Great work! Native plants rock. Long standing member and contributer to Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, Jack Schieber, son Gil Schieber.

We have been dealing with many plants that have a strong scent in spring ,overpowering . They have silver green leaves and small thorns that hurt when you gather branches. Many have been springing up in our fields. My husband cut many of them down to the roots but they have grown back and look like they were never cut a few months later. The roots are very hard to remove. After much research, they comes up as , Russian Autumn or Olive.

Just saw a video. Nature Niche. Mondays with Martha. She goes into Autumn Olive and methods to eradicate. I recall it really needs an herbicide.😢 Good luck.

Noxious weed for you. Here in W.Washington no fertile seeds! So jams and juice component to sustainable landscape.

It is an estate in Hockessin, Delaware, USA.
It is now a garden and native plant research facility open to the public.
