We also cover a variety of new sedans, SUVs, and essential industry news to keep you in the loop.
With the rise of Electric Vehicles, you’ll occasionally see EV content here, too. However, as we transition towards an all-electric future, most of our coverage still focuses on fossil-fuel cars from fantastic brands.

It's not the cvt transmissions. The people who buy these vehicles never read the user manual. It gives an outline that the car needs the transmission fluid changed so often. On mine it tends to be 60,000 mi.
I e had plenty of these fail before 60k
Wow, that’s a pretty frequent transmission fluid change! Never thought of that before.
a crappy transmission is a crappy transmission no matter how much you follow the user manual, it will still fail. I had 2 brand new nissans. Both cvt failed before reaching 100k even with the scheduled maintenance. Gettying it warranteed was also a challenge. They will try to deny it.
The only reason they don’t sell their cars is actually two reasons, one their quality dropped and they don’t upgrade their vehicles in 3-5 range, but 7-10 years. Nobody wants that
You make a great point! The automotive market is definitely changing, and consumers are looking for more frequent upgrades and better quality.
The problem they have with cvt transmisions is horrible
CVT transmissions can definitely have their challenges. It's important to stay informed about common issues and maintenance tips to keep them running smoothly.
Carlos Ghosn was the guy that put cvt in all their lineups. He is gone. Dont know why Nissan is still adopting that. Put the old school transmission back. That will bring back more customers.
Totally get what you're saying! Sometimes you just want that old-school feel. Nissan might need to listen to the fans more!
Poor customer service and unreliable cars are the reasons why I would never buy a Nissan again. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool twice...
Totally get where you're coming from! No one wants to deal with a car that leaves you hanging. Time to explore other options!
I had a Datsun built by Nissan the whole of 1980. Great car then, above Toyota. Meanwhile they have slowly fallen behind.
Totally hear you! It's wild how some brands go from top to bottom!
When the Nissan Sentra that used to sell for $14K to $16 all of a sudden became a $27K vehicle, they screwed themselves. If they want to sell, they need to drastically lower their prices and DROP the stupid CVT transmissions!
For real! They’ve got to bring those prices back down to Earth! And yeah, those CVTs can be a headache - who needs that drama in their life?
The Frontier rocks NA 3.8 V6 .....9 speed trans ....this midsize is rocking the country!
Absolutely! The Frontier really does have an impressive setup with that 3.8 V6 and 9-speed transmission. It’s definitely making waves in the midsize truck market!
If they’d at least try to make a transmission that actually worked
You're absolutely right! It would make a huge difference if they focused on creating reliable transmissions.
In 1990, I bought a brand new, stick-shift & totally basic Nissan Sentra, which ran
flawlessly, for 25 years, for an unbelievably low $4,999. plus tax! Nissan has to go
back to selling inexpensive, basic transportation vehicles & people will come back!
You hit the nail on the head! It's crazy how much the landscape has changed.
And of course there was a Nissan ad playing right before viewing this!
Nissan went the way of the big three but years later… taking their customers for granted and having nothing that would create buyers in their lineup
Them cvt tranmissions ruined Nissan and Infiniti
I can understand your frustration! CVT transmissions have definitely stirred up a lot of debate among Nissan and Infiniti fans.
@ replace one and you will understand my frustration 7 years ago it was 4000 to rebuild one 😡
That’s definitely a lot and the way cost of living is going things might just get worse
Cvt is just one of their many reliability problems
1, Poor gas mileage, worse than my pickup truck.
Man, that’s rough! At least your pickup truck knows how to keep the gas station in business 😂
Ask USA for bailouts.
Renault and Carlos Ghosn turned Nissan into junk.
It's definitely a controversial topic! The impact of leadership decisions can really shape a company's future.
Damn
Ha ha ha...falling behind in EV???? and other videos said EV is dead to..what a bs video....
