This has been a dream of mine for the longest time and I am so excited to be sharing the whole experience with you! From going and shopping in the boutique store in London and also unboxing! I am so happy with my very first Chanel bag and proud to of ticked off a big dream of mine to purchase this myself!

Just discovering you and love this video. I watch a lot of luxury you tubers who buy so many things all the time that they all seem like millionaires. Yes, I have the exact bag. My sweet boyfriend bought it for me in Paris in 2016. Still beautiful and classic today.

You should have gone for the caviar, the bag already has a scratch and its brand new. Big difference is when you buy caviar it looks dull, but In time the leather shows it sheen and retains it's like new appearance. The opposite for the lambskin where the quilting looses it's puffiness, lots of scratches and ends up with a dull appearance.
Not to mention the animal cruelty

Congrats on your new bag! Make sure you pad the chain strap when you store it so it doesn’t cause dents on the leather where it rests. Totally agree on the lambskin. It’s so much more luxurious than the caviar. I got an organizer for my Chanel bags so that the leather inside does not scratch. Any scratches buff out well on lambskin amd lambskin ages so well.
Felt like we were in the Chanel boutique with you, so lovely to experience the journey and purchase with you..... and it is a journey, many years in the making.

I got my first Chanel bag (double flap) last christmas (2019) in the same boutique in London & it is my baby indeed. We flew out to Las Vegas the next day to get married & i used it the whole time we were there. I felt so proud carrying it. The whole experience of purchasing it was amazing and something i will never forget😍 Although she never got as much use in 2020 as i would have liked for obvious reasons😕. To answer your question on the zipper on the main flap, this is a classic feature which was kept from the original design of this bag many years ago. Apparently it was where Coco Chanel kept her love letters. It was deemed a classic feature hence why it has been kept in the design of the more recent styles. Enjoy your bag🖤💌🥰
I have one LYXBAG bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

Be very careful how you store this bag. The chain strap can imprint on the lambskin if pressing against it.
I have been debating on what I want to save for as my first bag, I deserve to finally treat myself and this is my dream bag. Instead of settling for the Saint Laurent Solferino(which I still have on my wishlist), I decided I’m just going to save and try and get a flap before the next price increase! Lovely video!!

With constant tugging you’ll run the risk of popping the stitching on either side. It’s only there because it’s a double-flap. It’s not a pocket.

So much cheaper in the UK! I got mine when I had a stop over in Seoul Korea at Duty Free (tax free) last July 2020. I’m glad I got mine at that time because it’s about 8k USD now in the US cause of Covid. I still saved about $1000.

The medium sits beautifully on you - completely agree. I've just returned from Paris (31 Rue Cambon) and wanted the CLASSIC CARD HOLDER in black - had the most amazing experience but left my passport in the hotel safe, so I was unable to purchase. The first time I got money to purchase a Chanel handbag I visited the store in Bond Street. I thought I was dressed smartly and it was 20mins before anyone noticed me and then gave me a number. I had no idea how long I would wait and felt a bit self conscious waiting. I then got bored of waiting and wandering then I just walked out. went to Selfridges instead. Not too busy and they were much nicer.
so late but don’t keep it in a dust bag because bags get mold if there in a dust bag just use it for traveling ❤️❤️
