    I have wanted a A51 for years, ever since I heard it in a hotel room at a show playing through M&K S150 speakers it was one of the most visceral and dynamic home theatre sounds I have ever heard (even to this day) ... I will never forget it ... incredible and easy on the ears even at super loud volume. Parasound and M&K is a match made in heaven

    • @ThatHomeTheaterDude
      @ThatHomeTheaterDude  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, there is a certain intrinisc factor that parasound has. I like the speed of delivery that mimics enhanced detail in music. I am very impressed

    • @dannykl6883
      @dannykl6883 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Home Theater Dude a lot of people find that the M&K’s can sound a tad bright and clinical. I think the midrange warmth of the Parasound counteracts this, they seem to balance each other out superbly. I don’t own either brand btw I have Dali Epicon speakers and NAD Masters series amps. System synergy is so important when putting AV (or stereo) components together I realised it after hearing that demonstration . It must of been 15 years ago at least, way before Dolby TRUHD or DTS HD had been invented I think we had only just made the jump from Laserdisc to DVD!

    There is a 12V trigger out on the A31, so you can daisy chain the other amp.

    • @ThatHomeTheaterDude
      @ThatHomeTheaterDude  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats true. But there is a limit on how many you can daisy chain in a row. the weak link is the AVR. That one unit dictates how many other ones can be chained together. Its in the user manual.

    Congrats on those baby feet in the intro man! Now I know why you have been busy! LOL Great review, Great Amp! I am a big Parasound fan. I have my front LCR speakers bi-amped with three A- 23 Halo amps. Parasound is always great bang for the buck. Great build quality, and performance. Yeah it is true about loud noises with babies. When my 2 year old was born he would never sleep, but would cry for hours. Curious if you have ever used Crown xls 1502 amplifiers? I have a car audio Cerwin Vega Pro Stroker 12" subwoofer in a 1" MDF ported box that I used to be able to use in my car. But getting married and having kids I had to give back my truck space. I ran my subwoofer at 1600w rms at 1 ohm using a hifonics brutus amp. I'd like to try to use this subwoofer in my home audio system since it's just collecting dust now. I have a Klipsch 10swi sub and want to add another to my system. Thanks for the video, but just a few constructive criticism points. You're talkin about these amps get you're not even sure about the class of amplification. Before you do the review or the video it's going to sound better if you have confidence in what you're talkin about and know exactly what you're talking about. Secondly you mentioned the Watts that has but is it with all channels driven is it Peak power is an RMS? It would be good to just stay at exactly the wattage. And then lastly you compare a little bit to the outlaw monoblocks but you don't describe in detail the difference in sound. I think it would make sense for you to mention the difference in sound quality in particular.

    I own Outlaw amps including the 2200's. They are well built and very hefty. There should be no sound quality difference between the Outlaw and the Parasound as they are both near the same power rating. The Outlaw has no high frequency rolloff though the Parasound may which could account for "perceived " sound difference.

    • @ThatHomeTheaterDude
      @ThatHomeTheaterDude  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the wattage difference isnt much but the class of amplification is what makes the difference. Class A/B and H is what the outlaws deliver. Arguments can be made for both. Its one of those things that you have to experience to understand. Hopefully there is a store or a convention near you to check out. I heard these in action at AXPONA in chicago.

      The tonality changed and it seemed to be a little more detailed in sound recreation especially with music. Guardians of the Galaxy sounded amazing when I made the switch

      @@ThatHomeTheaterDude I was just trying to share a suggestion. Incorrect on having this setup giving you good bass, with actual understanding of physics and electrical engineering, I can confirm you there is no way you can get optimal sound from that placement. First, having the subs place in the middle of the wall instead of in the corners will mean that the subs themselves will not be as loud. Second, when you do not place the subs in opposing corners, you are not allowing the subs to combat room nodes. The benefit of multiple subs is the ability to equalize the bass energy in the room thus eliminating or smoothing out nulls and peaks. You have a really nice system and I'm sure you can try it out. Cheers.

      so you are saying you know exactly how the room sounds without ever being here?

      @@ThatHomeTheaterDude room corners vs not work the same way this is physics. Your corner may sound better or worse than another corner, that needs presence in room, but you don't need to be in any room to say how two subwoofers would perform in corner vs being close to center. You're mixing science with feelings. Yes one needs to be in a room for certain placement, but doesn't need to be in a room to instant notice an issue with specific placement errors regardless of how a room is. The location you have is a class sub optimal layout. Again, just because you feel it may be better doesn't mean it actually is. I don't get anything out of trying to tell you that, so you can do whatever you want. You can also see some old audioholics articles that talk about this very issue people make often.

    Man, hearing you talk is annoying! You repeat yourself non-stop. You didn’t really say anything that was informative, it’s all specs you can find on the net. Not trying to be a jerk, just my opinion. The other audio guys talk smoothly and concisely, you should try to do that.
