Another great video Mike. I’ll say this again. We purchased our Hyundai hx160L last month because of your info, videos and opinions of Hyundai equipment. We have completed several septic installs and clearing jobs. We can set 10,000lbs concrete tanks with it 💪. I actually need to get my local dealer out to me help show us all the different things it can do. We have also found it seems to be pre wired for many options. So adding on or upgrading it should be easier in theory.
A most excellent Q&A... however, you didn’t answer my question... “Does it come with a Pepsi cooler option?” (Asking for a friend!) I’ve enjoyed the vids of this machine... I worked in Quality Assurance for over 35 years. I know how difficult it is to test supplier goods without bias and personal preference. You sir have done a stellar job of walking that line. Thanx
Mike, I have to tell you that you surprise me on a lot of videos. I looked at the title of this video and I didn't know if I wanted to watch it. It didn't sound that interesting to me. I felt that way with the one with Tyler as well. I have to tell you that I really loved the video. You have a knack to be able to keep things interesting and fun. I have never been an operator of any heavy construction equipment. I watch a few guys on TH-cam and love all their channels. I haven't watched one of your videos thinking that I wish I didn't see it. I have enjoyed every single one. Were they all perfect? No one does perfect, but I have to say that you do Dirt Perfect!! Thanks for sharing and putting the time and energy into such a great channel!
Most machines are fairly comparable in each class as far as capability and features. One thing Hyundai does that would be a huge selling point is how they label all their parts with the part numbers. For someone like me who does his own maintenance, that is a major advantage. If I was in the market for a machine I would look at a Hyundai first.
Hey Dirt Perfect & Juston, thanks for this video and the explanations regarding the Hyundai!! Based here in Las Vegas but as I go around, am seeing more and more Hyundai equipment out here on the West/West Coast (CA, NV, AZ, WA, OR, etc.) so they have to be doing something right or else it's a very short story. Anyway, really appreciated the video series and Hyundai/RECO Equipment definitely picked the right person to demo this machine.
Well, all good things come to an end...... so they say..... I can tell you were sad to see her go, I think one similar may be heading your way sir!!! Your videos have been informative, funny and interesting. I'm sure you have had plenty of discussions with Reco and Hyundai and gave them food for thought. And not forgetting Officer Hoover about the tie down points! I can safely say that I will not be able to view the sticker as I am on the wrong side of the pond Mike !! 🤷♂️🤣
It would be great to have a new machine but the cost savings of buying used makes that difficult especially if you don't put at least 40 hours a week on a machine. The Volvo seemed to be the best value. Have you checked with Volvo to see if the controls can be set up for finer control. Sometimes it's just a pilot pressure setting. Sometimes it involves replacing parts in the joystick.
I don’t foresee a future without a Hyundai being towed around southern Indiana by the Puppy Dog. It might have steel tracks but the Hyundai name will be on it.
So one question created by this Q&A session now is where are the tie down points? Not that I would ever have a need to transport an excavator but anchor points would/should be as easily accessible as those lift points are. Especially since the rubber tracks prevent you from your usual method of equipment tie down.
