Always remember when you argue with others... are we arguing over a false dichotomy? Are we clinging to false certainty? Are we designed to protect the very prison that has ensnared us? We must fight compassionately to wake each other up to whatever truth we find... and we must be willing to surrender to the truths others may have... the human family must survive together.
Best fight scene ever!
That would be Chuck Norris vs Bruce Lee
Met Roddy Rowdy Piper back 2015 and what great gut he was!!!AMAZING
rip
"Now put on the sunglasses, or start eating that trash can."
Best line ever.
This scene is an allegory of how hard some people fight to avoid even trying to see things from a differently.
This should be the ad for Prada Sunglasses!
Ahhhhh they solgan Prada “ the dam glasses put em on”
Pravda TRUTH VERDADE REAL VERITAT
The black guy actually knows from the start that his friend is right. He refuses to put on the glasses because he ALREADY knows that he gonna see smth that he does not want to see. This is a fight for his comfort zone.
YES. This is why this fight os so long. It shows how hard some people will fight out of fear of seeing things differently and having their beliefs challenged. This is Cinema.
@@spasebar The real one. Not like modern fem Marvel-DC shi
PUT THE GLASSES ON!! PUT THEM ON!!!
"Not this year'
Men are funny like that… 2 guys who have an all out fight and nobody stops it… 9 times outta 10 they end up friends. Good friends even.
Maaaannn... I was 7 when this movie came out. Didn't really see it until my late 20's or 30's. This scene has a metric shitton of depth far exceeding it's entertainment value.
It came out the year I was born:) but luckily, my dad showed me 80s action flicks, and I quickly learned what I missed out on
My favorite movie fight scene, such a classic
I like the Behind the Scenes video about this fight on the 4K remastered picture Blu Ray release from StudioCanal, they planned out most of the moves before hand doing several takes, Roddy Piper & Keith David having input for the best moves and John Carpenter was figuring out how to hide the thin mattresses from being seen by the cameras.
The commentary is very informative, as well as very entertaining, it seems John Carpenter and Roddy Piper got along extremely well. Roddy kept saying that he overacted in several scenes, but Carpenter kept saying that he did very well for his first movie role. The story that Roddy Piper says during the motel scene with Keith David actually happened to Roddy when he was a kid, so he's genuinely speaking from the heart.
These clips makes our days better
Sleep... Sleep... Sleep
Most savage fight ever.
The most long pulled most unnecessary fight in movie history
Ur mom is long pulled
I was thinking the same back in the days. Then I realized what the black guy is actually fighting for. For his not-knowing.
Truth hurts
The leg trip from ground position on david from Pipper after having the haggis smashed to holy heck was pretty smart in terms of being on the short end of the shillelagh. 😅😂
great choice! i think that fight is still going on...
"...ok....alright..." Great way to start it.
Outstanding
I love how he instantly forgets about his back window being smashed like “ok I forgive you brother you made me see white people for who they really are, you a real one”
gonna sound like a stupid question, but is Keith David from Detroit? i notice alot of the characters he plays comes from Detroit both Frank n Al Simmons(Spawn) are from Detroit.
nope, he's from NY
They Live is true. Except for the space alien part. We do it to ourselves.
Basically a documentary.
