Taking the Train from Glasgow to London | Avanti West Coast Glasgow to London

- We thoroughly enjoyed our two months in Scotland, but it was time to move on. Our next destination was west London, in the town of Isleworth. We took another train this time rather than flying, from Glasgow Central to London Euston station on Avanti West Coast trains in first class. This was hands down our funnest day of train travel, mostly because of our porter Kevin. Kevin was so kind and funny, and was great with the kids. He joked with them, played games with them, made them feel special. Count yourself lucky if you get to travel with Kevin, he is so great at what he does and he'll let you know he's a Chicago Bears fan!

We are The Traveling Texans- Matt and Meghan, our kids Ryan and Heidi, and my cousin Christy! That looks to have been a wonderful trip.
I live on the east coast on England, near Newcastle and recently had a trip to Glasgow. I actually wanted to book the trip via Carlisle, then up the west coast mainline with Avanti, but the tickets for LNER (east coast) came out first. For the best deals, my wife and I had to be quick, so we ended up travelling from Newcastle up to Edinburgh, then over to Glasgow with ScotRail.
If we go to Glasgow again .. highly likely, we will definitely try Avanti West Coast.

Ironically, Avanti was given an Italian name to honour the fascist dictator Musolini who was said to have made the trains run on time.
