      True. Jay and Double J played their parts incredibly as the opposition.
      Everyone but Flair made me care at first but I hope Ric really does have closure so we don't get a memory that doesn't hold up to this.

    For a 73-year-old man, he didn't do bad. As Bischoff said, the man can let go of the character. The Four Horseman was the greatest group ever in professional wrestling, and Ric was one of the greatest of all time.

      I guess that's one way to look at it. Still, although he didn't do bad for a 73 year old, it was a perfect example of why nobody should ever wrestle at that age. It was far from a pretty sight. I'm just very relieved that he made it through the match alive. It was pretty scary seeing him immediately following the match. I hope he just sits back and takes it easy now for the rest of his time on Earth. He's more then earned it.

I would love to see Ric teach young wrestlers how to develop their own unique skills. JMO. God bless all who reach this point in their careers. I'll put it this way, I never particularly liked Flair (!), as a character, or in other words his role as Nature Boy, but I don't have to, I rather liked Hogan. But no matter what the stories were, I always respected and valued him for his role in the ring as well as when he fought in WCW, ordering and voiding victories. His speech is heartbreaking. but what you do, being on the road as Chris Benoit, is disgraceful, especially with this photo, really ashamed of you, and then comment under a video that everyone knows many will see, and with it your comment "Chris" .

    Jay lethal needs to take this situation and build it into his storyline. He’s so good, his mannerisms he’s so old school. The bS w him and Samoa joe and dutt is ok but this is better. Andrade and lethal need to feud man.

    • @randomtees
      @randomtees ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I mean, that actually makes sense. You can have a Lethal vs. Andrade feud featuring Flair. Lethal is angry at Andrade for being Flair's tag partner even though Lethal trained him.
      Flair comes out and supports Andrade, but when they finally face off at a PPV, Flair crawls into the ring with the same brass knuckles from his retirement match. He walks past Lethal and hits Andrade with the low blow. Lethal wins and Flair becomes Lethal's manager.

    Everyone subconsciously wanted to see Ric have a Randy the Ram moment. It was ultra hype for the final and l I heard from so many people over that weekend that "The Wrestler" was about to play out for real. Think about it; Ric goes Off the top rope...boom lights out. Most legendary finish of all time. Thankfully that didn't happen, but then again not much happened with Ric anyways for his final match. He was coming out there so slow. I think he Woooed maybe once. Started convulsing and shaking at one point. Not a lot of work from Ric on this. Sad because the training videos with Lethal, Ric was going 100x harder.Very last match ever was prob one of the worst (i dont take anything away from Andrade, JJ, or Lethal in saying that either). With that being said, it was still an electric match and card and the crowd made that happen. I'm glad Ric Flair is still alive but please Ric, stay the fuck out of the ring and stay the fuck away from that Saudi money. God bless you for putting it on the line one more time and let the good times roll my friend.Enjoy all the dimes you and Conrad just made from this shit.

    Ric...thank you for everything you've done. You are the reason why I became a fan of professional wrestling. Many years ago, as a kid, I opened up the TV one Saturday afternoon. As I was flipping channels, I came across you and Roddy Piper going at it and I was immediately hooked. You were a pioneer in the profession during the 1980s. Hogan may have been the bigger draw but you have had a much larger legacy. Beginning with the Attitude Era, so many contemporary stars took a part of what you developed in the 80s and used it as a springboard to develop their own characters. When you watched The Rock giving a legendary promo, you saw Ric Flair of the 1980s ramped up a few notches. When you saw HHH put together Evolution in the early 2000s, it was like seeing Ric Flair's 4 Horseman reincarnated. When you see an icon like The Undertaker come to your last match and watch you with the same reverence that a son has for his father, you know you've done something right. Like all of us, you are far from perfect but your legacy can be seen. You've touched many lives along your journey of life. Now enjoy your retirement.
