How I Went From 88 MPH To Making My MLB Debut In 4 Years

- Tread Athlete/staff member Declan Cronin struggled with poor arm action in college, throwing upper 80’s and fighting for playing time, to completely overhauling his mechanics and now throwing upwards of 97 mph. This is Declan Cronin's draft story of being drafted late in the 36th round to making his debut in the MLB only a few years later.

Man the quality of this content is insane! So honored to be a part of tread.
More than happy for that guy, and astronomical level content from tread as always
having a video like this talking about my story is a dream, maybe one day
the odds are long, but not zero...
Crazy how i stumbled across this video without actively searching for it. Just came home from the marlins opener and he pitched 3 clutch innings in extras to hold the pirates to no runs. Had no idea who he was but now i do, crazy what hard work does !
What is this epic content, are you guys getting into storytelling mode now because i am in on this
Just you wait till you see what we’ve got cooking up 👀
Such a great story. Huge congratulations to him for putting in all that hard work. Last I saw him, he was pitching for the Marlins against the Mets in spring training. I'm a Mets fan but as long as he's not pitching against them, I'll be rooting for him lol
As someone who studies and writes about motivation, that phrase about focusing on the next 200 feet is great advice. It's much easier to engage motivation when there are very short term goals that are linked in a stepwise fashion to important long term goals.
was watching the marlins game before my team's game and saw this man go in for relief! Had no idea who he was but was instantly embedded with his performance. good luck on the career!
How inspiring! Congrats!! Hard work pays!!
This was siiiiick!!! Congrats to dude making the Big Show! He's clearly a savage💪😎👍
You know what they say (or I say) practice makes most perfect, no one can be perfect.
He was also on the Astros for a few weeks
Sure was!
That's it right there baby, there you go right there.
Damn, what a story! Humble dude too
A awesome development story
I would like to know more specifically about what work he was doing and what he changed in the training process
Exactly
Aweome!!!
So your telling me there's a chance ~ Lloyd Christmas
Great job white socks we get a good pitcher finally and we let him go
Watched this as he pitched the top of 10th against pirates opening day 2024
My arm action looks similar to his previous in throwing plyoballs in the gym what’s wrong with it

Nice storytelling, but absolutely no specifics on the drills or program. Disappointed. Guy was already 6’4” too lol
That's not really the goal of these types of videos. He's been training with us for 5 years, so there's not one or two specific drills that helped him. It's an all-encompassing program that's morphed over the course of a half-decade now.
He's 6'4 225... Yes please, tell us your secret to throwing more than 88 mph
you def throw low 60's
@@natetalley522 Yeah when I bang your mom
videos without pitching are kinda boring
