story, the protagonist not only have to face people better than him but he has another disadvantage, can't use his quirk, so he has to use his intelligence and wits to win.
I hate this episode so much. Midoriya won just because author decided so. The final moments before the finish line is insanely stupid, nobody using quirks, just running on their legs. So lame and unrealistic, Todoroki could freeze both of them easily in this narrow space. Dumbest shit ever. I want MHA to be a good anime, but sadly, it is not.
MHA is a great anime. Not perfect, but nothing is. People in the end were shown using their quirks, and the ones who weren't had a reason (in Todoroki's case, he wanted to not give up his lead by leaving a safe trail for others to follow, a notion he gave up on once Deku made his move). While Todoroki is powerful, he used his quirk a lot throughout the race, and he does have limits. With all that being said, the actions Deku took throughout the race, while clever, definitely seem like they would take longer to execute than the manga/anime shows. For one, climbing across the ropes is nowhere near as fast as the other methods shown. There is some logic in "the ones at the front have the most mines to avoid" but it still seems like the frontrunners should have been done before he had time to enact his plan. Nonetheless, narratively I applaud how this turned out, particularly since you get the follow-up of "now everyone notices you, and you're the number one target to knock down, but you're nowhere close to the finish."
Rewatch the episode. Todoroki and Bakugo were both using their Quirks at the end there, it just wasn't enough to make up the difference caused by the explosion. Which both significantly held them both back AND launched Deku foward to give him a large head start. Keep in mind also that Quirks use up stamina and Todoroki had already used his a fair bit here. So he's going to be drained. This is all even more obvious in the manga.
@@gyver8448 This argument could work if Todoroki didnt use his quirk x5 times more later in the same tournament. And it is not like he needed much stamina to freeze his rivals before the finish line, the stadium entrance was pretty narrow.
You have no idea how much I loved that you said his smile is like Kachan's... You have such great insight already and don't even know it, lol!
Most reactors misses the fact that whenever izuku wants to win he automatically becomes like kachan
forgot how hype this episode was, no fighting, just an underdog doing what no one else would think of to win

Why does this guy seem so kind and chill. He’s really charming somehow!

Awesome reaction as always!
Love it the reaction as always:)
One of the things you start to notice about Deku is that he makes others around him better, too.
Just a curiosity... the original ideia is Deku without quirk(have a one shot manga)
Just wondering if you are continuing with the witcher
I like your reaction!!!

"I hate this episode because the one I wanted didn't win😭" this is how you look

the explosion slow down Todoroki and Bakugo, and give a push to Deku.. i think it's fair for Deku won this match.
