Looks cool would like to have seen it picked and brushed out.
I am lucky My wife makes and sells these on eBay and I get to grab one every now and again. Dubbing brushes save a whole lotta time on the vice and the end result is very satisfying. Thanks for sharing.

This is the most sensible & least costly method for making a dubbing brush that I’ve seen online. I’m surprised you didn’t wax the wire.
    Re: the hook
I assume that it is a Mustad 9575. You might want to hang onto them. They are getting more expensive & a bit harder to find. They are stronger than a round eye & provide a better platform for adding layers of bucktail &/or winging feathers for streamers, especially hair wings or Rangeley style like the Gray Ghost, Montreal Whore, etc.

I've been looking for a way to make a dubbing brush without purchasing a table...this will do the trick!

HAIR EXTENSION SPARKLE FLASH is dirt cheap, 4ft long, tough and strong! I bought some and it looks exactly the same as you buy from Fly Tying Store's!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought them at £1.69 a packet from off the AMAZON.

Would a plastic coated multi core wire be just as good 🤔thinking of the ones we get for fishing

Tapered Loop - Provides a smoother transition from the eye loop to the hook shank. Allows for tying a smaller head than an untapered loop.

Do this with a cutting board bro, it's waaaay easier. Just just that and folder clips, and for the love of Cthulhu, brush it while you spin! lol.

What type of "synthetic hair" is that? These brushes really eat up some material in craft fur, etc. so an affordable synthetic like that would be nice!

Travis Estes I get most of my material for big pike flies on eBay. Some very insane deals on there if you look around and are willing to wait for delivery.

Nice. What is that particular synthetic you are using here called? It looks like SF fiber or something but that stuff gets expensive.
