Crew quarters are awesome but i think id rather operate my self with family on board not a huge fan of charter boats but alot of people do like the whole charter style having a captain and crew and all you have to do is kick back and enjoy....keep the cost down i guess
I've been watching dozens and dozens of yacht touring videos and I have to say yours are by far the best. Light and funny but you also point out very practical things and tell us why a feature is so good to have. You cover the boat/ship from top to bottom in sequence and don't jump all over the place like other tour videos do. It gives you a much better mental view of the yacht's layout that way.
@@NautiStyles I learned to sail at the Orange Coast College Sailing Center in Newport Beach. This was 40-50 years ago. They had 2 big sloops donated, 47′ Saudade, and Scandalous (don't remember her length), last boat I remember was Alaskan Eagle. Roy Disney later donated his 86 foot yacht Pyewacket which was a record breaker. Your followers might find it interesting if you did a video or two on the OCC Sailing Center. Besides taking classes towards a degree I believe they still offer fee based classes for the public. They also have big powered boats to teach on. It's an even more amazing place today versus the '70s and '80s when I sailed out of there.

Although I'd prefer a Horizon FD87 for mini superyacht style than the flybridge style at 80ft plus yachts. This has a typical great use if space for a Pearl 80. This the first non white pearl 80. I love the colour, and the galley being crew ready with a press of a button. Is there anyway to have a door to close of the helm and fally area. But when open it still flows lovely. Nice to be underway and the helm in the red lights, and guests can watch a film. Etc. I think Princess, Pearl and Sunseeker have a very similar look to them. Probably why I like all 3. In 18 months I've collected 2550ish walkthroughs in my private file on here. I still see something that blows me away,. I also enjoy coming across new (to me) manufactures. I've come to love the Trideck, The Trawler Yachts, and thanks to Vico power cats. My fav so far is the Silent 80. I like the angled cabin concept. This is a cool yacht. Although I'd prefer a mini trideck. But that's me. Its a lovely yacht.

@@NautiStyles A lot of wives would play slap their spouse for not telling them the coller of their blouse was not lying flat in normal life but before filming??? Having worked in TV a lot it gets to be second nature to check the attire of the presenter before filming. Plus being an observant gentleman... You did notice after? Back in the 80's one of the actors in a TV dramas' main oft repeated line was, "I can do that, give us a job?" He was without a job. As I too am without a job I could come over & be the shows dresser??? lol. One tour I did with Launa Luft, Judy Garlands other daughter, I was doing lighting but also spent three & a half months helping Sue, one of the dancers with her quick changes... She would run to me pulling off her clothes, & I would help her dress & send her back on stage... Very strange??? The male lead, Wayin Sleep was/is gay & I used to sit down when he came near, I was the only male on the tour. 'Hollywood & Broadway the Musicals' who never got his arse felt!!!Stay safe... Steve...
First off, I have to agree with Victoria about the intention of the thing. It really says "owner-operator" in various subtle ways. The practical and leisure spaces are neatly interrelated in ways that suggest the people doing a lot of the work are the people it's being done for. The cross-linkage from salon to galley to bridge, for example. For a family, it looks like when traveling it's parents in the front, kids in the back, and that wall is as much to give the cook & pilot some peace and quiet from the antics in the main room as it is the other way around. They got a lot of mileage out of the extra beam they put on it. More floorspace and height while looking proportional, for sure. It also kept the draft under control, to the point it was hard to measure from inside. I suspect that floor-plan mileage is gonna come back out of the actual mileage, as it were, if you want to push it around fast. 15 liters per mile at cruising speed (25 knot)... is that a lot for an 80-footer? It sounds like a lot. Of course, everything in boats is about tradeoffs, and live-aboard models are going to be staying close to home or on-slip the vast majority of the time. "If there were somewhere better to be, we'd be there already." That said, they really packed a lot of features, and a lot of attention to detail, into every inch of the thing, and they did it without making anything seem cramped or industrial or like an afterthought. They gave you exactly the space you need for what you want to do, while still giving you plenty of room where you need it to get necessities done comfortably -- stairways, access points, hatches, storage spaces all looked generous and handy to deal with. That engine room, just overall! Again, it says "owner-operator" to me. That versatile, self-contained flybridge is brilliant, again suggesting the owners may be serving themselves and guests personally and don't want a million trips up and down the stairs every night. It's got a little of everything concentrated down from the rest of the boat, like a "mini-me" carried as a backpack. It even has room -- and apparently the structure -- to support a jacuzzi up there if you wanted to trade off some dance space for it. And yet... and yet... it's not a luxo-tub. If you don't mind spending a few gallons, 3600hp will make it get up and boogie at 35 knots along with the "sporty" boats on that planing hull. It's just lurking there, waiting for you to call upon it... so civilized in all its ways until you feel like turning it loose... then RAWR! Overall, this vessel reminds me of what Car & Driver Magazine said about the Mercedes-Benz S600 top model back in about 1993... "It's too much car for too much money." For someone with the starting capital, the ongoing income, and the skillset to play at that level, that's the sound of pleasure all around, and for every occasion :)
great take on it, I totally agree. Rico said the consumption is pretty standard for the size and the engines. totally can do a hot tub up there and owner-operator would be very doable and comfy

No rattle strips to German engineering, do you think they knew Rico would do the tour with you? I think Pearl got it right apart from the port starboard overhead blinds behind the captains seat. So, no hat & no stripes but a wonderful boat & a great tour by my favorite captains... Thank you both... Stay safe... Steve...
have no idea what the first sentence means 🙈🙈please translate for the ESL me 😜 yes, take a break from the stripes and wondering how many will notice 😝 apparently MANY 🙈😎 haha, thanks for watching 💙
Steve...
@@NautiStyles You looked as lovely as ever!!!
Great looking yacht! Thanks for showing her!!!!!!
29:50 looks like it could be an aquarium 🐠 🐟
"If there were somewhere better to be, we'd be there already."
That said, they really packed a lot of features, and a lot of attention to detail, into every inch of the thing, and they did it without making anything seem cramped or industrial or like an afterthought.
Agree ...to my mind it's for the person who could afford a much bigger yacht but wants one they can own and operate themselves.
