Jonathan Jackson and Tony Geary=24 karat every time. Gotta' love Tony Geary's fearlessness...He would go darker than the writers wrote for him. He wasn't there for Luke to be a hero. Luke saved the world from the Cassadines and killed his "grandson." The same guy. And Jonathan Jackson could hang with him--and sometimes out-act him (No small feat) in every scene they shared. Amazing....and say what you like about Steve Burton. This confrontation...The look Jason shot Luke at the end of this clip... That alone was gold.
This scene is literally one of the most heart wrenching, the most emotional between JJ and Tony Geary. Lucky and Luke no matter how many times I watch it, I just feel the pain...😢
My gosh, the acting is so excellent here. Better than most. Only these two could make this scene so believable. Both are so good here. Anthony Geary's shock and breaking down in this scene gets to me. Lucky's pain, and anger, Luke's guilt. Dynamic.
This is why Jonathan Jackson left GH, it was one catastrophe after another. He left to help his mental health. What was Jake doing out in the dark night?
I've been watching GH for 45 years and I remember everything!! This episode was one of the most powerful ever!! They need to bring back Johnathan Jackson and Tony Geary needs to return from his retirement ASAP 💯
5:30 am and I cannot sleep I’m in tears bawling my eyes out, my gods JJ and TG, what a pair of phenomenal actors, They always knock it out the ballpark but here….the denial, the acceptance, the pain…”don’t hate me” “I can’t hate you dad…” Theemotions… MY EMOTIONS 😢😢😢so good. 20/10!
Amazing!! The torture he must be feeling knowing he killed his son's son would be unbearable to any man. Anthony Geary pulls off this devastating torture beautifully!
I so love when Jason finds out! That was the most powerful show ever!! I feel sorry for Luke because after a few years later Jake is so alive and Luke didn't kill him
Yeah, one of the biggest flaws in this show is that anyone who dies can come waltzing back through the door at any moment. My heart utterly broke when Lucky died, but meh, it was just a cheap trick. 😠
I wonder if they will revisit this in some fashion now that JJ is back for a while, where Lucky steps into the father role while dealing with his greatest fear of passing this down to Aiden.
I started watching GH in 1979. Luke was a hero; someone to look up to. I hate what the writers did to the character. They gave him a slow, painful-to-watch Andy Bernard treatment. Turned him from a slick, hero-type into a drunken, broken old man.
@@BulkBeard Nope. How many bad decisions have you made in your life? Have you written yourself off totally? No chance of redeeming yourself? Give me a break.
Heavy heavy sceen Luke is wonderfull oh wow so is Lucky oh wow 😳 Emmy for sure I hope Luke gets it he is wonderfull actor Lucky is really good actor also I hope they both get it❤❤❤❤
Yes. Those lines break me. The way I sob when lucky is just so resined in everything as he sat”I can’t hate you.” (the never utter but so clearly loud, but you killed my son 💔💔💔💔)
I realize it was Tony who pushed for Luke to be this dark, troubled character with all the demons. But damn it, I can't forgive the writers for driving such a ghastly wedge between him and Lucky. I came for the soap, not for some horrific Greek tragedy. And I HATE the damned writers for revising history! Luke was never an alcoholic when he ran the disco, or went traipsing around the world playing spy, or when he married Laura.
Helena Cassidine, strikes again, and poof Jake is alive. In 2023 GH isn’t as good as the old days of Luke and Laura, Lucky, Lulu, and Nicholas. That’s why I watch old episodes.
He's held responsible for his grand son's death and his accident as well he should turn himself into the authorities because nobody is perfect we all make mistakes
JJ is pulling this story 100% while Geary just step in and give it more lift becuz honestly I felt their pain and belived their lines more than Sb and Rh. An I love Sb and Rh but found them rather bland then amazing.
AShotOfJasam this entire scene was phenomenal AG and JJ are phenomenal actors but with this storyline but they ONLY focused on the guys in this particular storyline. they didn't even let Liz show any emotional scenes in this storyline. Rebecca Herbst is an amazing actress (look at the rape storyline) Steve the brain damage and Robin storyline was his best. The writing for this storyline was just ... Off.
Messylin they ONLY focused on the guys in this particular storyline. ( Tony, Jonathan and Steve) they didn't even let Liz show any emotional scenes in this storyline at all. It's so accurate, though, the denial with alcoholics and drug addicts.
Yes denial is the worst

He left to focus on music and his band.
Elizabeth got distracted and left the door open.

One word PHENOMENAL!!! They are so amazing, the acting on GH is the best, they have the best actors than any show!!
So powerful, Anthony and Jonathan together is just amzaing
THIS was GH!
Whatever they are paying these three, it's well WORTH it! Keep it up, Johnathan, Tony and Steve.

This scene is the best!!!
So sad Anthony Geary is no longer part of the show, and is Tyler Christopher (RIP)!
Wow wow wow that's all i can say powerful powerful
Wow Jonathan Jacks awesome.
Great storyline.... Damn!! Luke/Anthony is amazing!!!
Lucky you have every right to be mad at your dad because what he did ok, he feels bad enough, he loves your son

Luke was telling the truth, he wasn't drunk. Shut up Lucky.

Luke is charged for his grand son's death he is held responsible for it as well
and Luke is STILL drinking on the show...
Yes, because he is and always was a selfish drunk jackass.

The best of the best playing off each other.
I bet the rest of the cast just set back and watched these 2 amazing pros bring it.
