All I Need for Christmas was the most 'conventional' plotwise and the least compelling of the week, the bizarre brother/sister (Emily Tennant nearly unrecognizable as a redhead) thing notwithstanding. Santa Class was pretty fun, but I could've used more Amnesia Santa and less school competition. Yonder Star was the big surprise. It wasn't very Dayspring-y, the general plot was pretty ordinary, and it had its issues, but it really worked for me. The I'm Not Ready for Christmas thing was/is all about Bill Abbott's obsession with the song. He was at her NYC concert 2wks ago where the topic came up.
There's plenty of overt promotion (graphics when songs play during the movie, Jennifer coming on during commercials) but unlike Cher's last year the songs aren't distinctive enough from the usual background music to memorably stand out.
