Mathew 5:17. And the new testament has quite a few violent and homophobic parts as well. While I do agree of course, ISIS should be condemned, american and european soldiers are also going to middle east to 'defend' their christian nations and societies, take Iraq for example, an illegal invasion which resulted in more than million people killed. And just remember the inquisition, genocides over three continents, while forcibly converting native americans and aboriginals, think about that for a while and you won't look upon ISIS the way you look upon it now. We know precisely what our holy book says. It's a matter of context and proper interpretation. This man also read some levitical laws, of which are not to be applied any longer. The ones from the NT are being read without context, as well, and are missing the point entirely.

As a Christian turned atheist I will say there is nothing inherently wrong with Muslims or Christians, I do however think it’s funny how many people don’t realize how similar the three Abrahamic religions are.

There are many differences between the two religions. Islam Jew and Christians need to get along and one day I hope to change that and we can all see eye to eye, sounds impossible but I will never succeed unless I try, and that will be my goal in life.

This is actually just a misreading of text. Allow me to explain. This verse, if using the meaning portrayed, would contradict what Paul said about women "praying and prophesying" in church. So instead of being against it, he actually gave instructions instead on how to do it correctly.
Women prophesying in the assembly was in keeping with what the apostle Peter said was characteristic of the New Covenant gift of the Spirit predicted in Joel 2, “‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…’” (Acts 2:17). Both sons and daughters shall prophesy. This means that this verse if interpreted as women shouldn't speak in church, it would contradict other chapters, which is not possible, for God cannot contradict himself.
To add, the context of Paul in this verse is that women should not speak during judgement of prophecies.
