I've done a phone before, going to do a tab A 10.1 2019 version tonight. Assuming the parts come in. I opted for the digitizer only instead of the preassembled LCD/digitizer hopeful that was not a mistake, saved almost 50$ and the LCD is still good.

Is that regular 3m double sided tape? Or is it a special tape for electronics?
This video was super helpful. I have 2 Samsung Tab As 8.0 SM-T350 that have broken screens. This video helped me to successfully change one but I went a little too fast on the second one and accidently ripped the home button flex cable. Do you have a video showing how to replace it or can you offer any suggestions?

Hello, I recently did this but after disconnecting the battery and digitizer and then reconnecting after replacing the screen my tablet won't boot up. I've checked that everything is properly connected but still nothing comes when I try to start it. The only sign of life is if I hold power+vol down after a few moments the screen lights up for 1 second and but then turns off again. No samsung logo or charge-indicator.
Please how do you fix this exact tablet when it experiences black screen?
How do you separate the back panel from the rest of the board? It seems as if it is glued on quite well. I think that someone used epoxy during the last repair. It doesn't seem to melt with the heat gun. I worry that I might damage something if it is too hot? I was thinking of putting it on a hot plate?
Depending on the model and type of screen some can be removed as shown in the video but i have seen that the newer model Galaxy tabs are a bit different
The question I have is. The Digitizer i just received has adhesive on the back already. Should I still use the double sided tape?
if you want more resistance yeah but typically that pre applied adhesive should do the trick

I have been looking for this! My dad's tablet is VERY badly cracked (From a small fall off of a picnic table landing screen first onto some rocks and wood chips and stuff [Don't judge, we were camping!]) He ended up buy a new tablet and transferred everything to it. But, I want to fix it so we can use it again, all I need to do now is get the stuff to fix it.

Folks, remember, always, always disconnect the battery flex cable, if you don’t you can cause a motherboard problem by frying a circuit or a pad since there is still electricity running.

Would a hair dryer work just as well for heating up the sides?
Yes it would but be very cautious on where the heat goes because you can burn your LCD (not reponsible for any damage done)
Put a t-shirt over the LCD to protect it! 👍
