Regardless of sancho being starved she is nowhere near vergilius’ level. If we’re to take the numbers ingame at face value, you’d be saying vergilius got tired fighting a LEVEL 50 equivalent of sancho. You gotta make some allowance between gameplay and story. And not take datamined values as fact.
Verg was also using his EGO and remember becoming a sinner nerfed the sinners in many ways, Sancho is probably also affected so Verg was wiping the floor with a nerfed and starved Sancho. (Remember, Outis did mention if she was not nerfed, she would have been a lot stronger which makes sense as she is a smoke war vet and probably an officer for one of the wings. We all know Ryoshu is strong because of her keen senses and swordsmanship, such as being able to sense a shi assassin from a higher section.)

@ Dunno about that, gregor’s nerf was his arm being nerfed not his actual being(cause his arm was supposed to be far more violent which is probably the arm having heavily enhanced reflexes and senses which got dulled as a nerf). The nerf probably varies between all the sinners, such as Outis and Ryoshu being reduced to only having their techniques and experience backing them up and not physical strength.

I'd still say Sancho is terrifyingly strong on her own regard... After all, Elena was capable of fighting both Roland and Angelica, and not only survive, but gravely injure at that Angelica... Now obviously Sancho still gets defeated by Vergilius any day rn, but the fact is, he still got a bit exausted after the fight, that is no small feat at all on Sancho's side. Specially cause Sancho is still not powered up fully to her max potential, Remember that ALL bloodfiends if fed enough can manifest a secondary hardblood face, that being the point they are at their strongest, and that secondary face manifestation was enough for someone like Casseti, who used to be a low 6th kindred, barely fodder of the parade bloodfiends who most of them where like, 200 HP and such... made him shot up all the way to being able to handle giving problems to wing with none of the agents being able to oppose him... that is a scary glow up of difference of being fed and not fed makes for a bloodfiend... And we dont Know what number of kindred Elena used to be... for all we know Elena used to be a 3rd kindred or lower, and she was handling a Colour fixer as a bloodbag alongside the previously stated Roland and Angelica fight. Sancho, if one day ends up being overfed enough to manifest the secondary face, she'd be plenty scary over all, even with this all she may just barely manage to just be an equal to Vergilius. Which seems like a fair estimate over all. Tho at that point she'd prob regain her sanity if she was overfed to manifest it, ence in reality that fight would not happen realistically speaking... so we may never truly know.
I’d like to think after we finish the 12 cantos and the sinners start moving forwards with their lives beyond being on the bus, Don may wish to keep working with Verg(due to him being a color and someone she idolizes) and at that point Verg may very well start teaching her or she may observe enough of Verg’s fighting style and techniques to start using them herself(as she did with Bari). You also failed to mention, Sancho is probably also affected by the nerf of becoming a sinner and Verg was using his EGO.
@DistressedCrab we dont ever know, but she def isnt a high tier bloodfiend given how in DD she is refered to as an average bloodfiend who went rogue against their elders, so she def isnt a 1st kindred, and prob not 2nd kindred neither, and much much much less the progenitor since we dont even know nothing about who the progenitor of Bloodfiends is and it will def not be elena who is just a random average bloodfiend
@eryx0329 from what I remember, nosferatu (bloodfiend abno from gebura's floor) is supposed to be a mimic of the progenitor. Which is why he becomes very inhuman when he transforms. It's also how we knew about bloodfiends fear of water.
A reminder to powerscalers that Vergillius' hp and numbers during the Peccula fight were "??" for a reason, to show off how cool he is and the datamined numbers are NOT representitive of a power level. Powerscaling in PM is dumb anyway since they make it a point that even the colors die needlessly from just a bad day.
This cutscene was really cool in showing the potential of Sancho i wonder how powerful she would be in a non emaciated state as she was always being held back whenever we saw her fight

BTW how does shin/mang actually work in the game? I mean his passive to generste it based on SP works (at least it says do),but what does it actually do?
in lore it's just adding the light energy you have on to weapon/limbs, this way doubling the damage you done and making attacks you done stronger, Iori is the first one who did it in city and the shin/mang wasn't a thing before White Nights and Dark Days, so i assume it's connected to light energy. it's probably like unique effects such as hardblood and coffin making your attacks stronger and doubling the damage you done but works as some sort of passive not a status effect.

People fail to realize that Vergilius suffered no damage. Dante doesn't even comment on Vergilius getting hit at all. Meaning it was likely a one-sided stomp, but Sancho just clashed a bit before being put in her place

But if they DO roll that high, i honestly think that there is any fucking way any sinner might outclash weakest Vergilius egoless skill
if you open game's source file, you see VergiliusHurt standing illustration. it means Vergilius got hurt even tho he used E.G.O while Sancho is mentally harmed. so i guess they're almost on the same level if Sancho was mentally fine.
Remember, we know bloodfiends are powerfull, in LoR it took Roland and Angelica to beat Elena, wich for what we know its not even close to the eldest kindred generations. (Im not counting her battle whit Binah cuz, c'mon its Binah and has the damn birds has reinforcement in her floor). My dude Vergilius solo this, he really deserves the Red color B)
